They have a huge selection of video games and as a gamer, I love that. They also have a wide variety of stuff between movies, cds, anime, posters, figures, and whatever else you could be looking for. Now the negative aspect. What I do not like are their prices. I am thrifty, so when I am shopping used video game stores, one tends to get a general idea/feel for what things should be priced at. Slackers tends to price everything above Market Value. Whether they do it because it is a college town or because it is a bit of a nicer area... it seems to be working for them. I love swinging by when I visit my friends in the area, but I hardly ever purchase anything since I can find it for a lot cheaper where I live. Any who, they really do offer a large selection of everything. I love the fact that most of their SNES-era games have boxes on the shelves. Nostalgia kicks in looking at some old gaming boxes. The games don't come with the boxes, as they are store displays. But still cool to see! I will try and snap a few photos the next time I go and update this post with them. It's a great place to scratch almost any nerdy itch you have, but it does come with a premium price. If you are in the area and are looking for something a bit cheaper on the video game side of things., check out Grumpy Bob's Emporium a few miles away. If you need more of a geek fix (board games, figures, comics), you can pop over to Heroic Adventures. It is literally a 2 minute drive from Slackers.

I know I haven't really been searching but why do that when the one store you know and love has been a mainstay?! Walked in on an early Monday afternoon in late november. The sign out out on Dicksonarkway implied…read morea wide selection of over 2000 dads to choose from, as soon as you see the view of the interior of the store from the lot you will understand that this is CLEARLY not the case. It's like your average tiny video store except the floor layout is entirely bare. A small selection of straight/s&m/group flicks on the southern wall, a few toys and novelties on the southern and a TINY gay/TG collection in an alcove that lies in the eastern end of the room next to the cash register. The rest of the room is filled with empty space., No public restrooms, no arcade or theater area. I could go on about how terrible the place was but I think you get the idea. The man attending the store this particular day, I gathered by his conversation with the only other customer in the place, was the owner... of former police detective. I couldn't really tell which was more likely the case. So to summarize if you want a video store with any quality traits AT ALL head to deja vu just blocks down the road.

They sold me a scratched up disc that can't even be read by my ps4. Aren't they all supposed to…read moreknow how to look at discs before buying them from people to resell?? When I went in to see if another copy was available, the short worked with glasses and patchy scruff was rude and snarky. No one knows what they're doing, and bad customer service doesn't help the reputation. This location is absolute trash, and it sucks it's the only GameStop in this area.

One of the ladies there has no clue what she's doing. I asked if they had any Xbox one s consoles…read morein stock in their store to which she replied they did. I personally wanted the one that uses the disc instead of the all digital one so I asked if she had the "normal" Xbox one s that would use disc games. She gave me sass and said that there was no such thing as an "all digital" Xbox one. I tired to explain that there was a console that would only allow people to buy the games online and I did not want that but she didn't understand making me sound crazy. If she doesn't understand what she's supposed to do for her job then she shouldn't have it. What a rude experience.
