This framing place is excellent. First, and most importantly, it is the best framing at the best…read moreprice in Miami. I shopped around for services (even contemplated trying to frame a bunch of things on my own) and came across this company's living social deal (in Nov. 2012). I thought they would jack up the prices to dilute the coupon, but it was so affordable that I got everything I wanted framed PLUS two additional pieces that I hadn't anticipated framing and was able to get a refund for one certificate (bought 3, used 2). The first place I went to wanted to charge me over $700 for 5 items. I paid 1/4 of what I would have paid had I gone to the first place (I used the living social coupon - for argument's sake - had I not used the coupon, I still would have saved almost 50% from the first place I went to). Second, the service was just as excellent as the value. The associate working at the time sat down with me for over an hour and walked me through each piece I had brought in to frame. She went through different mattes and frame colors/styles until we saw the combos that looked good. Also, I went on a Monday to pick up my frames, and even though they were only open for appointment only on Mondays, a man, whom I believe to be the store owner, let me pick up my framed work! Great place, great service, great value. I highly recommend! Very satisfied customer!

Customer service (a thing of the past) is alive and well at Onate Framing Gallery and the…read moreprofessional product that was delivered was just as awesome. The staff is polite, respectful, easy to talk to and bilingual. Not only did they understand the language of framing but also my needs and sensibilities. I had a large oil painting framed in a beautiful gold finish, five smaller frames perfect for the pulp magazine covers I had collected and one exist frame reworked so that it would fit the fruit crate label that was displayed. My reworked frame was completed under the guidelines that if it didn't work it was no ones fault -- which I felt was completely understandable and fine. I was taking a chance and understood the risks. But everything worked out better then I could have dreamed and it was worthwhile driving all that way. I would do it again. My last comment is that they are closed on Mondays.

As someone getting deeper into film photography, finding a reliable local lab was important--and…read moreThacker Film Lab has been a solid option in the East Fort Lauderdale area. From the start, customer service stood out. The person at the counter was friendly, helpful, and made the process easy, especially if you're newer to shooting film and still figuring out what services you need. Pricing felt reasonable, which is always appreciated when you're regularly developing rolls. A big plus for me is that they also sell film on-site, making it convenient to drop off one roll and pick up another without having to make a separate stop. Turnaround time has generally been a couple of days, which feels fair, and they offer multiple options for receiving your images--prints, digital files, and negatives--so there's flexibility depending on how you want your work delivered. The only minor drawback for me was that digital file access runs through an app that requires membership access. Not ideal, but understandable given how many labs now manage delivery digitally. Overall, between the service, pricing, convenience, and location, they check a lot of boxes. For anyone in the East Fort Lauderdale area looking for a dependable film lab, this is definitely a place worth checking out.

Very disappointing customer service experience. I recently purchased a brand-new Leica camera from…read morethe Leica store in Amsterdam, and after arriving home discovered it wouldn't work. I waited until I was in Miami because I assumed a Leica store would be able to assist me with a nearly new Leica product. I completely understand that the Miami store is independently owned and may not be able to exchange a camera purchased at another location. What I do not understand is the complete unwillingness to help. I had the Amsterdam store, where I purchased the camera, literally on the phone and asked the Miami representative if he would speak with them to see what could be done. He refused to even help or speak with the Amsterdam representative who was waiting to see what could be worked out.. Thankfully, the Amsterdam store was extremely helpful, reviewed my receipt, recognized how recently the camera was purchased, and is arranging for a brand-new replacement. For a premium brand like Leica, I expected a much higher level of customer service from an authorized store. Even if an exchange was not possible, simply making an effort to assist a customer or communicate with the selling Leica store would have gone a long way. Unfortunately, that was not my experience in Miami. Makes me even question purchasing a Leica and any customer service to come after that, especially from the Miami store.
