Great food! They have a variety of sandwiches available everyday and have brunch on Saturdays which includes stuffed waffles. You can also buy the meats from the deli and for holidays they do special orders/meals. They often have weekly specials which you can easily see on their instagram. They have a small indoor seating area as well as outside seating which is super cute and heated if you visit when it is colder. It is one of the best vegan places in all of Columbus. The owner is great and the staff are friendly which is a plus! read more

I got a reuben and it was honestly delicious and nostalgic. I haven't had one in forever, and it definitely hit the spot as far as flavors and textures. I also bought a plant-based bacon to try at home and lemme tell you, that thing was like smoked rubber by itself. I tried to eat it alone and that was no bueno. But when I put it on a sandwich or bread, it was a nice, smoky and salty accompaniment to my dish. Overall, I would visit Vida's again for certain. The shop itself is small with not a lot of options for seating, but that's alright since I prefer to get meals to-go. The guys working behind the counter were also friendly and accommodating. Oh! Very creative, plant-based deli meats and other such creations, served in generously portioned sandwiches. Having been to Minneapolis' Herbivorous Butcher and Berkeley's The Butcher's Son, I had some idea of what to expect. It was hard to pick what to order. I eventually went with the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich ($13) and a side of the potato salad ($4). The potato salad came in a pretty generous portion for the price. It was lathered in vegan mayo, with quite a citric lemony character, and a nice crunch from the celery and bell pepper. Solid stuff, though I'd say a tad too citric. The sandwich came out soon after, coming with vegan "beef" (I guess?), a very mayo-like "provolone" cheese, mayo, and fried onions and peppers that help elevate this. Wasn't a huge fan of the cheese on here, it being a bit too creamy and mayo-like rather than cheese-like. But the meat texture was good. Nice large sandwich, quite tasty, and filling. And the two guys working there were super nice and hospitable. I would definitely come back to try their other sandwiches. Highly recommended. read more

Ordered: Philly cheesesteak, Vida's reuben, macaroni salad I was actually craving sandwiches so this place was perfect lol. Also I fricking love veggie meats so I was excited by their variety! I personally preferred the Philly cheesesteak to the reuben, purely because the reuben was a bit sour for me and the crust of the rye was really hard. I will say though that the portions of the sides, like the macaroni salad and the potato salad, are pretty small for their price :// I wish they had filled the container like at least 80% and not like...50%. Also, I didn't have this problem in my sandwiches, but some of the other ones have cilantro D: As someone for whom cilantro tastes like soap, I would appreciate if Vida's could indicate in their menu which sandwiches have cilantro. I can't say enough about this place. I wanted Reuben's for thanksgiving so they were kind enough to sell me a fixings package to make at home. My vegan and non vegan guests LOVED IT! They couldn't tell a difference with corned beef. I'm definitely coming back to see if they have "beef" and melty cheese because I want to recreate the BBC from rax. Very happy with our visit to this fully vegan deli! The store layout is so cute and has reasonably priced cold cuts and cheeses to buy to go. The sandwiches are made to order and are good portion sizes to have you leaving full. The frank and beans side tasted like my mom made them. Such a nostalgic homemade flavor. I would order again. The turkey pesto melt was our favorite sandwich as the pesto had great flavor. I substituted the provolone cheese for pepperjack and it was delicious. The sourdough bread was toasted to perfection and made it feel well worth it to go out to eat instead of making a sandwich at home. The blocks and slices of cheese looked outstanding and work great to serve on a cheese platter for a family get together. read more

I love the idea of a plant-based butcher. Wonderful concept, and the shop is easy to find with parking in front of the shopping strip. I stopped in to check it out and purchased 3 items: bacon, chicken salad, and potato salad. I asked if they sell by the pound, and they do not. They have one size containers, so I got those. I got about 5 or 6 slices of bacon (or facon). These items totalled close to $20. I heated the bacon in a skillet and used for wraps. Yum. I ate the chicken & potato salads as is, and really liked the potato salad. Lots of ingredients and good flavor. The chicken salad is good, but not the best faux-chicken salad I've had (that award goes to Earth Fare, which sadly left Cbus in 2018). It is kind of mushy, not at all chunky. I didn't hate it, but would probably go with a different protein for my next visit. I will definitely stop back for a sandwich and a side. They also had macaroni salad in the case. read more

The potato salad tasted like the salad I used to eat growing up! I've been looking for some good vegan potato salad for so long and I finally found it. I liked the hot ham and cheese, I thought it would be gooey from the sounds of it, but I guess they meant spicy, which it was not too me because I have a high tolerance. I love the ingredients and it was good. The mac and cheese has white cheese and was just ok. I put the cheese steak on a hoagie bun the next day and liked it like that. I had a easy online checkout and my food was waiting with easy access by the door when I picked it up. The little interaction I had with the staff was good. Place is incredible. I've only ordered delivery so far, can't wait to go in person someday soon. I've tried like 5 different sandwiches, my favorites are the BLT and turkey pesto. Both delicious. The turkey pesto was especially a surprise, has like roasted tomatoes and some other sauces, it's so tasty!!! And their bread is so fresh and good!! I must also say their bacon is THE BEST. I have driven there on several occasions, and it has been closed during business hours. I also ordered ahead and picked up and it was closed. It took forever to get a refund. Months have gone by so I decided to order again. This time I ordered from Uber Eats. I watched the delivery guy driving and then it all of a sudden disappeared and they said it was delivered. It was not delivered. I could not get in touch with Vida's and then it took me forever to get to Uber Eats to get a refund. Now I'm Hangry! I am done with Vida's. One of the best sandwich shops in town. I have had the California, chipotle melt, pesto melt, and the cheese steak. Everything here is great. The potato salad is also one of the best potato salads. I wish so badly that I could've given this place 5 stars. I've been eager to try this for months, and finally went for lunch yesterday. As per the staffs recommendations, we ordered the bbq pulled pork and the Philly cheesesteak. The presentation was eh. The Philly cheese steak looked drenched in mayo, and powder. The onions were practically raw and only had onions and peppers on it. The bacon was burnt to a crisp. And I mean blackened, and it ruined the taste of the entire sandwich. The few parts I salvaged that weren't burnt, tasted great. The bbq pulled pork and a cold served sandwich with good presentation. However, the bbq pulled pork was absolutely drenched in this sweet, over powering sauce. Overall, very very disappointed. I have been vegetarian for years and love love love trying new vegan food places. I've passed by it for months, and wondered why I never saw anyone eating there. I know sadly understand. This place has an incredible amount of potential but absolutely failed to deliver. read more

Not sure why I don't come here more often but I do try to make it once a month. There is a vegan deli in Minneapolis that has so many options and is always busy. Have been wanting a spot like that here in my home town Columbus and of course until Vida's opened I have been disappointed. I am no longer disappointed, even though Vida's is smaller and has less options, they have a great selection of plant based food, my favorite is always the plant based bacon of course but they have other plant based meats and even sides. The California and Pork BBQ sandwich were great! It's a bit pricey but both sandwiches were very flavorful. I've recently become interested in Vegan/Vegetarian food so this was a good place to try. I gave four stars for the somewhat uncomfortable experience. We did come in and place our order about 15-20 minutes before close, but this was not our fault. Google maps shows they close at 9:00 PM on Friday and when we called their automated voice system said they closed at 9:00 PM on Friday as well. We realized they actually close at 8:00 PM after entering. I understand it's super annoying for customers to order before close, but their advertising is inconsistent. The guy working there was passive aggressive and impatient with us. He also slammed down his spatula and purposely made a lot of noise due to his frustrations. It was really tense and uncomfortable. While I understand it was annoying for us to order around that time; I don't think we deserved that kind of reaction. I don't know if I'll return because I thought that was really weird. read more

Vida's is awesome! The cold and hot sandwiches are all amazing, and can really satisfy a craving for creaminess. Lunch meats are tasty and come in a range of mild to super smoky flavors. After experimenting with a few of the cheeses, I didn't have success melting them, but decided they are perfect for a charcuterie board. The blue cheese exceeded all expectations and I need to go back to get more ASAP. Also, my boyfriend can't get over the massive vegan ribs. I think there's something for everyone here. read more
