Part of the problem is that there is no clear check-in process. The doors were closed, several had "Do Not Disturb" signs on them, and there was no indication of where customers should go or who they should speak with when they arrive. As a first-time customer, it was confusing and unwelcoming. I understand that appointments can run behind, but basic customer service and communication are important. A simple acknowledgment or update would have made a big difference. Instead, I was left feeling ignored and that my time wasn't valued. The customer focus here definitely needs improvement.

Some people say it's the best one in the tunnels, and other people say it's the best one in the whole downtown area. You can draw your own conclusions if you're something of a sketch artist, but if you need a haircut around here, this is definitely near the top of my list. Yesterday began early with a flight from OAK to Hobby, followed by a short set of afternoon meetings, a beer and a nosh at the Flying Saucer, and then back to the hotel to catch up on work and home emails. I wish I had more social time (especially with some of my Houston Yelp friends), but such is the life of a single father and strategic business trip planning. In between, I stopped at the Plaza Barber Shop for a trim. Despite being a bit thin on top, my sides grow in to a point that the frizz starts to bother me. And with the Houston humidity, it was time. I have stopped here occasionally over the years for mostly the convenience. I usually take whatever barber is available and have always been satisfied with the result.
