Food was good, but the service is sub par. Waitress never came back. Found out they transferred our table to someone else. Last time we came for lunch with our office staff - poor service also. I wanted to give them another chance. Highlight of the night was the great Mariachis. We likely will not return. read more

Excellent food! Excellent service! You definitely get what you pay for here! Prices are good! So glad we accidentally found this place! It's a must try!!! read more

One of my favorite restaurants to go to on Sunday with the family. Family friendly atmosphere with great service and amazing food! Must check it out if you haven't yet read more

This place is terrible. Service is deplorable and the dining area is way too loud. Music is blaring, and u can't hear anyone st your own table. It's like eating dinner in the middle of a night club dance floor. read more

We gave this place another try and the service has greatly improved (we got a waitress). The mango margaritas are fantastic plus I'll get the Shrimp Classic Ceviche. Yum! We probably visited a dozen times since my initial attempts and we enjoyed ourselves. read more

Food was excellent but service was really slow. Lots of TVs but no captioning and Spanish music blaring.

The music is so loud you can't carry on a conversation. There's a DJ...this place is a party. No exceptions for valentines day. The food sucked and was way over priced. I've never had Asian style rice with Mexican seafood. I won't be coming back to waste my cash. read more

We went for a late lunch on a Sunday, around 2 p.m. The food was good but the service was poor. There were maybe 10 other tables filled in the restaurant but a mariachi band came in and started playing so loud that my party left. read more

This place has the best Ceviche in the area! The Classico Ceviche is my go to dish at least once a week! The shrimp fried rice is really good along with some other great dishes! Service is a little slow but worth it for the tasty food! read more

Just ate here with my family, the food is average, the problem was the raw oysters, they were so bad that my family got sick after eating them, you should have more care about your raw material especially in oysters, the waitress was amazing and the manager too but sorry never coming back , it's not safe read more

This was my first time there. The moment we walked in we were greeted politely. Seated and a lady offered us drinks. Seafood was great. I ordered the mojarra frita, which I've had before and it was delicious. Only problem I have is it was FREEZING outside and the temperature inside was exactly the same read more

I have come here at least 8 times. It has been a while because service sucks. A friend told me it has gotten better so this is the second time in as am at weeks to give them another chance. The service is HORRIBLE! Food outstanding tho. Do not come hungry, do not sit at he bar thinking the service will be better. Count on 1.5 hour quick meal. read more

Always good. I love the taco salad. Just the right spice and plenty to eat. Staff is friendly and keeps my water glass full. Thanks for a great meal. read more

Outstanding Service from the greeters to the wait staff and even the manage checked on us twice during our meal. If you are used to Taco Bell or Lupe Tortillas this is not your kind of place. Authentic Hispanic cuisine you will find in Tampico to Acapulco and beyond. Fresh seafood, food was brought to the table quickly. prices are relatively more expensive than most places but quality of food is second to none. Don't look for your typical Laredo plate or fajitas and guacamole here. Keep and open mind and palette. If you go in with expectations of Ninfa's or Doneraki you will be disappointed. This chain is owned by the Los Cucos Family. They are striving for something different and they have succeeded in my book. read more

Gave them a second try... Service is terrible and I won't be back. Their "perfect magarita" is flavored water. It's sad because it looks like they made a big investment. They are riding on grand opening interest but this market will not sustain them for the long term. read more

Visited this establishment at the recommendation of a friend. Was not dissapointed, oysters were very fresh and salty, the presentation on the entrees was phenomenal. The pricing was very reasonable and the service was fantastic. I'm a big halfshell oyster fan, they rinsed the shell opened the oyster and didn't wash away the natural sea-salt like I asked. Right the first time and got better from there. Will reccomend to all my seafood enthusiast friends. read more

Tried this place out in a Saturday evening and was slightly disappointed. It is a Mexican restaurant but had no typical Mexican food at all. No chips and salsa but instead you get bread and butter? This just threw me off. Ordered the shrimp cocktail for an appetizer and was very disappointed. My bf are it all so maybe it was just me. The fish we had was very good. The service was just okay. Had to wait for refills and did not know how to answer menu questions. We asked how big the shrimp were in the cocktail and she replied that she had no idea, she couldn't remember. Strange. The atmosphere was a little weird as well. It's loud with sports TVs on as if it were a bar and the girls were dressed it booty shorts and tall socks, but the food was nowhere near bar food. This place did not leave a lasting impression and have not been back since. read more

I tough I was getting to real good sea food, Food is alright place looks like a replica Michoacan seafood, with a big bar, rather go to captain toms or playa azul for seafood read more

We have eaten there 3 times now. The food and service have been excellent each time. We ate the Parrillada en Barro (for 2). Very generous portions of lobster tail, jumbo shrimp, crab, octopus and oysters served over a bed of rice. A platter with 4 different sauces along with a platter of black beans and tortillas are included. It is pricey $$. We've also eaten the Pez Dorado (mahi-mahi) with diablo sauce too. Excellent and spicy! We will definitely go back. read more

Authentic Mexican seafood dishes, A bit overpriced but the food was delicious and the service was great. We were there on a Saturday evening and were able to get right in because the place is huge. Did not have to wait long for the food to arrive at the table. read more

This place was very good. Stopped in with a date, on a Wednesday afternoon. Place was dead. Had a Margarita, and it was WAY too strong. Ordered Enchiladas de Carnitas, and they were very good. The Michelada my date ordered was very good. It was an open kind of atmosphere with few wait staff. Will be going back read more

Now that they have changed owners, they are awesome. Their ceviche is really good. They have a boiled shrimp for Happy Hour and its wonderful. read more

We love this place, we always take friends and family when they come to visit. The seafood is so fresh, everything is so fresh! Their ceviche is out of this world. And the cactus fruit/prickly pear marg is dynamite! My husband also swears the micheladas are the best he's ever had! This place is fun, we've been there several times when they have had a band or mariachi, it makes it feel like a getaway. The bar and patio is so nice, I can't say enough good things. Oh, and the soups are incredible. A must try! I wish we discovered this place sooner read more

We ordered the Parrillada en Barro meal for 2 $70. So much food! Main dish of lobster tail, shrimp, fish, octopus, crab, fried oysters served over rice. Two plates of black beans, slaw, tortillas and several sauces. It was all very good. We got there at 1:00 on Saturday. Service was good. We love the food here (esp this dish) and we will be back! read more

This is one of our go to spots when it's just my wife and I, or meeting up with friends. The food is always on point and the drinks are always full of the good stuff not watered down. The food portions are large so most of the time we get an appetizer and split an entree. The Mangonadas is my favorite drink kind of girly, but I don't care it's that good. read more

Okay service, i went sunday the food took a long time we we'll be back, the músic was good and restaurant was clean.

This place was phenomenal when it first opened. The menu had so much variety, the servings were good size and plentiful and the seafood was fresh. As of the last four to five months the service and quality has declined dramatically. My husband and I went one evening for dinner and drinks, the raw oysters we ordered were not fresh, they were skimpy and dried up. They looked like they could be a health hazard. We went back and the serving size decreased but the prices didn't. Not only that, the food wasn't as fresh. We were incredibly disappointed, for the price and the quality we will not be returning. read more

The food and service are very good with a nice atmosphere. If you are unlucky enough to choose a night when they have live music, it is extremely loud and obnoxious, so I suggest that you avoid music nights. read more

The food and drinks are good. However I was disappointed because when I walked in there was a small bulletin board describing today's special and an actual plate of what it looked like. I asked the waitress how much the special they had displaying in the front cost and she stated that plate was the lunch special and no longer available. Bummer. She said they were about to place the new dinner special but the cook didn't have it ready. So not only did she not honor the one in the front I was too early for the dinner special. Because the cook wasn't ready to display it. There where plenty of work staff seating people standing right next to the display. Any one of them could have remove the display once the special was over. False advertisement is always bad for a company. The waitress was nice, yet not very helpful. Yes I could have called the manager and blah blah blah but waiters should be able to make logical decisions on the spot. But.... overall tasty food. read more

This restaurant was terrible. The atmosphere was tacky, too many tvs, there was no differntation between the bar and actual restaurant. Menus were not clean and way too busy. The food was disgusting. Not very diverse population. Staff was slow and they provided you with cracked, old, crackers. Definitely miss leading, if you want a crappy non Mexican, mis leading, slow restaurant the this is the place for you. But if I were the owner I would shut down or a have a major rethink. Also no beef/steak and they put the menu in Spanish instead of English first, definetly a little sketchy. I WOULD NEVER COME BACK! read more

I think it's pretty good. The food is much better than its closets competitor (Mambo's seafood). The staff is much more charismatic, friendly, etc. And something very important to me... The clean environment for a seafood restaurant.! I tried this place several times and I must recommend the special fried rice. It's awesome! I wasn't too satisfied with the shrimp cocktail but its not horrible either. Just not as good as I expected. But many of the other plates they have are excellent! read more

Me and my family come here ALOT. Their food is delicious, drinks are amazing and the music/vibe of the place is sensational. However, our service today was bad. Our waitress probably visited us 2 times during our whole sitting. And 4 other times bc we waved her down. Every time we come it seems like service continues to get worse. Maybe management needs to focus on their customer service training before you start losing customers read more

Food was fine, little pricey but I guess that's just seafood. The mariachis were a little loud and obnoxious hard to have a conversation with them near by. But maybe I'll come back for happy hour- everyone's drinks looked good! read more

Wanted to dine elsewhere but it was closed so we stopped at the first open restaurant we saw. Felt spontaneous and was winging it. It was packed and there was a band. They seated us in the booths to the left but it was too close to the speakers. So we moved ourselves to the right (covered outdoor area near bar) away from the noise so we could catch up and talk. We looked through our menu and when we were ready to order we couldn't find a waitress for quite some time. When we got someone's attention she said she won't take our order because the kitchen was closing in 10-15 minutes. I explained to her the time we came in and what had happened. Woman manager came and said she'd take our order. I got the platter with a little bit of everything (seafood) on it. The plate presentation was wonderful but the ceviche was way too sour. So many lime/ lemon that I couldn't taste the rest of the stuff in it. My cup of water was leaking water everywhere. It wasn't easy to find our waitress when we needed her and she rarely checked up on us. We didn't feel welcome so we took everything to go. Im not going to try this place again. Service was not great and i hate how awkward it feels walking into this place. How everyone just stares at you like you don't belong. I guess Asians and white people don't come here much? read more

Just left Vida and was extremely disappointed with the bar staff. I told 3 separate bar tenders that we wanted another round, nope, they continued to serve others around us. All they could say was sorry.... that doesn't cut it. It's takes just as much time to make our drinks as it does to make the others. This is just wrk g on all levels. It was like we weren't even there. Fuck that, ain't going back and I'll be sure to tell others! read more

Had the seafood platter. Very tasty. The service was not as good. Had to call her to order and refill

I came here when it first opened & I could definitely tell the waitress had never been a server before but the food was really good so I gave it another try. The second time it was pretty crowded with a wait (understandable, it was a Friday). Their were four hostesses at the front, all on their phones. We sat at the bar while we waited for the table and the service was good but when we got to our table the service was horrible! We both had beers that were a quarter fool & sat their for 15 minutes before somebody finally came up. She asked if we had been helped & when we replied "no", she just looked at us & waited for us to say order something. When she finally came around to take our food order, I ordered the same entree I ordered the time before which was delicious! Our waitress questioned me multiple times if I really wanted that because it was "really spicy". We were starving by this time, and based on previous experience & the tables around us, we knew they served bread. We had to ask for it to which she responded "hmmm...i don't know...sure" in a very smart tone. It took forever to get our check & when she brought it, it was the only time she was nice. Other than that, the restaurant was spacious & nice environment. The DJ was fun & I think during the summer it would be a good place to chill on the patio IF they had better service. Bottom line: Food: Great Service: Sucks read more
