What a creative, well-run place! We took our family there and tried the popsicles (spicy mango and coconut), the ice cream burrito, ice cream, street corn and tamales. Everything was fresh, with real ingredients. The coconut popsicle, for instance, had chunks of coconut and the spicy mango popsicle was made up of cubes of mango with spice. The staff was friendly and helpful and offered samples of the many ice cream choices. My kids loved the gummy bear and bubble gum ice creams. It was clean and very well run. We will definitely be back. Next time I want to try the frozen, chocolate covered bananas as well some of the other popsicles. read more

I've been fangirling all over the place after going to Vida Dulce tonight. The Strawberry Butter ice cream is fantastic, as is the Mangonada. It's the only pelota spot in Cary, which is surprising but also welcomed. The rolled ice cream tacos are cute, but the stars are those pelotas. Our whole family loves this place! Now that it's colder out, I get the atole (champurrado) hot chocolate-type drink, but during warmer times I love the piñon ice cream! Exotic and fun! I loved coming here with my friend. We split a churro sundae and it was delicious!! It's pretty difficult to mess up ice cream but I will definitely be coming back for the variety of other desserts on the menu. I wanna start by saying the desserts are absolutely delicious. IF YOU CAN DEAL WITH WAITING OVER 20 mins (every time even if there isn't a line) & TERRIBLE/NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Out of the 6 times I've been there only once was a staff member kind. Usually the attitude of the staff is "why are you here " This place needs new management or at least someone who A acknowledges the customers or even says hello. The last time I came in no one said anything I had to basically track them down to order. They took two customers who came in after us. I was completely ignored. My kids wanted to sample flavors- that didn't happen. I was also over charged! I myself work in the hospitality/customer service industry. I understand people have bad days but it's constant. I kept giving this place chances thinking my experience would change but I always leave disappointed. This last experience was my final. MANAGEMENT SHOULD- hire older employees or at least have one person on who cares at all about the future of their establishment. read more

Service here is A+. When they first opened a couple of years ago, we decided to try them out. The owner walked us through all the choices and was super attentive. Still, to this day, same experience each time. Churro sundae is my favorite treat to split with my daughter! Coffee ice cream is just fantastic. Everyone is so nice and the times I've gone there I'm greeted by very polite workers, but there is one problem here, out of curiosity on their grand opening day I commented to one of the workers saying that they would get a good amount of tips.. I was shocked that the girl didn't know what to reply I would've assumed she said yes or something along those lines since us as customers give tips for the service we receive. I have been there plenty of times and I've asked a couple of times to see if that problem had been fixed but it hasn't ! Tips are for the workers and these girls aren't getting them! Omg I'm so happy this place opened up! My husband and I found the most authentic Mexican restaurant in Cary and now the most authentic Mexican dessert/street food place. I came from Brooklyn, NY and all of this was available on every corner, here in North Carolina its very rare. The paletas as so fresh, you get pieces of the fruits or ingredients like the cake for the cake one in almost every bite. I 1st got the churro sundae...warm churros and choice of ice cream scoops? Yes, please! I have not tried their mango creations, but I will next time I go in, I don't know if I'm brave enough to try the bag of taquis covered in hot sauce, my teeth hurt just thinking about all that acidity. Lol I can't help myself and purchase some type of Mexican candy when I get to the cashier. I'm from AZ & I've been missing my favorite Mexican treats since I've moved here to NC. My husband & I drove an hour to try this place. I love the aguas frescas! I tried the strawberry and the melon both were really good but my favorite was the strawberry. The pistachio and gansito paletas were really good. I love that this place has paleta combinations that I've never tried or seen before. The street corn in a cup was okay I'm just used to having it a different way in AZ. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because when you go in it's really confusing. They are probably assuming we've been there before and know how it works. You just go around to where the things you want are and wait for someone to help you with them. Service was a bit slow when we went because there was so many people. They could use more workers but I saw that they are hiring so they are trying to fix it. I think you should give this place a try if you're missing Mexican treats or just really love ice cream! Also, you can't beat these prices! I went in thinking that I was going to spend about $30-35 but I only spent about $18 for 2 paletas, one large agua fresca, a small agua fresca, 4 candies, chicarrones, and a street corn cup.
