I have avoided dentists for a long time, going once every two years for a cleaning. I went nearly 4 years before going to see the Dr's as Zorillas office. They did not shame me, they reassured me this was a wonderful step to taking care of myself. That I deserved to take care of myself. For the office being labeled as cosmetic, they do not push at all for whitening or straightening, or anything you didn't book for. They did my cleaning and asked if I had questions about additional services, gave me a goodie bag and booked me for a cavity fill that I paid my copay for, and after that appt they booked me 6 months out. Truly wonderful, kind, compassionate, understanding and reassuring people work here and I am actually excited for my upcoming appointments

Dr. Jess is extremely friendly and helpful, and keeps you informed of everything she is doing/thinking of doing throughout the appointment. Her assistant was also very friendly and did the impressions very professionally. The only drawbacks were the lack of a bib to catch the bits from the impressions, the lack of a water gun and bowl to rinse after the impressions right from the chair and the lack of choices to get a CT scan for the jaw images needed for implants. With no bib I ended up with pieces of impression material all over my clothes from picking it out of my mouth. To rinse I had to get up and go to a sink in the aisle where anyone could be walking by. Didn't offer any privacy for something as private as rinsing and spitting. I'm not big on spitting in public. :-) To get the CT I have to go through the company they use, which would have been fine except they don't take insurance so I have to pay cash for it and submit it to my insurance on my own. That really didn't sit well with me. However, I can still say my overall impressions were very positive and I will definitely be going back. She has me excited about what she may be able to do to set me up with something so I can finally eat again! Besides, who can resist their service dog Cole? What a sweetheart!

The entire work took years, longer than expected or was predicted, but is worth waiting for. A prosthodontist, Dr. Patel excels at her work, and her well trained assistants do some procedures. Everyone was attentive to details and my acute sensitivity to pain and discomfort, even with my OTC pain relievers. Dr. Patel discourages talk while she works and in surgery you may sit for long periods without breaks. She clearly explained all the work that was done. Her friendly assistants include Rosie, Juanita, Venita and Naimee, who welcomed me. The clinic is spotless, though not a spa. Implants are expensive and it cost me a huge amount (with almost no insurance). After all is said and done, I am happy to recommend Best Dental Spa.

My kids actually enjoyed going to the dentist, and the entire staff was fantastic. About a year ago, I was having tooth pain and called to set up an appointment, and I was pleasantly surprised to get in the same day. However, when I showed up, I found out the entire old staff and Dr. Turnwald had left, and the practice had been sold to a new doctor--without any notice. Even the text and email confirmations still had the old dentist's name, so it was pretty frustrating to show up and find an entirely new staff and doctor. While the new staff was nice and the doctor was okay, the whole experience felt off-putting since I booked the appointment thinking it was still my family's trusted dentist. I also really missed my old hygienist, who always made visits easy for my kids. Honestly, had they been more upfront about the change when I called, it might not have left such a sour taste in my mouth. But now, I drive 30 minutes out of my way to see Dr. Black, where she has her own practice, and it's worth it for the care we receive. Most of the positive Yelp reviews here are for the old practice under Dr. Turnwald, and it says a lot that the entire staff left when he did. We've since followed Dr. Black to new office, and our family is much happier for it.

The dentist NEVER examined my teeth, never reviewed my medical/dental history or ever discussed anything with me. The dentist billed for an exam, even though she did nothing. She also ordered "fillings" on my next visit- as the front deck advised me. When I asked why, when I had no cavities or any need for fillings? The front desk women said, "she has here do fillings". I called my insurance company and advised them of the fraud. I called Royal Dental for an explanation- I spoke with Monica. They did nothing but lie and tried to cover up their billing fraud. If they did this to me, clearly this is the norm for for them. They likely do it others- packing in as many patients as possible and bill insurance companies for unnecessary procedures and work never done. It had been a long time since my last cleaning and checkup, but from start to finish, the experience was great. I was warmly welcomed by Galilea and the ladies at the front desk, both when I arrived and as I was leaving. Big thanks to Tiffany and Smita for handling my overdue cleaning--they were incredibly professional and made the whole process bearable. Dental cleanings are never exactly fun, especially with my teeth sensitivity, but I never once felt uncomfortable in the chair. After the cleaning, I met with Dr. Dabah, who was attentive, easy to talk to, and took the time to go over my X-rays and address my concerns. He was both professional and personable, which made a big difference. Thank you to the entire Smile Standard team! I'll definitely be back in six months for my regular cleaning. FREE: grab some travel size floss, toothpaste, and mouth wash as you walk out..soo useful for traveling....and the doctor or hygienist (whoever you have an appointment with) will provide you with a toothbrush as well! Dental Hygienist: they are all friendly, knowledgeable and do a good job...however, there is one dental hygienist that I would prefer over the others...unfortunately I book according to my schedule so I don't always get her as my hygienist when teeth cleaning time comes.. Dentist: friendly, knowledgeable, no complaints!
