I was pleasantly surprised at my meal from Vida Cafe. I've been in the hunt for a good vegan restaurant in Fort Worth. Vida stands out far beyond the rest! We ordered for a to-go meal and when we arrived there were 4 people dining inside this restaurant. There was plenty of seating available inside, with cute pink decor. I was a little worried when I saw virtually no patrons, but quickly my worries went away when I tried my food. I ordered the chimichanga, which was very filling. The rice and beans were good as well. While in the restaurant, I decided to grab a couple of the strawberry cupcakes to share. They tasted homemade and reminded me of my childhood. This place is awesome. Came here with the Mrs. for a celebratory dinner. Why criticize the ambiance/decor, really (see other review). This place is homey and inviting. Staff was super nice. Portions were great! If you want mega portions, go to Olive Garden. This is top quality, highly satisfying, wonderful food. The mozzarella sticks were divine, meatball panini was tasty, sausage panini was terrific. My only complaint is now I have to decide to go to Belenty's or Vida!! I think I'll just keep going to both. This is a lovely place and I'm so glad it's here. Wonderful food that happens to be vegan. read more

Me Oh my.. came yesterday with a friend and had the Mozzarella sticks as an appetizer and the meatball panini as an entree.. who knew vegan could taste so good??!!?? No pictures but you could go there and take some yourself. Plenty of seating in the restaurant, however there was only another family in there so service was good. The food is delicious with a wide variety for everyone. The decor is beautiful, comfortable and pleasant. The owner and all staff were very attentive and kind, patiently answering all my questions. Terrible. Of 4 meals ordered only the Italian pot pie was edible. The " spicy ham" tastes like your eating an ash tray.

We started with house salads then split the pasta primavera followed by the carrot cake for dessert. The salads were excellent albeit a bit small. The Pasta also was excellent and would definitely recommend although a single serving is not quite enough to share if one of you is an adult male. The carrot cake was somewhat disappointing in flavor and density. The service was pleasant and attentive. The ambiance is overwhelmingly feminine with everything in pink and ubiquitous florals. The biggest issue is the prices for serving sizes. Bigger servings or lower prices will be needed or this place may not survive. Muting the decor wouldn't hurt either. The Minestrone soup is probably the best soup I've ever had, with perfectly tender farfalle pasta and packed with fresh herbs and spice. I had completely forgotten what a Monte Cristo tasted like, but I think this one was way better than any that I had tried before. I recommend a fork and knife because of the syrup and jam. It was sweet, tangy, and savory and very filling. I was immediately hooked on the Marsala Pasta and some days I wake up thinking about it. The Pasta Primavera has the same perfect farfalle pasta as the Minestrone soup, and nicely cut tender asparagus, charred broccoli, tomatoes and mushrooms, and the sauce was a perfect texture that held together without bricking up the pasta. The meat balls were good and I'll give them another try, but the other items I've tried so far really stole the show and I can't wait to try the rest of the menu. I've only picked up orders from here so far, but I like the mix of tables, booths, couches, and even floor seating, and I thought it was nice to sit on a comfy couch while waiting for my order. I could imagine hanging out there with some good company, book or laptop project for a few hours. What a gem! I don't think anyone who didn't know could tell that the food is vegan. Everything was perfect--the food, the service, the ambiance. I had my first Monte Cristo since becoming a vegetarian 30+ years ago. It was just as delicious as I remember! The eggplant appetizer was fried crispy and so yummy. The Caesar salad was super special because they make their own croutons out of the gluten free bread they bake in the restaurant, which they serve gratis to everyone as garlic toast. The chocolate cake was a lovely way to end the meal. The owner checked on us a few times and answered our questions. The decor is charming.
