I like DSW because of their selection (which is super extensive) and their proximity to me. Nice…read morethat I don't have to drive too far to check out what they have. Nice selection of quite a variety of women's shoes. Questionable whether the prices are really a bargain. But with so many shoes from which to choose, you're bound to find something that will either tickle your fancy (and your toes) or give you a good idea of what is available. Nice options for other accessories like socks, belts and purses. Look carefully, as some of these items are scattered throughout the store. My one gripe: when you check out, I feel like you're berated for your phone number and/or your email. "We need this!" That's what you're told so that you can get the best savings available. To me that is a message: yes, we're going to spam your inbox or inundate you with text messages. I decline every time, but every visit prompts the same forceful prompt to divulge your phone number or email address. A rejection once should do it. But apparently that doesn't do it for DSW. It took four different declines for the sales associate to finally let me buy the items I wanted without disclosing who I was or where to contact me. Grr.

I just love DSW! I went here looking for shoes with my wife, she only found one pair and I found…read morethree. DSW always seems to have an extremely good selection of shoes, especially for me since I take a wide width, they have plenty in wide. One thing to keep in mind is that if your selection is not in the store, they will ship the shoes to you as well. This is my go to shoe store. I must also add that the employees here were very friendly when it came to me figuring out what rewards I had on my frequent flyer account.

I purchased a pair of inserts 1.5 weeks ago for myself and a pair for my 12-year old granddaughter. Representatives spent a significant amount of time trying to find the correct fit. They were polite. The in-store sales rep seen after purchase was helpful and informative. My granddaughter's heels, ankles, and knees have hurt almost constantly for years when walking. Immediately after fitting and still after wearing them in her flip flops for a week, she states her feet and knees feel much better. I have observed she did not complain about her feet or about walking during the week following the purchase, and she appeared more willing to walk. We went back for a recheck before she flew back home. Her fitting remained the same. The representative added three different insole styles to use with the inserts in different shoe styles. She has not had them off since she got them. I have arthritis in both feet and really struggle to walk. Years ago, the podiatrist recommended inserts to elevate my arches, and I bought a pair from him. I could not wear them as they did not work in ladies' shoes and caused other pain at different pressure points, including knees. I have tried multiple insert and insole styles with no luck. There are times I can barely walk, most of the time really. In desperation and out of curiosity, I stopped by the Good Feet Kiosk in the mall. I just felt a tug. Was it a God thing? I have no idea. I do know immediately after the first Good Feet fitting, my feet felt better when walking. After a few days, however, my knees began to hurt, so I went to the store for a second consult. The representative did another fitting and changed the insert style. My feet felt even better immediately, and my knees did not hurt. Three days later I had to go to the airport with my granddaughters. After walking them from the parking garage to the departure gate and back, it occurred to me as I approached my car I had not stopped to rest and catch my breath a single time. My feet did not hurt at all. This is huge for me. Typically, I stop three or four times on the way from the car to the gate. I actually have particular stops where there are chairs. On this day, I did not even think of stopping. My feet and knees did not hurt. I even felt walking to be less stressful. I was not out of breath. Is it due to the inserts? I do not know, but you can bet I shall continue to pursue using the inserts to find out. 3.5-4.0 Rating-Why? There was no 3.5 rating, so I gave a 4.0 rating rather than 5.0 for the following reasons: 1. The cost for a single pair of hard plastic inserts is exorbitant. It feels as if the company is taking advantage of the pain and suffering of others. Desperate people in pain will do desperate things to find relief. Many people will find a way to pay whatever it takes to find relief, even if it takes their money for food and other necessities. Regardless of research and manufacture costs, the expense is huge, much like gouging seen with pharmaceutical companies. 2. The company's strict no refund policy gives the feeling of it's being a scam due to the ridiculous cost. No refund suggests the company does not stand behind the product and indicates they may not think the product actually does work. Therefore, does it take a no-refund policy to make enough money to stay in business? Though The Woodlands store has positive reviews, there are many negative reviews and scam reports on the corporate Good Feet website, most about just these issues. No product can meet the needs of every problem. The Good Feet people are not doctors and need to recognize their product does have limitations and cannot solve all problems. They need a refund policy in place to account for such limitations and may find they have fewer angry customers and fewer scam reports. 3. I felt the Kiosk salesperson was a little too insistent and had the smooth salesperson approach, and I felt pressured. However, I had pretty much decided when I stopped that I was going to try the inserts if they appeared to work. The hard sale was unnecessary and almost sent me walking. I particularly resented the pretense I was being given insoles for free to suggest I was getting "a deal" because this purchase in no way was a "deal." In addition it seems they typically include insoles with the insert purchase. I prefer honesty. I shall return with more thoughts as I progress with wearing these very expensive inserts.
