They told her it might just need to be serviced. She had not had the car 12 hours before it started hesitating and lost power while shifting. The red light came on in the dash indicating the transmission. She took it back to them and they serviced the transmission, told her to drive it over the weekend and they would touch base with her on Monday. She invited me to ride along with her over the weekend. The car is still shifting hard and jerking witnessed by both of us. They did not contact her on Monday. On Tuesday she took the car back to them. Now they are saying something about her "driving patterns" (?) May be causing the problems with what we both think is a faulty transmission. At this point I and she feels they are stalling and giving her the run around. Whats worse is we feel the probably knew the transmission was bad when they sold it to her. If they don't attempt to make her satisfied with her purchase, I would not recommend anyone buy a vehicle from them. I certainly won't nor will I use their services anymore.

The mechanic recommended an upsell for a $250.72 Air conditioning Test (which showed no leaks), $63.14 for the Cabin Filter Service, and $206.93 for the Premium Cooling System Service. My mileage was at 74490. Since I have used them in previous years, I decided to trust them. Fast forward, and I try using my AC only to find that the first three settings on my fan no longer work. Zero air comes out on setting 1, 2, and 3. It will only emit air when on the highest setting. Prior to this "service," my fan worked perfectly. I tried submitting a contact form about this, but did not receive a response. I scheduled an appointment today with them to check the fan to see if something was just not put back correctly, and low and behold there is suddenly a leak that will cost an addition $980 just for the parts! Even though I have driven my car less than 1000 miles (my current mileage is 75241) since the appointment. They didn't even look at my fan, even though that was what I brought my car in for. Edit: I had another local mechanic take a look at my car. They confirmed that there was NO leak and replaced the fan on my car for $182 total. HTek is a total joke - save your money and go somewhere else instead!

I dropped the car off today without an appointment, and the car was on a lift within 30 minutes. Jeff explained that the aftermarket exhaust was bolted on rather than welded on. almost before I had time to realize what he had said, Jeff welded my exhaust before my very eyes (I didn't stare at the weld. lol) All said and done, my issue was fixed within an hour. However, my experience is that they do great work at very reasonable prices. They are certainly not cheep but you can depend on them to stand behind what they do. Most importantly they do not foist unneeded repairs on their customers. This is a full service auto repair shop. Not just oil and filter changes. One example: I have a reasonably high end car that the turn signal lights kept burning out due to a design defect. The dealership charges hundreds of dollars to replace a $5.00 light bulb because they said the bumper had to be removed. When I took it to Express Oil, I watched them take out a bolt, loosen another then reach down and replace the bolt. What was almost a thousand dollars and a day at the dealership was a matter of minutes and $15.00 at Express Oil.
