We ordered the hotshot, gravy and biscuits and bacon cheeseburger with fries. The coleslaw is awesome, the hotshot was loaded down with gravy and mashed potatoes and beef. My bacon cheeseburger was definitely the best I had had in long time. Plenty of hot fries and my Dads breakfast was quite to his likin. Eggs, sausage gravy and biscuits and home fries. It was nice eating there with my parents, relaxing after a morning of Doctors appointments. Ps, our waitress was GREAT! She was doing it all by herself. Waitressing, checking people out refilled our drinks all without missing a beat!!

The order arrived fairly quick and was in a styrofoam container placed in a plastic bag. There is a lot of ham on this sandwich and the fries were plentiful! I really enjoyed the sandwich. The ham slices were tender and the bread was lightly buttered. I didn't see an option to add mayonnaise or I would have. I felt the sandwich was a little dry. I also barely tasted the provolone cheese. It's there but sliced really thin. The fries were good, and there were a lot of them. They weren't too oily but not exactly crispy either. I think the meal was a good value. I just wish they would have had an option to add condiments. There were some napkins with the order but no condiments. I would like to try some of their other food options and I do recommend.

Recently, I was finally able to give it a try! They have quite the selection of cheesesteaks -- more kinds than I knew existed. Cuban, Buffalo, Greek and Italian styles just to name a few. I ended up going with the namesake, STS Chicken Philly (STS for Steak Thyme Subs), which comes with mushrooms, onions, peppers, STS sauce and fries on top. I requested the fries to come on the side instead of on top of the sandwich, which worked out nicely as then I didn't have to order a side. They offer 6 inch or 12 inch subs. I went with a 12 inch, and was surprised to see when it came out that it was actually just two 6 inch sandwiches. This worked out great, because I only ended up eating half and was able to take the entire second 6 inch sandwich home for leftovers. Overall, the cheesesteak was delicious and the leftovers heated up really well. The STS sauce is kind of a mix between thousand island and chipotle mayo. Interesting, but good. The inside is rather spacious, but we noticed most people got food to-go. Service was obnoxiously good -- I say obnoxious because it was almost to the point of hovering, if that makes sense. But overall, the food was good and they have such a variety that you could try something different each time.

I did finish the tequila sunrise, although calling it a tequila sunrise was generous. It was mostly a very sweet sunrise with rumors of tequila. Margot said her coffee was good, so we were off to a promising start. Then the food arrived. Cold. Margot ordered a breakfast bowl with the beef protein, which was so overcooked and so aggressively salted that she removed it from the bowl and left it on the plate. I assume it is still preserved somewhere in the restaurant and should remain perfectly edible well into the next century. Another person in our party ordered the same dish and had exactly the same experience with the protein. I keep using the word "protein" because I'm hesitant to call it meat--or beef, as the menu does--after seeing what actually arrived at the table. Whatever journey it took from cow to breakfast bowl clearly included several additional steps that were not necessary. I had two eggs, three sausage links and three pieces of bacon. Apparently the kitchen was equally concerned about my long-term preservation because the sausage and bacon contained enough salt to qualify as cured building materials. Both meals came with one piece of their "world famous" sourdough toast. One. Calling it a piece may also be generous. It was sliced thin enough that, under proper lighting, I believe you could read a newspaper through it. Another piece would have been appreciated, particularly considering toast appears to be part of the restaurant's identity. Service was an interesting team-building exercise. One person took our order, another brought drinks, someone else brought food, and yet another person checked the table. I believe we interacted with four different employees, which made it impossible to build any rapport with an actual server. Nobody was particularly terrible. Nobody seemed particularly responsible for us either. We didn't feel rushed, which was nice. The restaurant wasn't very busy when we arrived but was absolutely packed by the time we left, with people lining up at the door. One thing we noticed on the way out: the restaurant itself looks great. Whoever designed the place clearly spent some serious time on Pinterest, and unlike the kitchen, they actually executed the assignment. At this point, Toasted may want to seriously consider a pivot. Close the kitchen, leave the furniture exactly where it is, and start designing restaurants for people who know how to cook. Because whoever is responsible for the interior clearly understands what a restaurant is supposed to look like. Now they just need someone who understands what the food is supposed to taste like. So clearly Toasted has found its audience. If you enjoy cold food, aggressively salted mystery protein, cocktails where the liquor is largely theoretical, and world-famous sourdough with the dimensions and structural characteristics of cardboard, you may have found your Sunday brunch destination. If you're preparing your body for long-term winter storage, even better. Margot and I will probably just admire the Pinterest board from a safe distance.

The smashburger consists of two smash hamburger patties topped with American cheese with cheese sauce between the patties. I added pickles on my sandwich. The burger was cooked well, in the typical smashburger style, and was very cheesy and delicious. The fries were good. The order came in a plastic container. Not quite eco-friendly but it kept the food warm and fresh. I highly recommend this establishment. My order was filled quickly and my DoorDasher delivered the order quickly. I like having different dining options and this is one place I do intend on visiting again.

I had made an order last night after long day of work (work a hour away), and the order was wrong and high priced for the portions. The fish was not a good portion like it was previous and did not even give me tartar sauce with fish. I was not aware of change of location to Famous Restaurant until I made the order and had to drive out of my way after long day at work. Management had refunded me money which was appreciated, but I would say that maybe they should just add this menu to The Famous Menu or to the Doubleday locations and close the doors and concept of this restaurant.
