I have Multiple Sclerosis so safety was a major concern. We discussed the length that I would feel comfortable walking and dancing. The material was a very delicate lace. The second dress for the same occasion but the material was a silky texture. She suggested a change for the front portion of the collar. Her input was appreciated. I had lost weight and with the suggestion she made was something I would never thought was possible. I went to pickup the dresses. I was nervous, not sure that it would fit well. I was extremely excited when I tried on the first lace dress. She adjusted the zipper that I had trouble closing. It closed without any problem. The length of the dress was perfection. She is a true professional. The second silky dress was unbelievable. The front collar was very subtle and classic, exactly my style of dressing. Irene made me and my husband very comfortable. Her business is extremely busy nevertheless Irene made me feel like a priority. Here staff is efficient and everyone is greeted immediately and helped with their specific needs. I was referred to her from the salesperson who assisted me with my purchase of my dress. E.g. I paid $8 for a hem, she charges $16 for the same brand of jeans but in a different color. Fixing the back of a blazer costs $20 and Irene charges $45. I used to bring my clothing here bc I lived nearby and suspected I was paying more. I now go to a tailor in Short Hills and paying less for the same quality of work.

Rocco is a fantastic man, and has been patient with me through the whole process when creating my custom tuxedo for my wedding. I am a very picky person, and Rocco was super patient with me when I was being nitpicky with every detail, from the type of fabric to even the width of the lapel! I went to Rocco back before COVID around January 2020. Due to COVID, my fiancée and I had to postpone our wedding from October 2020 to September 2021. From January 2020 till now, Rocco has gone above and beyond trying to find the type of fabric I was looking for in my custom tuxedo. He even purchased swatches all the way from Vienna (super expensive) just so we could go over the selections of fabric and I could choose which one was the best! It took us 7 months to finally pick the fabric, and when you look at the pictures of the final result, it's everything that I could possibly ask for. After visiting a couple shops nearby I looked up local tailors via the ol' Yelp app and Cranford Custom Tailors showed up a couple blocks away. I visited them and expected them to make me wait a while or even days to get the bag fixed. However, the staff was super friendly and kind, taking my bag and fixing it in minutes! They only charged a few bucks and I was on my way in under 10 minutes. The shop itself is not huge, but it has rooms for you to try your clothes on and there were tons of suits and clothes hanging around waiting for pick up, so clearly this business is well regarded. This makes me feel very good about coming back for my future tailoring needs.

I went there to get 4 pair of pants altered and wanted them in a week. She told me that she needed…read more2 weeks which was disappointing but I understood. When I returned in 2 weeks the pants were done but they weren't ironed so I had to return the following day. I picked up the pants the following day and the work was done well. One of the pants still had a bit of a gap which I noticed when I took them home so had to return them and she took them back and fixed them. It was my first time using her and I understand that this can happen. All in all, she does good work and she is friendly. She is less expensive than another place that I used to go to in Elizabeth. I will try to see how she does with jackets and blazers next.
