I am so sad to be writing this but I think customers need to know what happened to us…read more 20 minute wait on a Saturday night approx. 650pm. We waited and were sat in about 20-30 minutes. We are a table of four and waitress only brought two waters. Had to ask for two more. We ordered around 730pm and my husband needed one minute, she went to the table next to us and never came back to get his order. She comes back with a salad (we never ordered a salad) but said we could have it anyway. My husband ordered and we got our soups and bread very quickly. We had to ask for the kids chocolate milks since they were never brought out. But then came the wait. Our waitress came out around 8pm and told the table next to us that "she has her prime rib (pointing at me), but we are now out so you two cannot get yours, hers was the last piece (again pointing to me)" so unprofessional to call me out as if it's my fault I ordered prime rib so they cannot. Our food did not land on our table until 840pm! When questioning the waitress and manager they both said the kitchen is backed up and that it's "the holidays". The waitress was apologetic but the manager was not. Tried to offer dessert but I said no. I said we should have been notified or asked if they can get the kids food first or something some kind of communication. I asked for our food to go. We packed it up for tomorrow since we are no longer hungry after waiting. And we had to remind the waitress for the kids ice creams too. My kids were tired and not hungry anymore and then on top of it we had some rude neighbors that were making comments the whole time after I complained directed at me. The whole experience was upsetting. The manager made us feel unheard and it felt dismissive. I'm sure the food is good but we will know tomorrow when we eat it. We have always heard great things about Golden Eagle and are so sad to not want to recommend to anyone else. Please work on communicating to your customers. If we had known how backed up the kitchen was we would have prepared ourselves or left. If we knew this was typical as your manager stated is normal during the holidays then we wouldn't have eaten here. Please do better Golden Eagle! Edit: tried food and it was great. I think the main issue is service here so I am changing my stars to 3 stars instead of 1.

This visit, I ordered shrimp scampi with baked potato, salad and cup of clam chowder! Chowder was best I've had in years! Shrimps were very large, tender and the butter-garlic sauce was the perfect blend and consistency! Our service was excellent. My friend loved her baked lasagna. It was my birthday; Chocolate Lava birthday desert was so good and enough for 3 of us to enjoy! I truly enjoyed my dinner here and look forward to coming back! (The following Friday, I ordered carry-out chowder.)

Visited during the busy fall season on a gorgeous Sunday. A Sunday in the fall is a recipe for a…read morevery busy cider mill. We were pleasantly surprised that Rochester Cider Mill was not incredibly busy like others in the area. We were able to actually enjoy our cider mill experience. Plenty of parking out front. The petting farm is to the right and the giant straw pyramid is to the left. When we were there, there was a barbecue food truck. Outside had tons of pumpkins to buy. Inside has that old charm to it with the building. Rows of different apples for purchase. Along with little pumpkins and gourds. Pies and other treats. But donuts and cider are the main event. Interesting how they have different flavored cider, depending on when you visit. Their cider and donuts are very good. Nice pillowy soft doughnut that is a better size portion than other donuts in the area. The cider has a nice flavor to it and not overly sweet. Staff are amazing! Working very hard and very friendly. Picnic tables were spread throughout the property. Some picnic tables were in the shade and others were not. Didn't get attacked by too many angry wasps. The petting zoo is unique since you can enter the enclosure with the animals (just not the chickens or turkey area). But sheep and goats were roaming around with you. The straw pyramid was very fun and a bonus tunnel in the middle for your kiddo to go through. Would definitely come back when wanting a cider and donut type of Sunday.

It smells divine when you step in, apples, cinnamon and the aroma of fresh baked pies. The decor is…read morecharming Americana Country , bright and cheerful. The cider doughnuts melt in your mouth. The cider is delicious. Bought a blueberry pie--their pies are outstanding! What's not to love!

I don't always drink tea, but when I do, you bet it's only loose leaf! I wish I'd known about this…read moreplace sooner because it's not only close to home, but absolutely fabulous. I found them a few weeks ago when I did a search of stores who actually sell loose leaf tea. The reason I like loose leaf tea versus the garbage sold in the stores is because it comes out way more flavorful, stronger and seems to taste a lot better than the stuff they sell at the grocery. I am also shocked that nobody else has been here before, as I know a few tea drinker who also happen to be active yelpers. Interesting. Anyway, the place is easy to find and right off fourth street and visible from the road. There is street parking, but a parking garage is literally right there on the other side of the street if you need it. As you know, downtown Rochester can get busy at times, so easy places to park is important. Walking in, not only is this place a tea store, but it also sells spices. They also have a ton of cool accessories to choose from throughout, which was really super cool to look at. I've also been on the hunt for the individual honey sticks that seem to be hard to find. Not only do they have the honey sticks, but they came in a variety of flavors? Like flavored honey? Exciting! I just grabbed a packet of regular honey sticks which are sitting in my kitchen now. The spice area has a much larger selection of items, from different varieties of salt, but other seasonings as well. I didn't really study the selection as the place was busy but let me tell you, there's a lot! I went to the tea section and they have all sorts of teas to choose from. I wanted something more citrus/lemon/herbal since I have a sinus infection, but I also wanted to see what else they have. Great selection, pre bagged but make sure you have the steeper's at home. If not, they sell them here too. Service was great, and the staff was knowledgeable. Nobody asked me if I needed help or followed me around the store, but when I did talk to them at check out, these people really seem to be tea oriented and educated on the product. While they aren't cheap by any stretch of the imagination (more along the lines of Starbucks pricing) they are worth every penny. I will be back in the future and I wish they did a better job of advertising!
