Very polite and professional. Call Handyman Connection for a handyman, but be sure to establish the up-front cost first. BUT if you need an electrician, do not use Handyman. The certified electrician who came to our home to install two dimmer switches, left a mess on the floor under each switch and never bothered to clean it up. The electrician was here for about 20 minutes. The charge was $305.00. As far as I am concerned, that was outrageous.

I hired Handyman Connections on 11/06/24 to have a few projects completed, in order to sell my…read morehouse. From the start, I had explained that I had plans to list my house by 12/3, to which I was assured it would be completed on time. From the beginning there was a delay with the employee being out, so the project was pushed out a couple days, which I was more than understanding. There was another issue, which I got conflicting stories from the employee and the front desk. One explanation was that the employee's truck was stolen and in the shop so the work would be completed the first week of December. The other explanation given was just timing. Regardless, no one showed up until I called on 12/4. I explained that 12/9 was the scheduled photos for the house listing, which was pushed out to accommodate Handyman and the delay. Come 12/6, I show up at the house and there is still trash, tape, tools, and a haphazard paint job on the outside of the home. On 12/9 I called and spoke with them about the concerns. There was immediate response on their end and I was assured it would be completed. It is now 12/16 and the contractor still has tools and trash in the home. My issue is the lack of communication and respect for myself, my home, and my time. For a company that "prides" themselves in customer services and their work, this is not the way to show it. I paid for a service that was to be done well and on a timeline. Unfortunately I did not receive that. I also had to push out photos and listing my home due to this situation. Handyman Connections took an already difficult and hard situation and made it more stressful. I do not recommend this company and urge anyone looking to steer clear.

12 years with Sparklight in Boise - reliability and customer service have fallen off a cliff…read moreI've been a Sparklight (formerly Cable One) internet customer in Boise for about 12 years, and the service has become steadily worse while the prices keep going up. Every six months or so my connection starts randomly dropping - exactly the same pattern, year after year. The connection will work for a few months, then suddenly I can't reliably watch movies or YouTube because the stream constantly pauses, buffers, or disconnects. Most recently, over Christmas the connection became almost unusable. In the middle of the day I watched my modem/router dropping and reconnecting over and over again. I called Sparklight and they scheduled a technician visit for today between 8 a.m. and noon. They called yesterday to confirm, then again this morning to confirm, and then again around 9 a.m. telling me a tech would be there in about 30 minutes, so I took time off work and waited. No one ever showed up. No call, no text, no update. Two hours after the promised time window I called Sparklight. Their automated system kept telling me there were "zero callers in front of you" while I sat on hold for around 30 minutes. When I finally reached a human, I was told that "someone will be out later this afternoon," as if the original appointment and all the confirmations didn't matter and my missed half‑day of work was irrelevant. I pushed back and the agent said he would "call dispatch" and then left me on mute for another 15 minutes with no communication and no resolution. At that point I hung up. There was still no technician, no ETA, no apology, and no offer of a credit even though I lost work time waiting for an appointment they repeatedly confirmed and then simply ignored. This is not a one‑time glitch - this is a pattern I've seen for years: * Recurring service drops every few months that make streaming and basic internet use unreliable. * Support agents who insist "everything looks fine" until the problem magically disappears for a while, only to return again later. * A complete disregard for scheduled appointments and the customer's time, even after multiple confirmations. After 12 years, I'm actively looking at alternatives because I can't depend on Sparklight's reliability or their customer service. If you work from home, stream regularly, or just need consistent internet in Boise, I strongly recommend looking at other options before signing up with Sparklight.

I just want to thank TVE and especially Schonie Lee for going out of her way to do everything in…read moreher power to make sure my insurance would cover the cost of my new roof, which they did! I had two other roof people come to look at my house, one guy never came back and the other never got in touch with my insurance. Both of them said it looked like it was just an old roof and insurance probably would not cover it. AND THEN I MET SCHONIE from Treasure Valley Exteriors.... She spent more than an hour on my roof. She really knew her stuff, and she contacted our insurance for us!! She also made sure she was here when the insurance adjuster came here to look at our roof. Even though other people told me insurance wouldn't cover the price of my roof, when Schonie did all that work, my insurance approved a new $19,000 roof within 3 days of being contacted by her. Also what made good even better..... was that it only took ONE day for them to put the roof on! ONE DAY!!!! My neighbors were astonished because some of their roofs took 3 days to install. Plus the crew that did our roof was amazing!!! They swept and blew off the property as well as going over it with a big magnet To pick up any nails or staples they might have missed. Thank you Treasure Valley Exteriors! Schonie Lee, and the awesome crew that did our roof! Also It would be pretty nice if homeowners would offer the shade of a tree or the shade of their backyard for the people who work so hard on their roof. I noticed that these guys put towels and blankets over their windows because that's where they take a break, in their hot car! Well I had An Ice chest full of water, some cookies and offered my patio for them to sit in the shade. I was told that never happens for them? So if you have a roof done just remember those people working in the blazing heat and at the very least have some water, and offer the shade of a tree and maybe buy them some popsicles or a snack, they deserve it!!!! As far as the over all happiness I am with Treasure Valley Exteriors, I am as pleased as punch!!!!!! Thank you so much all of you for the hard work you did for me!!!

As with others, I would give a zero review if possible. We had five outside doors and three windows…read morereplaced way over a year ago. The sales lady was nice, but each new step, you had to deal with a new person and practically start the process over. It took a lot of time to get the doors and windows. The installation was horrible, it took about six months to get the doors to shut without having to slam them. The second time out, the person finally got them ok, but my front door still flies open occasionally. As soon as the windows, which came much later, were installed, two of them would not open. It has been back and forth, manufacture, install, who's fault kind of thing. They are still not fixed. The expense was not reasonable, but we thought we were paying for quality and service. Which is what we found out was exactly what we did not pay for. In hind sight, should have continued to look for someone else Edit: wow, I was wondering if they just did not like us, but after reading the other low reviews, it sounds like those customers were also treated with subpar service. TVE finally put my daughter's experience on their top line. The man who came out had called and asked her if he did the things needed would she change her review. She said she would think about. After the repairs (which did not include everything that was talked about) she simply deleted her review. She was just done with TVE. I'm really glad they can do good service, by the look of the 5 star reviews, but that was just not our experience. Many phone calls, emails, warranty calls and photos all getting lost, I think that the stress of the time line and work does not indicate a good review. Way too long for customer to have to continuously bring issues to their attention. Travis came out and fixed our front door, and did a great job. Thank you Travis. Maybe if you choose TVE for your experience, get it in writing that you will be treated like a customer with the 5 star reviews and not one like the 1-2 star reviews So I researched the payment , paid 9442.00 in January 2024 and 9445.00 in February 2024. And are done working with them in April 2026.
