My motorcycle broke down in front of San Francisco Towers. Due to the timing and the nature of the bike's issue, I was unable to move it or have it towed until the following morning. After spending about an hour trying to remedy the situation myself, I went into the main office to apologize for obstructing the sidewalk area and asked if they had any recommendations as the closest garage I could locate was far away. The receptionist (I can't remember her name, I think it was Irene) was incredibly kind and helpful. She referred me to the manager, Troy, who went above and beyond to help me get my bike somewhere safe until the following day. In the process of trying to repair the bike myself, I met several of the residents, some with a caretaker and others independently. Everyone who I came into contact with was empathetic, engaging and forgiving of the situation. They all seemed to be happy to be there and from what I could see from the main office area, the space looks beautiful. Everyone was genuine, kind, and took time out of their schedule to help me in a time of need. I can't thank them enough for their humanity and understanding. If I had a loved one who needed to live in an assisted living facility, I would certainly want them in the hands and company of people who are as endearing as the ones I met here. Thank you again!

I had a very close friend who broke her hip and was in their rehab section. my friend's daughter never liked me. everyone told me that her daughter wanted to put her in a nursing home for years, but my friend wanted to stay in her home. as I visited her, I noticed she was neglected. her refrigerator was empty, her dinning room table was filled with unopened mail. I started helping her by taking her grocery shopping, Dr appointments, lunch, beach and more. I guess her daughter didn't like it. do she told The Towers not to allow me to visit her and they did, even though she wanted me to. they made me feel like a criminal and security would not let me visit or park indefinitely. the resident had to talk to he director, he did an investigation that took a week and decided that I could visit on a restricted time and with staff present. the resident was not happy with that decision. the daughter had her take 3 different psychological exams to determine her incompetent and she passed them with flying colors. I had to get the ombudsman ofhice involved. They made sure that my friend got what she wanted and that was to not be isolated, and let her friends see her Including me.

Providence Place - Lots of smiles for the new caregivers at Providence Place!

I wanted to update my review I wrote back in May of 2024 to say that we are still so very pleased…read morewith the great care Providence Place is providing my mother. Providence is ideally suited for late-state dementia cases. Its caregivers are experienced, caring, and tuned in to the unique challenges that come with severe dementia. I especially like Providence Place's pricing model in that they don't gouge you with added costs for every little thing; their pricing is clear upfront. Fresh meals are provided daily, music and light exercise therapy are woven into the weekly routine, and opportunities given to residents to enjoy the fresh air outside. It's never easy seeing the irreversible march of this horrible disease on loved ones. But knowing my mom and the other residents at Providence are getting great care, is so comforting!

Previously, he spent 2 years at Ivy Park at Cathedral Hill. They are very different. Providence Place is a small facility that focuses on excellent care, among other important things. Ivy Park, by contrast, is corporate, and spends money on marketing and open houses. Providence Place (PP) spends money on the residents -- on excellent and loving care, tasty food, and staff who are loyal and remain with PP for years. Staff turnover at PP is very low! At Ivy Park, however, staff turnover was frequent! We never knew who would be my husband's caregiver that day. Consistency of care is important in noticing subtle, but important, changes in residents. This can affect their condition. My husband's main caregivers at PP, Pia and Saul, are outstanding - loving, respectful, caring, patient, and kind. Catherine, the manager, is on top of everything, knows each resident and is very responsive. Often, she sends photos of my husband doing something that day. Twice a week a guitarist comes and plays live music, and an activity director comes 5 times a week to do activities with the residents, such as "bowling," balloon tossing, and coloring. In addition, the residents are bathed every day! This is amazing to me, especially because my husband is wheelchair-bound, but as Catherine says, "The residents feel better this way." It is true. Also, their teeth are brushed! This was not done at Ivy Park and there they were bathed only 2-3 times a week. My husband is a vegetarian and that is no problem at PP. The food is high-quality, tasty and varied. At Ivy Park, it was so difficult for him to receive adequate nutrition; the staff there took away the main course (non-veg) and gave him only the vegetables - no protein! My husband declined. He also became very dehydrated. At PP, however, he is stable and doing well. We are so glad that he is at PP where we feel like we don't have to oversee things. We trust the staff to do their jobs. It is a big relief!

She had lived at a much larger assisted living facility for 4 years previously. The level of care and expertise at Janet's was far superior. I am very grateful for the care and comfort given to my mother by Janet and her staff. I rarely write reviews. I've been so impressed with Janet's Residential Facility that I've referred many families and even my physicians have her on file for referral. Two families I know personally have placed their parents with Janet and are very pleased with the care. Janet only cares for a handful of residents. She's a best kept secret. Only the very fortunate find her and place their loved ones. Thank you, Janet.

I could not have been happier with the the care my friends received. Janet, the owner of this small well run facility, is an RN, and I don't believe there could be anyone anywhere who could have any more knowledge about caring for the elderly than Janet. She is an expert at her job. One of the most wonderful things about having someone you love with Janet is peace of mind. You can go to work, you can go on vacation, or, just have a normal relaxing day without having all that tension, and worry associated with caring for an elderly mother or father who might have mental,[alzheimer's or dementia], or physical needs [ambulatory or non ambulatory].I learned that Professionals most often can do a better job. Both of my special friends passed away peacefully while under Janet's care. One at 92, and the other at 95. And, I must say that in my own opinion, Jane took care of them as if they were her own mothers. So, I recommend Janet's Residential Care Facility For The Elderly Thank you Janet

He stated that he wasn't paying me a dime, only working with my client directly and hung up in my face when I asked to speak to his supervisor. I would never send a loved one to a facility where the Director treats anyone with anger and hostility. In my 13 years in this business, I've only ever been spoken to with respect and courtesy. In response to David's response: Interesting that none of what you posted David was said to me on our call. Angry, hostile and indignant behavior was all I received. On this forum you take the time to say this to the community. I've been in this field for over 13 years. If I'm with another dying client, most Director's will modify the protocol which doesn't affect anyone in the parties. indignant interaction with me is not explainable after the fact and my clients do not want this for conduct for their family.
