She asks the right kind of questions and makes recommendations quickly and her office gets the ball rolling--no wait and no anxiety. If you are worried about your kid's GI issues and have been frustrated with the unavailability of elite doctors at Sutter or Stanford and LPCH, don't wait-- get your kiddos to see Dr. Jeiven and you will be happy that you did that. I do not understand why the Bay Area has so many overworked and unavailable pediatric specialty doctors who do not care about the urgency of their patients' issues. She said I had to take a medicine but wouldn't stay to answer my question about why I needed it. After the procedure, the nurse told me I couldn't use the bathroom because she only comes out for 30 seconds and if I missed her, I was out of luck. You can't make this stuff up! This is a person only about ego and money. Calling her a doctor feels wrong as that would imply an interest in her patients and a desire to improve their health, instead of causing them discomfort and stress. Buyer beware!

He will approach your case like a seasoned detective and may discover findings your previous physician or GI doc did not. This was the case for me. 2. He may get you off of harmful acid-reducing medications. There are a lot of side-effects to reflux meds, particularly PPIs, and Dr. Tsai recognizes this problem. Most doctors will just throw PPIs at you for years, never do a thorough work-up and you may even still be symptomatic! Dr. Tsai is more solution oriented. He is a surgeon of course and this is his paradigm, but sometimes surgery is the most practical solution. 3. Bedside manner. Dr. Tsai is a doctor who educates and I can't tell you how much I appreciate this. He is also a doctor who cares and takes time to explain things. His staff is great, too!

Due to severe pain and dehydration, I was admitted to John Muir ER instead this time. Dr Chin did not waste anytime and started series diagnostics tests. The complex ERCP procedure was done nicely. It not only removed bile duct stones but also prevent future issues under bile duct.
