Her bedside manner was horrible, and when one of us asked a question and she start answering it without actually understanding what was being asked and we tried to clarify it she snapped at us in a very condescending way. We are now searching for a new Doctor, one who will intelligently discuss the vaccines and all the options.

The only thing that left me a little disappointed was the front desk experience. The receptionist didn't seem very friendly or welcoming -- no smile or acknowledgment when we walked in, which feels especially important in a pediatric office. He has been a calming and positive part of our family's life since the day our son was born 4 years ago. Being first time parents, Dr Irwin always takes a moment to ask about us. How are we feeling? How are we getting along? My husband recently had dental surgery and was still recovering when my son came down the flu. While in the office, Dr Irwin noticed my husband's discomfort and took a few extra minutes to talk about what he was going through. A doctor is only as good as the support staff and this one is top notch. Every single interaction we've had with the front desk staff has been 100% positive and helpful. If Dr Irwin isn't available to see our son when he's sick (though, quite often, he is available) the other doctors we've seen in the same office are caring and thorough and put us and our son at ease. The on call nurses who are available to talk to us over the phone have always been very informed and great communicators. We even visited with an in-house lactation consultant here. The office itself is clean and bright and stocked with entertaining items for the kids. The front office is 2-sided - one side for healthy kids and one side with its own entrance for sick kids.
