I had to hire another company to grind the stump that I paid Gloriosso to do and emailed Gerry for a refund for the stump grinding, still no response.

The guy came out and was here literally less than 40 minutes (we have the entire encounter on our ring camera). When he came, he told us he could only remove a 12 inch diamter by 10 for limb that had fallen on our deck since it was on a structure and he could not do any of the other clean up. My wife questioned the cost of doing the other work and he siad 2,800 which she replied no thanks! We ended up doing all the other clean up ourselves and we're both in our 60's. When we got the invoice in the mail, they charged us 2,800! We called to see if there was a mistake and the woman on the phone siad no, that's the price you need to pay. Literally, less than 30 minutes - I've had entire trees cut down AND stump grind for less than that! We will pay this invoice, but we are going to be filing a complaint with the BBB for possible price gouging. Do not deal with this company! Like one of the previous reviews, if I could give a 0 I would.

His brother, who owns another tree company, came out and did the job. Zach was supposed to come back to grind the stumps, which I contacted him a week or 2 later about. He said he had a bunch of stumps to grind and was looking for a time to do them in one day and said it would be the beginning of the next week (assuming renting equipment). Well, he went MIA, for weeks again, and I was over it, so I hired a company that was already doing work in our neighborhood (and I wish I would've hired that company to begin with). Just too much hassle to pay someone to do something. But I am glad the trees and stumps are gone.

I figured I would take the first company who got there, and contact the other one not to come. I did not know Van Booven had arrived and was already working because they did not contact me or ring my door bell. I looked out my window and no one was there in front of my house. So when the other company called, I told them to come out. Turns out after the other company called and I told them to come out, I heard some machinery so I went outside and saw Van Booven's truck parked 2 houses north of mine - I have no idea why so far away. Then I saw a couple of men on my driveway working on downed tree limbs. The other company arrived shortly and I had to turn Van Booven away. I would have used Van Booven if they had let me know they were there. When I told them I was using the other company, the man said they would send me a bill. Honestly, if you were a house painter and a homeowner asked you to paint their house, would you paint it any color you wanted, or would you first consult with the owners? This was a similar situation. Van Booven sent me a bill for $325 just for coming out. Given the above information, I do not recommend Van Booven as I do not feel they are honest and I feel they did not care what I wanted because they did not consult with me before they began working.
