The team that came out were friendly and professional, and cleaned the site up quickly while they worked. I'm giving four stars only because the communication does not flow readily, you are not notified until the day before that the service is scheduled. I have used them in the past and needed service recently to trim and evaluate a river birch that has been losing more than its normal summer shedding. Called them on a Friday and was promised the following Monday that the technician was preparing a proposal. It's Thursday night and after two follow ups today still nothing. We had a wind storm one night and awoke to a tree in our backyard beginning to split. This tree is over 100ft tall and probably weighs thousands of pounds so every time the wind blew you could see the split getting worse. It was a bit scary because this tree is so close to our house and the way it was splitting it would land on our roof, probably bust through a couple windows on its way to destroying my neighbors fence. I called Arbor Masters and they sent out an arborist the next day. Arborists are experts in everything related to trees, unlike others who are just guys with a tall ladder and chainsaw. Rick was super knowledgeable and gave me some advice on our to strap the tree to keep it from getting worse. He agreed this was an emergency and recommended we don't stand underneath it! While they were scheduling work 3 weeks out he fast tracked our project so they came out first thing Monday morning! It really helped my peace of mind as every night any noise I heard had me worried that the tree was coming down. Arbor Masters crew were very professional and did an amazing job taking down the tree quickly and most importantly safely. These guys were very professional, friendly, and efficient! I would definitely use them again! I had some tall weeds and a tree that needed to come down. And although we had to deal with some weather delays, they finally came out and did above my expectations! They were here when they said they would be and finished the job before they said they would. My yard looks great. They took down the tree and cleaned my yard up. It looks like a new yard! We needed to have two monster elms trimmed, cut back. The trees were over our home and cables and the neighbors. Old family trees I love very much. Five men worked on our trees for several hours in the lift and climbing. We watched frequently how they worked together and communicated. I can't believe how carefully they executed difficult to reach and overly large pieces. We are so impressed. The clean up was amazing. We wanted large pieces of wood kept and they did an outstanding job of leaving the area better than they found it. Looking for a tree service? There is always the guys who drive through the neighborhood in an F-150 pick up carrying a chainsaw (low cost) or certified arborists. I have tried it both ways and have found that while F-150 guy is cheaper it can cost more in the long run. Arbor Masters uses certified arborists (people who really do know about trees), bonded and insured workmen. When trees are trimmed "properly" they are healthier and usually do not need annual trimming. I have used Arbor Masters a couple of times now and have always been impressed with respectful, prompt, and professional manner of all their folks I have been in contact with. Since I started using them (rather than the F-150 guys) I have gotten many compliments from neighbors on our trees. Like a quality haircut, rather than annual trimming I only have my trees trimmed every two or three years. I have also noted that because of their attention to details like cleaning out bulk from the trees, my lawn is more healthy. I would be careful with this company as they had a couple of employees driving a truck on the interstate on December 22, 2022, and threw an object out the window which struck my daughter and her fiancé's vehicle shattering her passenger side window chipping, her front windshield chip in the car door and breaking and cracking the side mirror. What this object was I have no idea, but obviously had to be something of substance to do this much damage. My daughter did contact her insurance company and the company is refusing to help with any of the damages so now my daughter will have to pay while her insurance company fights, their insurance company for this. Not to mention it was -40° with the wind chill and she had to drive this vehicle back to Kansas with a shattered window with tape. My husband and I own our own construction company and never would we tolerate such things to happen with knowledge! I hope that the company sees this and the employees are held responsible what they did. We just thank God that the accident wasn't much worse. With it being the blizzard like conditions, and throwing something out of your truck! As soon as the men seen what they had done early, sped up and drove as fast as they could to get out of sight, my daughter had to drive 95 miles an hour just to catch up with them and get a picture of the truck and license plate. pathetic read more

I didn't even get the chance to have a service! The poor communication started from the beginning. My neighbor with the exact same type and age of tree has an appointment, I called 3x and spoke to 4 people in a matter of 3 weeks to get a bid that was hundreds more than my neighbors. I was trying to do them a favor and get my tree services on the same day with months notice to save them a trip and possible money. Instead of apologizing about never getting back to me Lisa blamed everything on her co workers to me, not professional. I asked her to justify the cost difference and she couldn't. I contacted 3 tree removal services all on referral all in e same price range and ultimately chose Arbor Masters. I signed the contract, sent it in and never heard a word,p. I called and emailed several times, finally received communication back and was told I would be put on the schedule, which happened to be while I was away on vacation. Upon my return, I still had 2 dead trees and NO COMMUNICATION? Once again, I had to contact them who promptly stated that storm damage took priority over my service, WHAT???? I was scheduled early in the week, WELL BEFORE ANY STORM DAMAGE occurred. I was asked to be patient, as if my las I of patience was reflective of insensitivity to the poor folks with storm damage, right. How about its just POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, and sadly putting it back on the customer is actually just not very nice. read more

I hired this company to remove a tree from my front yard. Shortly after that, we had a major storm which resulted in many downed trees in my area. I understood this might delay my tree being removed so I didn't think much of it. Two weeks after the storm however I still had not heard a word from this company and really just wanted to know a general timeline of when my tree would be removed. I had to call and email multiple times to get an answer out of them. Once the tree had been removed, the crew left a orange traffic cone in my yard. I thought this was to indicate where the stump was for another crew to come and remove it, so I didn't think much of it at first. When I looked closer, they'd actually broken a manhole cover which covered the water main. No one contacted me to let me know this had happened or what they were doing about it. Again, I've called several times and gotten no answers. As of today the cone is still in my yard. The woman at their office claims they'll get on it right away, but so far, they have not. Do not hire this company!! I'm sure there are others that can remove or trim trees, and stay in reasonable contact with their customers. read more

I need to be clear that this review is not about their tree services, if they exist, but rather their inability to follow through! I contacted Arbor Masters about two dead trees in my back lawn. A very nice lady assured me of a date for which a specific man was suppose to come out for an evaluation. I felt good about my experience so I decided to wait, even though one of my trees is splitting quite badly! The date came and went, no letter, no call, no nothing!! So I gave them a few extra days, I mean perhaps they were swamped with all of the non-storms happening or something. Nothing still. Next approach was using their online tool. Again I was told my request had been forwarded and I would have someone out so inspect my problem trees...nothing again! Are you kidding me? I now do not have time to wait on these peeps to decided when they want to follow through, so if anyone has a company that actually shows and does their jobs, I'd love their contact info!!!! The work was done just a couple of days after I accepted their estimate. The crew of 2 was courteous and efficient, removing the tree in about 2 and a half hours and hauling everything out to the front of the house.
