They were suppose to have done the work yesterday but did not show up, not even a call or a text which I thought, isn't that 101, at least a call. Then they call today with an excuse why they didn't do the job yesterday and said we may be able to make it today. Folks this is exactly what I was told. I had hired this company a couple years ago to plant a couple trees and the same thing, no show, no call, I had to call them. The excuse that time was the tree was not available which I had already paid for by the way. Do what you want with this review but it's the honest truth. There are too many good companies out there to have to put up with this crap. Needless to say I'll never call this company ever again for anything.

The trees appeared -to not have been pruned or shaped for a good number of years and were quite overgrown. The crew's training and knowledge as arborists was clear - both trees looked wonderful when they were done. The crew worked safe, they were careful to not damage things in the area, they were responsive to our input and questions, and they did an excellent job of cleanup. They didn't try to sell us any additional services; we were charged what they had quoted for the job. They had done work at our last place and our experience then was also very positive. These guys just do great work.

I contacted Van Booven and another company after the recent storm. I asked both of them to call me…read morewhen they arrived. I figured I would take the first company who got there, and contact the other one not to come. I did not know Van Booven had arrived and was already working because they did not contact me or ring my door bell. I looked out my window and no one was there in front of my house. So when the other company called, I told them to come out. Turns out after the other company called and I told them to come out, I heard some machinery so I went outside and saw Van Booven's truck parked 2 houses north of mine - I have no idea why so far away. Then I saw a couple of men on my driveway working on downed tree limbs. The other company arrived shortly and I had to turn Van Booven away. I would have used Van Booven if they had let me know they were there. When I told them I was using the other company, the man said they would send me a bill. Honestly, if you were a house painter and a homeowner asked you to paint their house, would you paint it any color you wanted, or would you first consult with the owners? This was a similar situation. Van Booven sent me a bill for $325 just for coming out. Given the above information, I do not recommend Van Booven as I do not feel they are honest and I feel they did not care what I wanted because they did not consult with me before they began working.

It should come down. It's not doing good. we were like OK how much to take it down we agreed on what he said and I asked if he did shrubs and bushes and stuff on the sides front and the back of the house. He said yes, we do everything. He quoted me a price with that and the tree. We agreed took him a few days to get out back out due to he needed to go camping one weekend and then rain the following week pushed him back then he showed up, dropped the tree and left all the wood all over my backyard didn't stack it up. Didn't put it anywhere. My backyard is a total mess and he didn't do any of the shrubs so the side of the house or the trimming that I paid him for took didn't finish the job and will not come back and finish the job and won't return any of the money we paid upfront on the first tree had no trouble we so we thought no problem. We'll pay upfront on the second tree huge mistake even the young man that asked my wife. Are you sure you wanna give us the money before we're done? My wife was yeah why should I not? She came home from work to pay them and then went back to work My wife was yeah why should I not? She came home from work to pay them and then went back to work when we got home the yard was a mess. huge pieces of tree and limbs all over the backyard, not stacked up, not taken away. They cut it dropped it and left it all over the yard. And then didn't trim any of the shrubs didn't trim. Any of the bushes took that money haven't gotten any of the money that was added onto the tree price for the shrubs and bushes and they did not do the work but kept the money and won't return it or come out and finish the job. This is the first time I've had to deal with a tree falling in my yard. And a horrible experience I would not hire this company to do any work. Maybe it's our fault cause we gave him the money upfront. Once got the money, he just packed up and left. Maybe it's our fault for pain first before the job was finished. We didn't even think anything bad just trusted that they would do what they got paid to do. We were wrong. I hope no one else falls for this scam. The Carlos Tree removal.

Anything they had moved they carefully replaced. It was fascinating to watch them work and how they coordinated and worked together and even seemed to be having a pretty good time, despite the heat and workload. Highly recommended.
