She was extremely patient and friendly throughout the entire process and never made me feel incompetent or inferior because I had never owned a cat or kitten before. I really liked that Blossom did not have me fill out endless paperwork without meeting my potential adoptee and were more focused on ensuring the fit between pet and human was ideal before moving forward. Although they are located in Grass Valley, CA, they regularly bring the animals to Santa Rosa, CA to meet with interested parties. The only reason I did not end up adopting through Blossom is because a local adoption fell through and Blossom encouraged me to check the local adoption first before making the 3 hour drive to Grass Valley. I appreciated that they valued my time. If you want to adopt from a business that cares about BOTH the animals and the potential adopters, then reach out to Blossom.

His name is John. I recently reapplied because I relapsed. They called it the last minute and declined my application to reside there to get help. It's all predicated on the fact that the staff member John, told me if I didn't like it, I could leave. So I thought about it, and I said to myself if I'm going to be treated like a piece of s*** by this f****** guy, John specifically, I would leave because I didn't go there to get abused and harassed by staff. I didn't think that they would be so retaliatory. I need help now because of my relapse and at the last minute they declined to allow me to come into the facility. I guess this just speaks to the fact that we will treat you as poorly and unprofessionally as we want and if you don't like it you can just leave. Also if you express your concerns you are no longer welcome there because they don't take complaints about staff seriously. So basically management allows staff to mistreat clients and not hold their staff accountable for their unprofessional and abusive behavior

As far as our local food supply is concerned, it's not always the most nutritious option, due to the lack of fresh produce and diversity of plant-based items. Likely though, people will complain if less red meat and high-starch foods were supplied vs. the healthy alternative. Prior to the pandemic, I used to feel the items were quite diverse, and was inspired by the ingredients, like spices or bone broth, extremely flavorful and healthy items I had never prepared food with before. This forced me to think outside of the box and actually changed my attitude around food altogether. I think we can bounce back as a community and make sure everyone has better access to the best foods our community has to offer. With a highly versatile and well-supported NP with extensive access to the food source and industry we can in turn help improve and expand our food choices to reflect a more consumer-conscious and sustainable local economy.

Michael, the owner, was incredibly prompt, professional, and highly communicative from start to…read morefinish. We were dealing with a leak at our fireplace chase and cap, and unlike the other companies we contacted, Michael actually went up on our two-story roof to assess the issue firsthand. Others didn't even bother to get on the roof. He thoroughly checked our cap and flashing, confirmed what was in good shape, and clearly explained what was needed to be fixed. We also had an added complication--our solar panels run right to the edge of the fireplace. Several companies refused to even consider the job unless we removed multiple panels (and none had even gone on the roof to look). Michael said it wasn't a problem, brought out scaffolding, and handled the job safely without requiring any panel removal. Within a week, he had a new chase manufactured and professionally installed. The craftsmanship, communication, and overall service were outstanding. If you want someone who truly knows their trade, offers fair pricing, communicates every step of the way, and shows up when he says he will, Michael is your guy.
