I called the number below and the guy that answered said "24/7 Locksmith" I was quoted "a minimum of $75" for them to come out and open the simple lock. He said it depends upon how complicated the lock is and the "situation..". The guy arrived in an unmarked vehicle. When I showed him the lock he told me it would cost $149 PLUS a $29 service fee! Needless to say, I was NOT happy and the employee texted his "boss" who agreed to waive the surprise service fee and knock the price down to $120. There is NOTHING complicated about this lock. It is a simple bedroom door lock. Although he appeared to have locksmith tools he didn't even attempt to use them, he tried using an airbag to separate the door from the jamb. When that wouldn't work said he could either damage the door or drill out the lock. We paid him the service fee and sent him in his way and will figure it ourselves. The invoice he provided said the company name was 24/7 Locksmith, but no address or phone number was listed on the invoice. When I googled them and did a search for them on the Secretary of State website they were not listed as a legitimate company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Don't make he same mistake as I did. Ask for their proof of licensing and insurance.
