Every time I come in he is able to adjust whatever I'm having issues with. For the most part, one visit takes care of my problem(s) unless I'm having more severe pain. He doesn't schedule unnecessary appointments. He will only ask you to schedule a follow up if he believes it's needed. You are in and out, no long waits. Before Dr. Dodenhoff adjusts you, you get a massages that is about 30 minutes long. All the masseuse are good at what they do and they make sure to use the appropriate pressure where needed. Some of them have heating blankets that they use during the winter time to make sure their patients aren't freezing during the massage. After this relaxing massage, you are walked to another room where they either lay you down on a massage water table or they place this tens things (electric shock) to help relax your muscles. On New Year's Eve, I was trying to start the year off right by working out. I attempted to do…read moreweighted squats with what I know now as very bad form. As I was doing my 4th rep, my lower back gave out and I was in excruciating pain. I literally could not walk, sit, or stand without agonizing pain. The only thing I could do was crawl. Luckily my husband had been treated by Dr. Ryan before & raved about him so it was a no brainer for me to choose him as my chiropractor. Because the following day was New Year's Day, we weren't able to see him until the day after. I have never been to a chiropractor before and I was scared. Dr. Ryan was very warm & welcoming. So was the staff. We started out with a brief examination & then an X-ray to make sure that I was able to be adjusted that day. Even though it was painful, it had to be done. The next day we went over the results of the X-ray. He showed me the condition of my spine & it wasn't in good shape. It was due to an accumulation of past injuries, poor posture, and labor intensive jobs. He recommended that I have treatments 3 times a week for 12 weeks. The treatments differ from patient to patient & depends on what your needs are. After 1 week, I was able to walk normal, wash dishes, put on my own clothes & had minimal pain. I am almost done with my treatments now & the only thing I regret is that I didn't come here sooner. I wish I had known the importance of spinal health when I was younger.
