Just went for a Zumba class the instructor Nando asked who was new in the class (of I would say 30 women) we raised our hands he and made it his priority to make sure we were on track. Loved it! Nando's class was awesome !! We then waited for the 9:15 pm Beginners Pole Dancing class with LAUREN D and were sitting on the floor with the other women waiting. Everyone gets up as my friend and I sit confused . The instructor obviously knew everyone else and totally disregarded us. I had to scream out asking who the instructor was and she said me. Again RUDE . I don't know if that's her personality or she was threatened by how good looking we were compared to her. She then still was not making it her business to be welcoming and tell us what to do so we grabbed our stuff and walked out. As we left we hear them laughing . I originally came here with a group on deal for spin class, but continued to come here for the pilates classes with Marcos. The place itself is very clean and the front staff is very professional. No one ever gives me a hard time for cancelling a class, which is nice. It is incredibly easy to book and view their schedule via their online app. The Pilates reformer classes here are great. They are offered multiple times per day and the machines are new and clean. I come here because even though I am a beginner, Marcos takes the time to help me out a lot and make sure I am keeping up. The relaxed environment is a great reason to come as well - everyone is just here for a workout and to have an enjoyable experience. read more

Not even 5 min in to the pole class, I was completely hooked (clearly, I've been going for 2 years). What started out as a fun thing to do with my friend turned into one of my most cherished relationships with both the class and the people I've met. I've learned so much, and seeing photos of how I'v progressed from week to week is absolutely mind blowing. I look back at some moves I was terrified of that I can now do without even blinking an eye and I'm amazed at the strength I didn't know I had. Lauren is a great instructor and she really tries to answer every question. This is the most judgement free zone. The girls are like family, and we understand that we all have different moves to work on. We're all quick to help anyone out, and were all there to learn from each other. It's an incredibly addictive workout, and to this day missing a class makes me feel like something is missing. I love vibez studio. Vibez is not the biggest dance studio, but full of great instructors. I especially enjoy belly dancing on thursday and hip-hop dance on monday. There are many cool classes like cardio kick boxing and boot camp (total body condition). It's not even expensive. @.@ read more

This is my very first Zumba class ever. I felt a bit intimidated after seeing some videos on you tube. I enjoyed it completely. Even though I was out of breathe after the first ten minutes but I kept going and it felt great to fight through to the end. The instructor is amazing. Before the class she introduced zumba briefly and reassured the first timers that it was okay to not able to follow the steps right away and it takes time and we can go on our own pace. Throughout the class she was on the stage and walked/danced around the studio. Her energy was great. I took the tm Thursday 6pm class. Will definitely be back to take her class again. read more

8/27/19 I took the hip hop cardio class with my daughter and granddaughter, we had a ball. The studio is clean, the music was great, the staff/instructors are extremely professional and friendly. We left talking about how anxious we are to return. This dance studio is just as great as it was when I gave my daughter's pole dancing party there in June of 2018! read more

I have been here many times since my initial review and I have to say I am not dissapointed. The instructors are great and really encourage participation and the staff is very friendly and get to know you personally. The customers are also really friendly. Every instructor has there own style but there is a style for everyone. To the reviewer who said the staff was rude to her, don't want to negate her experience but I have to say that I have never seen that and I have been here about 30 times. I can only assume that she came when a class was just starting and it was crazy. If you are signing up for the first time you should probably come 10 or 15 minutes earlier. read more

As far as Zumba stuios go it's just about as good as they get. Not particularly friendly atmosphere from the regulars (a fair amount of older women who really love to clap) but a great range of ages and dancing levels, so no matter where you are personally you will feel right at home. I did the groupon, so I'm roughly paying about 4$ a class (hence my review is slightly biased based on the cheap price). I haven't quite decided if I will go back after my 20 class trial mostly because the majority of the teachers only use Zumba songs which I find to be boring. Give me some top 40!! Something we can sing along to, or even some classic rock. I did have one teacher who played a whole mix (sorry didn't get her name, but she announced at the beginning of the class she was 44 and has black curly hair, if that give you a clue. (She also barely looks 35) If you live in the area and enjoy Zumba, simply for Zumba, it's totally worth it. read more

My friend's rented this out for a 25th birthday celebration for a pole dancing lesson and it was very enjoyable! Everyone at the studio was very accommodating, allowing us to bring food, drinks and a cake. I'm always open to new workouts/experiences, but pole dancing had me nervous. I am glad I didn't let the nervs get the best of me because the instructor was awesome! She made us all feel comfortable, let us chose our own songs and took photos for us. She even allowed us to stop and go take a shot. The workout was from 10-1130 with some breaks. We began with a warmup, learned how to walk, pivot and overall had fun on the pole. I purchased a groupon with my wife to try Zumba. Yes, it is crowded and Yes, the instructor won't yell out specific directions but... It's Zumba! The instructor, Magic Mike, was full of energy and he clearly had passion for what he was doing. He did his best to instruct using hand gestures. If you couldn't see him because the class was jammed with other people who clearly enjoyed the seasons, you followed the nearest person who looked like she had a clue. No big deal, it's Zumba - the point is to move and have fun. I'm looking forward to my next session. Parking always sucks in that part of Francis Lewis (even the parking lot is crowded), but Vibez makes the struggle worthwhile. read more

I've been taking classes at Vibez for over a year and a half now and I'm so glad I started going there. I first attended a class at Vibez because I followed one of my favorite Zumba instructors Magic Mike from another place. Once I joined I started taking other instructors as well such as Trish and Nando. They all have different styles but are all amazing. Right now I take Zumba every day of the week except Friday. I started at Vibez about 3 years ago with a Groupon. Having been a dancer, I favor taking Zumba classes to work out [hate gyms and running, feh] My motto is that if it's fun, you'll keep doing it. Since I had been to many of the local spots, which were mostly disappointments, I was more than pleasantly surprised at the level of instruction at Vibez. Each of their instructors have something different to offer, but all, in my opinion take their role seriously. Yes, the music can be too loud - and the lights a bit low [as I read in a couple of other reviews], but that's part of the, well...VIBE. It's easy to get lost in the music and sweat...just what I need. Rueben rocks!! Rachel will challenge the hell out of you - make sure you have lots of water for her classes. Marcos keeps it Latin with a groove; love the way he pulls his pants in the direction we're going next. Nando Boogie...nothing more to say. Seva is simply a great instructor. I have been coming to Vibez for many years now and it is like a second home to me. I've met so many amazing people here and the women are mostly all supportive of one another. My favorite instructor is Magic Mike. I highly recommend you try his class on Wednesdays at 8pm or Sundays at 11am. Purchased a 10 class Groupon voucher for their spin classes. I've gone consistently 2x a week so have only taken the classes with Javier and Mike. Mike has a great deal of energy and his music selection really pumps you up. I almost feel like I'm spinning in a Latin night club. Javier's choice of music is a little more laid back and calm. He engages more with the class; tries to make you imagine you are overcoming obstacles while you're cycling up the hill. Both are great instructors but I enjoy Mike's class more because of the music. Bring lots of water and a towel as you will be DRENCHED by the end of the class. Facility is clean - students wipe down the machines after each class. Would love to come back and try a Zumba or pole class. read more

At the very last minute I decided to celebrate my birthday by having a lap dance party and Vibez Studio was the best place for it! Jay (the owner?) was very informative and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. The booking process was very easy and stress free. Upon arrival, Jay and the dance instructor were there to greet us and even assisted in the set up of my birthday decor. The clean studio with dimmed lighting and some glow in the dark effects really mad the place pop and made me and my girls felt super sexy! Arianna, the instructor was FABULOUS! Too bad there are no showers. I've been to classes that were very empty (probably less than 10 ppl) and also very crowded (+20) so I guess the class size depends on what time you go in and who the instructor is. First off the studio is super affordable which is rare in queens, New York. Carmen at the front desk is an angel who will make your day every time you walk in the door. They have a wide variety of classes with really great instructors! I particularly love any class with Rachel Sossen and Rueben Edwards. They will push you to a whole other fitness level! The yoga class with Veronica is another favorite of mine. She is so sweet and goes out of her way to make modifications if you need them. Love this place. They make you feel like your home. You can have a great workout on Sat morning with Trish and by the end of class you also laughing your heart out. You can get your shake on with Dita in socacize a new class on a Sun. I could not possibly love this place more. The owners, staff and teachers go out of their way to make personal connections and make each client feel special, looked after. The morning spin classes keep me laughing even while I sweat and strain. The variety of classes and the quality of instruction not to mention the staggered schedule that lets me workout once the kid is in school but before I have to get to work. There is nowhere else like this for fitness and those of us nearby to take advantage are lucky. Just took a Barre Body class with Rachel. It was great. First tune I went to her virtual class. She remembered me right away (even after a long time of not seeing each other). Her instructions were clear. She did not spend a lot of time talking and had us working the whole time. She's personable and friendly.
