I took my first pole fitness class today with Pasha and LOVED IT. She is AMAZING, super friendly and helpful. I can't wait to go back next week!!! My only criticism of the studio is that I wish there were more poles because a few people had to share and I know a bunch of my friends plan on attending the classes soon too. read more

This is an awesome fitness studio that I look forward to being a member of. I purchased a Groupon for 5 zumba classes to try this place out. Personally, I'm more of a strength/cardio enthusiast but Zumba here is FUN - the studio space is everything a studio should be. It has a great sound system, the class uses dim party lights, the instructor has a ton of energy and even a little elevated stage space. I've gone three times so far each time in the morning and every class has been CROWDED...I can't imagine how crowded it gets in the evening. It's a little tough especially with arm movements but everyone seems nice so a light bump into someone is no big deal. Also, the waiting room area is tiny which can be a tad uncomfortable for a newcomer like me, but the class is worth it. The location for me is convenient too but the parking lot gets full early so I've been parking on the street which is easier. I think I'm going to purchase the 20 class packet for the summer months when my schedule frees up. I hope to take the hip hop classes and some total body strength classes at Vibez! read more

I just started going here because I had enough of Lucille Roberts and dirty machines. It's so hard to stay motivated when you're watching your weight but when I come here I have so much fun I don't even notice I'm burning calories. As you see in the pictures its private so guys can't look in at you and stare. As mentioned you can get your first class free which was great because now I'm hooked. I don't look at it as going to work out, but as a great excuse to get out of the apt and let loose dancing. The instructors are very friendly and positive. I've been able to try a few different classes because I can work it around my schedule and see what times are good. I can already see a difference in my body and I've lost a few pounds easy. This is definitely a better option than any gym!!!! read more

First, I found this on groupon, $25 for 5 classes, so I figured why not give my old gym routine a break and try something new? I loved it from my very first class! The instructors are great, it's like going to a party and burning calories = fun! I have taken Zumba and the "kick butt" class and it really does kick your butt! I have taken multiple classes with different instructors and each one has been great! On average I burn 700 calories in a 1 hr class! Feels great to enjoy working out again.. Love love love Vibez!! The classes and instructors are amazing! It is also very clean. I take spin, barre and TRX. TRX is new to me and I am addicted. I have been working out for over 27 years, so I know a good gym when I have one. There is no other gym in Bayside/Whitestone like Vibez. Wow! I loved it here after my class at this studio with Pasha (Thursday 9:15pm pole class). She made me feel accomplished after teaching us spins and allowing us to practice. Update: I've now gone to vibez several times over the last 5 months, and I have enjoyed most of the classes there. It really depends on which instructor you go with. Most of them are pretty good. I've only had one that seemed like she didn't care about what she was doing. I highly recommend Jennifer! The studio itself is ok. It's fairly small, so certain classes get packed pretty quickly. Given the price, if you live nearby, it's definitely worth trying. My only real complaint about the studio itself is that they sometimes let people bring their kids and they let them sit on the dance floor. I mean, it's a fitness studio, not a babysitting service. And when the classes are crowded, having extra bodies in the room doesn't help. read more

I've been to a half a dozen Zumba studios and vibeZ is by far THE BEST!! Staff is very friendly and the energy in the classes are AMAZING. Flexible schedule and always easy to find a class. They even have an iPhone app to stay up to date with classes. The handsome muscular guy behind the desk even gave me great advice on how to eat healthy. The studio claims no liability of what happening to the customers in their class (even their equipment or infrastructure causes you injured), and asks the customers to sign the waiver to join the class. I was not willing to sign, so the staff didn't allow me to join the class and told me that I can request the Groupon to refund. I do consider the studio being irresponsible of maintaining their place safe for the customers and put the risk on the class attendees. I do understand that the customers need to keep themselves safe. However, what if you join a zumba/kickbox class, the floor cracks suddenly and causes you bleeding. Who's fault is it? read more

All the staff is amazing and the atmosphere is great, which make my work out fun and feel like a night out. Just took a pole dancing class today and it was so crowded! Each class costs 15$ which isn't much, but I would have at least thought everyone would have their own pole to practice. Some poles, 3 people had to share while others had their own poles to themselves and it just wasn't the experience I expected. Hopefully they fix this over-booking issue and keep it to one person per pole. read more

I have been going to Vibez for over a year, and I am happy to say it's like my second home. I had been going to a smaller studio which closed, and I happened upon a Groupon for Vibez. After reading the great reviews here, I gave it a try, and I've been a very happy customer ever since. This is saying a lot, since I'm in my 40s and I was very reluctant to venture out into some of these NYC gyms where people go to work out with their makeup fully done and judge you if you don't look like a model. Not only is Vibez none of those things, it's actually been a great community and support system for those of us who are trying to get into shape and/or deal with injuries. I was surprised to see a handful of negative reviews on here more recently. Of course, all I can speak to are my own experiences, but here goes: - The staff here are a wonderful combination of professional and personable. The studio itself is very well maintained. Considering how many of us are in and out of there daily, the upkeep is fantastic. Everyone at the front desk makes an effort to get to know you. I lost my Groupon class card when there were still two classes left on it, and everyone at the front desk already recognized me and made sure I received my last two classes. The instructors all make classes fun but also know their stuff and encourage all of us to get an effective but healthy/safe workout. Nando and Rueben correct us when our form is off, Sabrina reminds us to take out supplements and eat right . . . everyone does their part to encourage our well-being. Carmen, who works up front, encouraged me to try different classes with her and dissolves any fears we have about trying new things with her great sense of humor. - I really feel like there's is something for everyone at Vibez. I read one post that claimed the studio was 'greedy' because some classes are crowded. I've taken most of the classes offered and I can honestly say that some of the evening Zumba classes are packed because they're AWESOME! Mike and Nando are well-known and they classes have an amazing energy, it's like going to a party every night. Yes, the lights are low, yes, the music is loud, and no, no one is shouting instructions at us, that's Zumba and we all enjoy it, so that's why the classes are packed. The six o'clock classes with Seva and Marcos are a little less crowded but equally spectacular and offer slightly different music which gives you a great deal of variety if you're just going for Zumba. And of course, there are TRX classes, Barre Body and Pilates, Spinning etc. , so it's really impossible to get bored! - I have recently upgraded to a monthly rate that covers all classes, and I feel like I'm getting an incredible deal. I've really been enjoying Renata's yoga classes, and I'm loving the results from Rueben's Total Body Fitness class. When I tell people what I pay monthly for all of this, they are always shocked. Add to all of this that Vibez holds benefit master classes for charity just about every month, and gives to a different charity every month for each time we check in, and I think you can understand why so many of us are so happy there. May and Jay are running a wonderful establishment and I encorage anyone looking for a great, comfortable place to work out to give their studio a try. read more

Great classes & instructors - the best I ever had!! Very, very friendly & accommodating owners & staff

I've been taking classes since last week and so far I'm happy. I bought classes through groupon ($79 for 20) which is such an amazing offer. During all the 3 classes that I've been to, the place was so crowded. First I thought that maybe of the spring break, but yesterday I went again and the class was still crowded. Perhaps it's that way only during the early morning class? As I danced, I forgot about the limited space and actually had a lot of fun. Parking is also an issue. Anyone who dares to park in front of the liquor store will get a note posted on their windshield and their cars get blocked...perhaps towed. Anywhere else should be fine to park I guess. During spring break I noticed that the school had a little area assigned for children to play or do some coloring or schoolwork with other children while you are working out. This is great. What I like the most about Vibez Studio is the convenient schedule of classes and the friendly staff. read more

Vibez is a great place to zumba, spin, do pilates, trx and have a party! I am a member at Vibez and take classes 5 days a week. I have lost a lot of weight and made great friends. I had an amazing Total Body Makeover workout with instructor Gloria! Drop in class is only $10!? What..sign me up!! you cannot find that deal here in Boston. Anyways, so what makes this such a unique class? not only she will make you work your ass off (literally) Gloria is full of good energy and you will leave the class feeling motivated and inspired. I first purchased the groupon voucher for Zumba a couple of months ago and then decided to purchase the 20 class package. I like the classes, the routines are challenging enough to keep you interested, but still easy enough to follow. The instructors really vary in skill and style which is nice because you get to try out different kinds of instructors and figure out which ones you like best. I personally loved Rueben E's class - a lot of hip hop and fun music. The only thing I mildly dislike about the studio is the attitude of some of the customers and the favoritism that goes on with the instructors. You can tell that some people know others personally and they aren't really afraid to show it. I feel like instructors should get try to get to know all of their entire class - not just a select few. It's definitely crowded but I feel like the price is fair enough for that to be the case. The morning classes are definitely less packed than the ones in the late evening. I still recommend the studio especially to those who are interested in "getting to know" Zumba. read more

So, Vibez is known for it's amazing Zumba, Pilates, & Spinning classes. But did you know they also have yoga? I take Mike's Saturday 10:30 am class. It is amazing! I walk out of there feeling SO good! I am a person who doesn't stay still easily, so yoga is typically very challenging for me. Mike makes it all the more easy. It is a class for all levels, as he is so adept at providing modifications & accommodations. He changes up the format every couple of weeks so you do not get bored. I learn something new every week! Today was "restorative" yoga. We held poses for 5 - 8 minutes. Mike transformed the space with the lighting, candles, soothing music, burning incense, essential oils, & his gentle voice guidance. It is always good to come out of your comfort zone. I highly recommend this class (& any class at Vibez)! ;) read more

I love this neighborhood studio! I haven't tried everything they offer yet. I started here on a groupon deal for 3 spinning classes, and ended up purchasing an unlimited month! They offer Zumba classes, pilates, yoga, spinning, TRX, and even pole dancing. The classes start early in the day (abt 9am) and evening classes ending about 10pm. The waiting room/locker room is quite small, and fills up fast between classes. The staff and instructors are all awesome! I haven't met anyone I don't like. All the classes seem lively. They have a great on-line system where you can reserve your classes ahead of time- which I strongly advise to guarantee your spot. They are in a plaza, on the second floor, which means there is a parking lot. But that can get pretty packed so I park in the street mostly. I highly recommend Vibez! Its a great time with great people who love their job and will guarantee a great work out!! read more

Wow, great exercise experience. Bought a Groupon deal for 5 classes for $25, I've been a little lax in getting around to using them and they expire in less than a month so it was essential to join a GF when she went this week. Only problem I'd have to say is that I think word on this place is spreading like wildfire, Thursday night class was PACKED!! For as big as the room was, there were wall to wall attendees, barely enough room to stretch your arms out fully, even their recent move/expansion is barely able to keep up with the clientele. Those details aside, the classroom is lights-out except for a neon light strip in the ceiling that offers a club-like feel which makes class that much more engaging because you don't feel like you're on display for other students and it encourages dance interest. Looking forward to going again to attend more Zumba classes, would also like to attend a belly dancing class and a Bollywood class (this sounds really awesome!). I expect I will be attending many more classes, provided I can keep finding deals (Individually priced Zumba classes add up, even if you do a monthly unlimited package). The exercise value however is incredible and beats an hour on a treadmill or elliptical any day! read more

I checked out this studio after getting an online deal for Zumba classes and have since tried Piyo and spin. Everyone at the studio is extremely friendly and nonjudgmental. It was my first time trying any of these classes and I appreciated not feeling singled out as I attempted to complete each of the moves. The Zumba classes sometimes got a little too crowded with limited room to move, but the class sizes for Piyo and spin were fine. The instructors were motivating and led the class at a good pace, and showed different modifications for different fitness levels. Although there is a parking lot in the shopping center, there are limited spots and sometimes parking on the street can be a little difficult. Happy I found this studio and I look forward to going back! read more

Had a private pole dancing party at vibez studio last night and it was AMAZING! Our instructor Pasha was very friendly, skilled and helpful. My guest and I had a great time. The studio was clean and accommodating to all of my needs and best of all everything was affordable. I had about 16 guest and it was more than enough space for all of us. They allowed us to bring in food and our own decorations. If you're interested in doing something fun, entertaining and out of the norm I would suggest that you come here. I've been coming to Vibez since January 2016. This was part of my New Year's resolution and let me tell you it's been amazeballs! I first tried the Zumba classes with Nando and fell in love with the music, the moves and his style. Then I tried the other instructors Magic Mike, Trish and Rueben and I can't say who is my favorite, well I do have a favorite, but I'm not going to say it ha ha ha! A few months after I tried the spinning classes and OMG I fell in love with this place. The music, the energy the warm atmosphere is incredible. This is my second home . I've lost 31lbs so far and I feel great. The instructors and the staff (Carmen and Jay) make you feel so welcomed and so comfortable, you quickly become addicted.
