I signed up for the 1 week lyra intensive and it not only improved the integrity of my movements, strength and confidence, it also immersed me in a group of the best humans I've ever had the privilege of meeting and learning with. Kerri and Dakota are completely inspiring with the amount of care, expertise and embodied insight they share based off of decades of movement art experience. Eli, Marcel, Stu and the rest of the Casa Chango staff are incredible humans that put so much love into what they do. Also, the food is amazing!!! I'm very grateful I was able to experience this retreat with everyone involved, I miss everyone already and highly recommend it to anyone considering a retreat experience. You will not regret it!!

We had a great group sharing similar interests and supporting each other. The food was organic and delicious, and I really loved the two cute resident dogs! Kerri's teaching was top-notch: Precise, patient and methodical. We went to the beach for turtle releasing on the resting day, which was one of the highlights of the trip. I heard since then they've done a lot of renovations and improvements. I am looking forward to going back and learning more.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this airport!!!…read more Hubby & I use this airport all the time. I have never had one problem at this Airport, in fact, I have had nothing but excellent service & good times at this place! LOL This airport is not like any other I have ever traveled thru. First of all it's super small & very easy to navigate with super clean bathrooms & the best restaurant out front that makes a KILLER cheeseburger & fries!!! When I go to pick up hubby/friends/family from this airport I always go early & sit out front, have beers, shots of tequila & one of their KILLER cheeseburgers & fries!!! There is no other place in all of Port that has a better cheeseburger & fries. It's so good I even ask the lady that works there what they do to it. She told me they grind their own local beef & add herbs too it. It's freakin 2.die4! So if you have time b4 or after your flight GET THE CHEESEBURGER & FRIES! Your welcome :) If your not hungry get some super cold beers & COLD shots! Lol Most people don't know this but when you get into this airport & your waiting for your luggage, you can walk out front, get a beer & a shot & ask them to give you plastic cups for them. They will pour your beer in a big plastic cup & your shot in a little plastic cup & you can go BACK INSIDE as long as it's in a plastic cup. Woohoo! The best way to wait for your luggage :)) You can also take small flights from this airport to other places in Mexico for super cheap. NOTE: If your looking to go up to Oaxaca City & your thinking about taking the 6 hour bus ride, DON'T DO IT. It's around $60USD for the Bus & around $100USD to fly! Unless you like a death defying bus ride take the small flight. Also, most people think flying into Huatulco is better than flying into Puerto Escondido. NOPE. If you fly into Huatulco it's a HOT hour & a half cab ride into town from that airport and around $30USD. If you fly directly into Puerto Escondido it's a 5min cab ride into town. If you grab a cab from right in front of the airport the cab drivers are going to charge you like $300 pesos to get into town. If you feel like walking down to the main road (1/4 mile) you can catch a cab there for around $50-$60 pesos. Note: the green cabs are best bc it's the biggest cab company in Port. The other cabs tend to charge more & try to rip you off, especially if you don't speak Spanish. Just remember the standard cab rates in-town are $30-$40 pesos to get to just about ANYWHERE. If your ask to pay more, your getting ripped. The best thing to do if your on a budget is to just follow the little trail from the airport sidewalk all the way down to the main road, follow the NOTICEABLY worn foot path beside the road about a mile till you get to the OXXO convenience store & there you can get water, cold beers, the BEST street tacos out front & THEN flag a cab down there at the gas station next door for $35 pesos into town. Your welcome :)) The absolute best thing about this airport is that you get to walk across the tarmac (after your cold shots) to your planes like a rock star!!! LOL The staff has really gotten to know us, this last time, we had already went thru security & was about to walk across the tarmac to our plane when the one airport security dude that stands at the exit door stopped me & said abruptly "where are YOU going! Show me your papers" and totally freaked me out! I almost peed my pants! However, I quickly realized when all of them started laughing, he was kidding around with me! I started laughing too, punched him in the arm playfully & flashed him a peace sign. He yells out to us on the tarmac "when you coming back?" I turned around and yelled back "soon my friend, very soon." Best airport in the freakin world LOL Highly highly recommend.

I feel like this airport was probalby a real gem a few years back, before Puerto Escondido started…read moregaining international interest. It is small airport, with only one baggage claim carousel, a small parking lot, and only a few airlines operating. Some airlines have flights going in and out only on certain days of the week only. When we arrived, we had no issue at all. We grabbed our luggage and met our friends outside in the small parking lot moments later. When we left to fly out, a few days later, we checked our bags and got through the small security line very quickly. However when we got to the waiting area, where the gates were located, it was chaotic and only became more so. On a positive note, the airport had a small outpost for a cute, local cafe, and a really cute souvenir shop, as well as a couple of places to purchase drinks or snacks. However, had we wanted to sit down, it would have been impossible, as all of the chairs were taken, and the standing areas were filling up. Also, as soon as some of the flights were getting ready to board, the entire waiting area turned into lines, with nowhere to stand. We were with a group of five adults, pretty much standing in the entrance to the souvenir shop, with lines forming all around us. Basically by virtue of being at the airport, we were standing in a boarding line, even if we wee not boarding, as there was nowhere to go. Aside from remodeling the airport and adding on, it seems that they could stagger the flights a bit. It seemed that many of the flights were leaving around the same time, creating a huge crowd all it once. I can imagine that a few years back, it was probably a nice, leisurely airport to sip a coffee, shop for souvenirs and wait for a flight. That time has long since passed and changes are badly needed.
