Updated 12/9/2010 I used to be like, "Uber? Who is she?" No. Use Via and you'll get a luxury car for $5. Well, cue the All in the Family theme, "Those were the days". I'm writing this ticked off because I have now had two Via drivers who couldn't speak English. Fine and dandy, but find a way to communicate with passengers. Google Translate. Case 1: The driver went past my drop off. I asked him to confirm my name. He didn't speak English, just stared at me like a deer in headlights, then kept going in the wrong direction. I got out and had to walk a long way in the cold to my destination. Via refunded me. Case 2: Airport pickup. Via's app had me wait at L1. The driver's car on the app was NOT at L1 and the driver didn't pick up the phone. I got the warning that the driver would leave soon. Even the live customer service from the Help button supported the driver, claiming he was at the terminal and they'd tell him to go to L1. I called multiple times and he didn't pick up. Suddenly I got someone. It was the Via airport rep. The didn't speak English, so he had to find a Via rep at the airport and give that man his phone just to tell me that he was here...in the WRONG place. Another $5 credit and I appreciate that from via but this happens too much. Finally...the QUALITY of the rides has gone straight Sandford and Son junkyard. I used to love Via because you'd get Uber Black QUALITY SUVs for Uber Pool 'sedan' prices. Now you get whatever. Sometimes I don't want to get in the thing because I'm hopping into a hooptie as the sparkly new MTA e-bus arrives! It's a roll of the dice but lately I have been getting poor quality, sometimes smelly cars. I don't even associate Via with nice cars anymore. I still use the service but am looking to expand to alternatives. I am also not recommending this as I have in the past.

DO NOT USE VIA I have a disability and the driver refused to pick me up because of my service dog... even though I was showing him the ID. Then he didn't cancel the ride so I'd get charged a cancelation fee Have never been discriminated against DO NOT USE VIA

Hi - I am asking the same question as the person who asked 1 year ago how reliable Via will be for a ride from the upper east side of Manhattan to Newark airport. I need to be at the airport at 5:30 a.m. tomorrow; will there be cars available at 4?

How can I reach someone at Via? My credit card has been charged $100 and I have only used VIA about 7 times. My credit on VIA only shows $25. I have tried to both call and write to via without success.
