Our 2nd floor room was comfortable, quiet, and well-insulated. Breakfast is generous: yogurt, cereals, milk, juices, cold cuts/cheeses, breads, pastries, fresh & dried fruits, pastries, and coffee. The staff is multilingual and very helpful, although the reception area does close during off-peak hours. Our arriving flight was delayed by several hours and the receptionist was kind enough to write a welcoming note and provide a contact from the restaurant who showed us to our rooms after midnight.

The staff were extremely helpful, the breakfast had an extensive variety of cakes, pies, muffins, cold cuts, bread, yogurt, juices,etc. to choose from, the location couldn't be any better and downstairs was Il Chianti, a terrific restaurant, where we ate twice and made acquaintances with their staff, very nice people. Clean rooms, serviced daily, with an up to date bathroom. Valentina and the staff can arrange rides to and from the airport, either taxi or a mini van, help with tickets, tell you where to change money, get a haircut, and just about anything else you need. They are about 40 yards from Trevi fountain and the numerous shops and restaurants that surround the Piazza, about 10 minutes to the Pantheon and within easy walking distance to the Piazza Navona, the Forum, Colosseum, Spanish Steps and a short cab ride to the Vatican. Plus, my favorite restaurant, That's Amore; is just up the street. Another attraction just a short walk up the hill is the Quirinal Palace which is the President of Italy's residence where you can see the daily changing of the guards. Give this cozy B&B a try, it's well worth it. P.S. Walk, don't hurry, just walk everywhere. Rome is one of the great cities of the world, filled with history, charm and friendly people. Not only was the location great, but we felt so welcomed and accommodated by the inn owners, two beautiful girls. We booked this bed and breakfast thru tripadvisor, but had such a great stay that I wanted to share this treasure with my fellow yelpers. The building itself is over 800 years old, but the great thing I liked was that the bathroom were fully renovated. Next trip to Rome, I fully recommend a stay in this bed and breakfast...they do serve good breakfast.

We made a bad one based on reviews here, so here is my opinion about this hotel: Staying here for the second night today. Our room is on the first floor. Pretty big, for three people, but there are two of us(we chose to pay more and have bigger room) while choosing on Expedia. Smell in the room is killing me. No, killing doesn't cover it. I never had asthma and all of a sudden I started coughing and my air pathways were narrowing. No other rooms were available but one on the first floor with the same smell. So my choices were to find another place to live or to deal with it. I opened the window and slept with it wide opened. Cold, but at least I could breathe. It is either a bad mold or they kill cockroaches, or something of similar sorts. I had a choice of moving, but after 11-12 am, and we had 9am tickets to Vatican that were impossible to cancel. Also, who says that the other room will be better? Staying in the same room second night in a row. The window is wide open, so keep your fingers crossed for me. Just had an adventure in the shower :) Here is a story for you if you are interested. It takes 4-5 min to heat the water in the shower. The shower pan is high and the water stays in it and it doesn't drain properly. The adventure was to have a hot shower while standing in 3 inches of icy cold water. If I turned down the shower, it became cold again, so no choice of waiting for half an hour for the water to drain. If I kept the shower running, it starts to overflow after 15 min, so no, not possible either. You an stand on you tippy toes and have a shower while you are warming one leg at a time. Feel like a flamingo now :)

Booking this B&B is like having a private concierge along with it. We just can't thank Gianluca enough for all he has done for us. It is clear from our experience that he has been doing this for 24 years. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace overlooking Rome is always phenomenal! The location of this B&B is perfect, only a few blocks from the Vatican and a short walk across the Tiber river to the other major archaeological sites. Even better, there is a 24 hour bakery in the ground floor right underneath this place!! We just can't recommend this guest house enough!

The bathroom was tidy, there were plenty of linens, and all appliances worked well. We were provided a great foldable map along with several suggestions and highlighted walks. This was a nice touch to our intro. Every morning we had a lovely breakfast on the terrace, complete with juice coffee/tea, bread with spreads, croissants, boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, a meat plate, and a cheese plate; you won't leave hungry! There is also an elevator so you don't have to lug your luggage (or yourself) up the stairs.

The accommodations were impeccably clean and Nedaesha went out of her way anticipating our needs before we knew what they were. We appreciated the cholov yisroel breakfasts which kept us going til dinner and the plentiful shabos meals. Several kosher restaurants are nearby. The location was convenient, half a block from the bus stop which took us to Piazza Venezia (where all our touring started each day) in just 20 minutes. If we return to Rome, we would definitely stay at My Guest Roma again.

The prices for our pizzas were higher than we have found at a couple other places we have visited but not ridiculous and the pizza was no worse than elsewhere. My pizza of choice was their Diavola, a pie with slices of spicy salami. While I haven't warmed up to the sparseness of toppings and the crunchy crust, this was the same as we've had before on this trip, and I am here to appreciate Italian pizza, not complain it isn't Americanized. Service was fine, a little slow at the end, friendly, and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Unlike most restaurants on our vacation, this one encouraged tipping.

We were greeted at the door by a hostess, who promptly showed us to a table, stopping briefly to get a welcome drink (not sure what it was, but it was fruity and refreshing). The decor is on point here, and almost reminds me of something one would encounter in Miami. We were seated upstairs on the patio, and despite several tables being free under the cover, we were placed in a corner with full sun. It set about 20 minutes later, but on a day when the high had reached 97 Fahrenheit, it was a long and sweaty 20 minutes. Service was meh throughout the whole meal. Prior to arriving in Italy, a native told me that this was standard, and I had been lucky enough not to experience it. This was also the only restaurant we dined at where we were pressured for a tip. Food was good. Not the best meal I ate in the country, and would have been a knockout back home, but was just ok. Come for the view, set your other expectations appropriately, and you'll have a good evening.

The most recent…read morevisit, however, was tainted by the lack of attentive service and the presence of enough children to mistake the rooftop bar as a daycare. We were celebrating a special occasion and unfortunately could not enjoy ourselves between the inattentive staff and screaming children. They offered to move our table, but given our purchase of multiple (top shelf) bottles of champagne we expected better accommodation. I would suggest calling ahead and checking with the hostess if there are any kids mentioned in any other reservations. For the price, we were left unsatisfied.
