The cabins around Bear Lake are privately owned, but the company manages the rentals and the property. We easily found a cabin and the whole process was smooth sailing from start to finish. Cleanup was minimal and they even provide toiletries. We loved the cabin we stayed at. It had an amazing form factor and was right on the lake. Cabin came with a kayak, which we didn't use. Couldn't have had a more comfortable or enjoyable stay, save for the smoke of course. The negatives of our stay mainly have to do with the General Store and restaurant associated with the Bear Valley Lodge. Go over to that review if you want more details. All I will say here is that I highly recommend you bring in all your own food. The community also boasts a play area by the lodge for the kids, and a small gas station and store.

Please note they no longer manage rentals, that is a different company. BVRE has (three?) agents - Joel, Jeff and Eric - and handles practically every listing in Bear Valley plus the areas of Sky High Ranch and elsewhere. They commonly represent both seller and buyer. Joel is involved in the Bear Valley Business Association as well as efforts to improve Bear Valley such as a skating pavilion and a gondola directly from the village to Bear Valley ski area (which currently is reached via car or shuttle only). For clients, he sometimes helps out in a pinch such as shutting off water before freezing temps if the owner can't make it to BV in time. Joel's wife Pamela also is involved in operations and I was impressed with her efforts.

The planning process started back in April when we received a timely and very reasonable quote, and we decided to start the project in September because it worked best for both parties. He and one of his crew - Harley Davidson (really! :) - then showed up on the day he had promised us months before. They are friendly, good natured guys, and meticulously took care of everything. When finished, we were asked to check everything to make sure we were completely satisfied. But unfortunately, it doesn't appear that they take pride in their work. They just came out a couple of weeks ago to install the carpet. Our parents where there as proxy supervisors since we couldn't be there. The area is pretty straight forward with the exception of some built in bunk beds that needed carpet to extend underneath them. The installers raised them as an issue but agreed to finish the area under them by putting padding and gluing the carpet down and adhesive down. Problem is that at the end of the day, they didn't do that. Instead the installer put the padding up to the edge of the bunk beds, not even underneath, and ran the carpet under and just flopped the carpet down--no adhesive or attachment at all. He said that it wasn't serviceable. But somehow my partner and I could both crawl under the bunks... We're still working with Quality Floors & Interiors to correct the issue, so hopefully we can resolve the issue and give them a higher rating. But in the meantime, we can't recommend them in good conscious.

Tony installed the entire house by himself. It took 2 weeks, but that's how long it takes for one person to rip out all the old carpet and baseboard, prepare the subfloor, install all the new flooring and base molding, and replace the baseboards, as well as take care of clean-up and disposal. Tony was thoughtful and took the time to do things the right way. He did not cut corners. Customer service in the showroom and during the project was excellent, too! I also felt the price was reasonable and I am so glad I decided against using Lowe's. (I always seem to get lost in the shuffle with them). I LOVE our new floors!

Worked with Jeff and Team on a shared neighbor new fence and a repair jog for a storm damaged fence…read moreand gate. Though no fault of Jeff's the job changed several times and understandably frustrating. We finally finished the job, Jeff was paid and there were two outstanding items. Jeff said he would be back when the neighbor finished his side to even out the top of the posts... also the gate once again closed, but almost immediately the fence moved again and the gate will not close. I have contacted Jeff for these items and now over a month has passed and I have not gotten a response. I really need the gate to close!!!
