Another electrician told me what Dan did to my electric panel is unacceptable. Not to mention he talks way too much and fritters away time gabbing about his life and opinions. One of the jobs I hired him for was to install a smart dimmer switch and new wafer light. He told me since there is no ceiling fan I did not really need the neutral wire WRONG (smart dimmer switches must have the neutral properly connected for the switch to work correctly) so he did some kind of (not up to code) looping of it to the switch behind it. The light has never worked right and has now died 5 or 6 years after the install, should have lasted 20 years but due to his lack of knowledge of smart devices and willingness to not follow code so I had to replace the light and hired a real electrician who knows about smart devices to fix the neutral wire in the smart dimmer switch.
