This place is great if your pet was in a real emergency. They have state of the art equipment, do everything out in the open and consult you before every move (but not give you results before upselling you for the next test) If you have something wrong with your animal and it does not seem too urgent I would wait to see your own vet. Just to walk in and be seen cost $200. Then they tacked on another $345 for tests that were negative. Nothing was wrong with the puppy we brought in. They came back in and wanted to do more random testing but after they showed their process I was no longer interested. They would ask for further testing before giving you results of the last test. Then after they start the new testing give you a negative result of your old test. We were in a private room. If you want peace of mind for your pet, have unlimited amounts of money and time then come in. As for me, I' will chalk this up as a lesson learned. The place looked nice and shiny so you will be paying for aesthetics too. Hope your animal feels better.

Had to come to VEG to get my dog's sutures restitched. She scratched a (healed) incision site a little too zealously and popped the wound right back open, and although my regular vet would have fixed her back up, driving to Corona on a Friday night wasn't my idea of a good time. All that in mind, my regular vet was able to send my dog's records to VEG so that everyone knew the important details. The staff here from the doctors to the technicians and the receptionist were all very kind and helpful, which is very much appreciated when needing emergency medical attention for a furry family member. The techs did the initial check of my dog while the doctor read her records. A course of treatment was agreed upon and then we waited. I discovered that a pet ER is not much different from a people ER in that there's an inevitable wait...a long one! We came in at 5:30 and didn't come home with our girl until 10:30 :/ As you would imagine, emergency veterinary services aren't cheap. But they do give you an itemized breakdown with recommended procedures and medications for your review and approval. All in all, tho, the whole experience (minus the 5 hour wait) was good. The staff not only was friendly and helpful to us, but just as importantly, they were kind and caring to my dog. I hope I won't need emergency veterinary services for my pets again, but IF I ever do, I'd feel comfortable coming back here.

I walked in there crying with my pup & left happy, so thank you

I took my baby boy here again today. They're the one place I trust for emergencies. Dr. Fawley was so kind & gentle with my pup, she eased all my fears & concerns too. Of course no one likes going to the emergency room, but knowing my pup would be in the best hands with Dr. Fawley and the staff who helped, I don't mind the drive. I wish she could be my pups primary doctor but I know this is an ER hospital. Thank you so much for all your help! You helped my pup & me more than you know! Thank you for making it such a welcoming environment especially during such a stressful time. if you the the crème de la crème, this place is it! I walked in there a mess, but walked out feeling so thankful & blessed that i'm writing a review at 2am because I left feeling like a pocketful of sunshine, idc if that's cheesy, you guys helped me and my pup so much thank you!!!

This was my very first visit to Anaheim VEG ER. I ended up here out of sheer desperation since no other 24/7 emergency vet could see my very sick cockatiel. Little did I know that I would end up having an extremely sad but the most incredible experience. Let me start off by stating that this location is very close to the freeway in a very well lit outdoor corner mall with plenty of parking. The frontage of the this 24/7 animal emergency care is in a great safe location, very secure and has a safety process in place. As soon as you walk in you get the open concept vibe which is definitely not your typical doctor's office floor-plan. There are however, a couple private rooms for a variety of scenarios such as safety, privacy and/or isolation just to name a few. This 24/7 vet sees EVERY kind of animal that can fit through there front door! Fur, feather and reptile just to name a few. I have to give the founders absolute props for pioneering this new comforting and successful concept! All the staff I came in contact with was genuinely phenomenal: Dr Yang Bri Willie Claudia Carolina Celia Moses I can honestly say that each and every one of them were genuinely compassionate and caring. Always checking on me to make sure we were OK and offering food, drinks, or any other items of comfort. I seriously can go on and on about my positive experience despite the outcome. I am truly grateful to this team for helping an emotional experience comforting. Seriously..... thank you all SO SO much

This place was so kind. We had a dental situation for our little guy. We brought him around 10:30pm. They let us know that they didn't feel comfortable extracting the tooth that was really bothering him, causing him to gauge his face and eyes with his paws. So she offered us other help by giving him some pain medication and medication for the infection that was taking over his mouth. They were all very patient and sweet. Good seeing Briana! She was so sweet to our dog and added some humor to our stressful night. Thank you to everyone working there that night!

my ten year old lovebird shiva was cared for in her last moments of life so well by the staff here. they are exceptionally compassionate and work w/ you in regards to payment plans & the likes thereof. i walked in with my little one tucked into my hoodie. it was the hardest thing ive ever had to do; but this emergency group is one of the loveliest. i got a wonderful condolence card as well in the mail. thank you for taking care of my little one

Benny after he was done with his induce vomiting.

This was my second visit to VEG, unfortunately. But let me tell you, in the event of an emergency or if it's after hours - this is the place to go!!! The staff is so incredibly kind which is so refreshing given they have such a hard job. The hospital is open concept, so you get to stay with your pet the entire time. Which is such a relief to both owner and pet. Special shout out to Stephanie who helped us tonight. She was kind, compassionate, helpful and knowledgeable.

Bills doesn't shows how much medications they will provide. Best pay after everything.

On 09/26/25 morning my Tokkie looks off didn't eat or drink. Right away I know it was GI stasis which he had it last week he was better after I provided the emergency care and medications that my primary doctor had provided ahead of time. Then come 09/26/25 he was not feeling well after I have done the emergency care, so I am worry called his primary doctor office where is best to visit since it's urgent. They gave me a list and VEG was the best option so I came right after I got work arrived at 7:00pm I remember clearly that time there is already 3 patient ahead of me and doctors are changing shifts so they are transitioning with what happen and info. But the nurse never forgotten about me Jessica and Indi was the one do most of the work on Tokkie like normal check vitals etc. Then a Lab came in seems critical so right away they work on the Labrador and seems like since I already did most of the work at home Tokkie seems the less sick so I was left in the room. I left my spot because we didn't want to be in the way when the Labrador and his family literally in front of us doing all the critical vitals. Soon a hour goes by waiting then Dr Reid come in sees Tokkie pooped and said what she going to do next but after the Lab take the X ray before us. Then almost a hour goes by take the X ray and IV again this is all done by my dear nurses! After that you get the bill thru text and they only accept credit card. Letting you know both Tokkie and I are super tired after work so all the paperwork when I discharged I did read CAREFULLY and the one thing I ask was more medications! They game me ONLY 7ml.... My primary doctor game me at least 50ml a full small bottle. By the time I got home is almost 11pm I was LITERALLY THERE 3 HOURS. My recommendation they are nice since 24/7 you definitely get care when you need it for emergency but READ all the details before paying and there is ONLY ONE DOCTOR all the nurses are assigned with different patients. Still thank you for a peace of heart. Definitely my nurse Jessica and Indi appreciate when they keep taps with Dr Reid. **See pictures for your reference when your Rabbit on simple GI stasis and myself already did the work for the doctor ahead of time.**

The vet assistant turned down the lights as we waited. It was really sweet of her

My little Pepito was throwing up blood and saliva and my vet said I should take him to the emergency since all the veterinarians were at a meeting that day. I didn't really want to take him to the Corona Emergency hospital because of a previous bad experience. So I started searching yelp for other emergency hospitals and I stumbled across Veterinary Emergency Group in Anaheim Hills. They had great reviews, so I decided to take him there even though it would be an extra 15 minute drive. I had called them and they were so caring over the phone. I was sent the online form to be filled out before arriving. Once I got there, one of the assistants opened the door for me and was lead to one of the stations. She let me know that they have an open room concept, which was pretty cool. I was eventually put in a room, so he could be checked. She offered snacks, coffee, and water as well. Everyone seemed so friendly and supportive. I was there for many hours because Pepito didn't throw up at all at the vet. He received an x-ray and they couldn't see an obstruction, which was great (thank you Jesus), so the veterinarian suggested he get fluids and an anti-nausea shot. We went home and he's been good ever since! Loved this emergency vet and will be bringing my pets here if I'm ever in need of an emergency vet.

I hate going to the vets and typically only go for emergencies. Most vet hospitals don't have much compassion and are only out to get your money, while giving below sub par care for your pet. I'm truly blown away with this place! Every single person I encountered while there was beyond compassionate and very helpful and caring! I love the open floor concept that shows full transparency on what they're doing with your pet. It's like having your own vets visiting your home and taking care of your loved one. This hands down is the best veterinary clinic I've ever been too and sadly I've been to a bunch of different vets. They let you spend the night with your pet and you're literally sitting a couple feet away as they work in your pet. This will be my go to spot from now on! I highly recommend this vet! Thank you to Dana, Brandon, Dr.Ortiz and the rest of the crew! You are all a true blessing! Thank you for taking such good care of my Saweetie !!

    Lupita D.

We had an incredible experience with Dr. Ortiz and her team. We rushed in worried after our 6-year-old malti-tzu was stung by a bee, but they immediately jumped into action. They addressed every concern we had and made sure we fully understood every medication and procedure being performed. What really stood out was their transparency; we received a clear quote within minutes, and treatment started the moment we approved it. While waiting, my husband and I noticed the immense attention to detail and empathy they showed to every single pet that walked through the door. I felt completely comfortable and safe trusting them with our baby. Highly recommend

Wow, talk about a world win this morning. Got a call from my son that his baby girl ( my granddoggie) Bebe Bebe Coco Chanel isn't feeling well and thank God for Veg Er and our amazing cousin Roberta Jaime.. if anyone's like us and your animal typically unfortunately starts getting sick when your vet is closed or the other ER hospitals are just really uncomfortable and just it feels like a hospital really dry well you guys have to check out this new location in Anaheim Hills off of Weir Canyon. It's 24 hours a day seven days a week they aren't horribly priced or they're gonna gouge you. The staff is amazing. The doctor was so thorough you walk in you can stay with your pet or go in a private room they are so loving and caring. Definitely go there. If God forbid you need to take your animal there. 5 stars

Despite being the only client there, I was kept alone in an exam room for over three hours while he was separated from me. It is extremely hard to understand how it took that long just to run blood work, especially when no comfort care or treatment was provided. I repeatedly asked that he be given water and expressed concern that dehydration and stress would worsen his diabetes, but I was told nothing could be done without doctor authorization. The slow response, lack of urgency, and cold, rude demeanor of the veterinary technician made an already devastating situation worse. I paid nearly $800 for this visit, which did not provide relief or care, but instead added pain by contributing to Bello's suffering and taking away precious time I could have spent comforting him in his final hours. That night mattered because it became Bello's last.

She had already gone to her doctor earlier that day and was treated, and we thought she might be ok for the night at home; however, once the pain meds wore off, she was definitely not feeling well. We took her to the Fountain Valley Emergency Pet Hospital, and she was treated wonderfully. I've had previous poor experiences with other emergency rooms, but this one was different. From the moment we walked in, she had her vitals taken quickly. We then waited (not long) for her to see a doctor, and the doctor came in to give us an idea of what needed to be done. We left her there for further testing, fluids, and pain control. We were contacted, and the results were reviewed over the phone (I was sent links for radiology and labs) to go over them with the doctor. The plan of care was thoroughly explained, and she felt better the next morning. I even received updates and a photo from that evening. We picked her up and were sent home with medical records and everything she needed to continue care with her regular primary vet. Everything was also sent directly to her regular primary care vet. Everyone was pleasant and truly seemed to care about the circumstances. Dr You was great with her and very good at going over the results. Honey was treated like family. She left in the morning and was on the road to recovery along with her primary vet, whom we took her to that day. Lo and behold, the following week, Honey was outside using the backyard restroom when a coyote attacked her. Our black lab rescued her, and I am so thankful nothing worse happened. Be careful, it's Coyote season! I knew when that happened she had a laceration to her face and it would need to be repaired, it was after hours so there we went back to Fountain Valley Emergency Pet Hospital. We were seen relatively quickly; they had a busy night, and the doctor was in surgery when we arrived. Honey was stable, so we waited until she could be seen. Dr. Hoogeveen saw Honey and she was great, she came to speak to us and explain what Honey would need and the best course of treatment for her. Honey had to undergo general anesthesia, which we were extremely concerned about, given her age and the fact that she was still recovering from a very rough bout of pancreatitis. Dr. Hoogeveen walked us through it, answered all of our questions, and provided direction for her care. Honey stayed the night again, once Dr. Hoogeveen was done with the surgery she contacted us to let us know how everything went. We were able to pick up Honey in the morning, and she looked well. Honey recovered well,l and they took good care of her. Honey is now recovering at home after a very stressful two week,s and I am grateful that we had a place to go to for her care when her regular Vet was closed. As far as cleanliness, it's very clean. The staff are all wonderful. They offer different payment options, such as CareCredit and Cherry. I don't know if they offer others, but we were able to qualify for Cherry, which was a considerable relief after an expensive two weeks! Honey is now recovering at home. The only wish I have is that they would be open a bit later during the weekdays. Not every regular vet is open early for transfer. Hopefully, in the future, that can be an option. I wouldn't hesitate to take your pet here if you need emergent care. I appreciate that they treated Honey like family. Hopefully, we won't be back anytime soon, but I still recommend them if you need to!

I had called earlier to ask questions before making an appointment and they were really good about calling my back right away. Intake was quick and easy. They had paperwork I missed filling up before the appointment but it is short and completed in no time. The reception folks were super nice and chill -I had tried to go to a big name hospital vet last month and did not appreciate the attitude the front desk people gave. After intake, they weighed my dog and got us a room. We also didn't have to wait long to see the Dr. He was really calm which I liked as my dog is fearful reactive. Also, he was good about not pushing treatments for my boy that I did not feel comfortable about. I appreciate that reception also emailed an itemized copy of my receipt at end of day. The other clinic I had to call a week later to remind them to send it Service was great, I liked the people. Inside the clinic was cute and welcoming. It did smell like pee in the waiting room but it probably just happened before our appointment. I asked for training resources and and they gave me a card of a local trainer. A good amount of parking in the shared lot. All in all pleased with visit and service. Thank you Dr. Woods and epic front desk team.

My pet has a complex health history, including severe allergies and heart disease. Dr. Woods and his team are very kind and understanding. They never push unnecessary treatments. They are also very punctual. I've almost never waited more than five minutes for my appointment. I've had terrible experiences with LA vets who are dismissive, overprescribe medication, are consistently late, and are overpriced. Dr. Woods only prescribes necessary medications. He listens carefully and analyzes complex situations. His prices are very reasonable as well. I highly recommend Dr. Woods if you love your pet.

Visited Glendora Emergency initially out of concern of the low Yelp rating for Access. Glendora did the bloodwork and X-rays, and prescribed metronidazole. The first 5 days on the med suggests she's getting better. However, the symptoms returned a week later and she stopped eating for 3 days. We then visited Access. Same initial process (bloodwork, X-ray). Finding nothing, and to pursue the root cause, ultrasound is suggested as it's the next step in the process. Like many I was hesitant at first. Symptoms continued so I brought her back the next day for IV treatment and ultrasound. Early evening I contacted Access and was expecting another diagnostic recommendation. But to my suprise they identified the root cause, acute pancreatitis. I was so relieved and grateful for their efforts. I thought the metronidazole caused my pet to stop eating, but the Dr took a bigger picture approach and was able to ID the root cause. Appetite enhancer, pain med, and probiotics were prescribed. And in both visits, refunds were issued for some of the estimates which was already paid. This demonstrates some level of honesty and integrity. Within a week, the symptoms began to subside. The stool went from black to brown, watery to soft and now solid. No more vomits or pain. The experience improved my perspective and opinion on vets. Yes, you may find out what the issue is through googling, but they still have a process to follow to identify and confirm the issue. In the end, it's all worth it.

The doctor was very compassionate in giving us choices but very carefully and lovingly said it was a hard decision but most likely time. When she kept having them, I instinctively knew it was going to be time to help her cross the rainbow bridge. As many rescues that we've had and have helped to cross the bridge, I can honestly say it never gets easier. It never hurts less to make that decision, but it helps when the staff is so compassionate. I love you Bon Bon, and I'm going to miss you. Thank you to everyone at Access Pasadena for your compassion during this difficult time.

From the moment my pet was admitted, I felt she was in good hands. The staff was amazing, and Chelsea, who took care of her, was particularly sweet and caring. The next morning, we met with Dr. Shoup, a neurologist, who provided excellent care for my pet. She started her treatment early in the morning and worked tirelessly until 1 AM, maintaining her energy and showing real compassion for my pet. I understand some of the concerns regarding costs, but the level of care I received for my baby was absolutely worth it. The follow-up care has been more affordable, and I appreciate that they continue to answer my calls and provide support. Overall, I feel fortunate to have found BrightCare Animal Hospital and would give five stars to Dr. Shoup for her dedication and expertise.
