Dr. Cruz and the rest of the staff has been incredibly helpful and responsive, and I'm genuinely grateful I'm able to reach out to him for my dogs' problems over the past couple years. My 11-year-old labrador had been seen at an emergency vet for vomiting and dry heaving, where X-rays showed suspected foreign material in his duodenum that might have required surgery. Even though my dog wasn't an established patient with Dr. Cruz, he still took the time to respond to me and even let me know he could perform the surgery if it became necessary. He gave me clear instructions on what to watch for and how to manage my dog at home in the meantime. Thankfully, my dog ended up passing the foreign material on his own and is doing much better now. I really appreciated how approachable and reassuring Dr. Cruz was during a very stressful situation. It meant a lot to me, and I would absolutely recommend him. read more

Edited to add: received more harassment at my personal address after receiving harassment on my phone from Dr Cruz. Personal information was shared for my animal, not for the purpose of harassing me after I had left as a client. Spoke to the California State BAR to see if any of this is legal, it is not. Reports for harassment have now been put into Fullerton PD, the California State BAR who makes sure people's follow the laws also recommended going to court the retaliation, withholding of care, intentional infliction of distress, essentially endless power plays. This has gone from "they broke the law & overall give bad care" to " I am fearing for my physical safety." Also all of this was after a cease and assist was issued officially for my safety. Because Dr Cruz has stated many times that he feels following the law is a matter of camaraderie not obligation, he completely ignored that cease and desist. Luckily Fullerton PD is really great about situations that mirror domestic violence, even in professional settings. They have been amazing through all of this! If anyone from Fullerton PD reads this, thank you so much for your help with this ongoing harassment, retaliation, overall feeling above the law. read more

This review is long overdue. January 2025, I came across an extremely sick cat that had mange, ringworm, stomatitis, a respitory infection, and a slew of other issues. It was Martin Luther King Day so I called several vets and luckily Jet's Pets was open. Working closely with Dr. Cruz we helped heal this sick cat from the brink of death to being adopted into a happy loving home. His stomatitis couldn't be treated with just steroids and Dr. Cruz was open to exploring other options that I researched as the other option was putting him to sleep. Thankfully it's been over a year later and he's been in remission for his stomatitis and looks like a completely different cat. Dr. Cruz was very honest and kind. He is not the type of vet who will upcharge you or recommend anything you don't need. He is as authentic as they come. I highly recommend going to him as he does honest hard work to serve our pets. I included some before and afters of the stray cat he helped save. He also performed a partial mouth extraction on the stray cat as he had some really gnarly teeth. read more

Our 13 month old pup was not eating and was losing weight. An Xray showed Josies had swallowed a rock. Our vet referred us to Dr. Cruz who performed surgery on Josie after hours on Friday. Dr. Cruz is an excellent doctor who cared about Josie and us as dog parents. I sent a text to Dr. Cruz with a question on a Sunday and he responded immediately! read more

Had high hopes for this spot, being POC owned and operated. Felt rushed and like they just wanted to clear the room for the next furry customer/patient. Spent 600 on services and was told my boy was ok, no reason he's losing so much weight in the last couple years. No dietary recommendations to help him out a little weight back on, nada. Sox hundred down and still feeling the same about my cat, worried. read more

My family and I faced a difficult roadblock with our dog, Bronson, earlier this month when we learned that our 6 yr bully had an intestinal blockage. For a moment, we felt hopeless-until we found Dr. Cruz. We truly cannot thank him enough for taking Bronson's case and giving him the care he needed. Thanks to his expertise, the squeaker toy causing the blockage was successfully removed from Bronson's intestine. We're happy to share that Bronson has made an amazing recovery and is back to his usual self. We are incredibly grateful to Dr. Cruz and the entire team at Jet Hospital for their compassion, skill, and care during such a stressful time. Thank you for giving our boy a second chance. read more

Best experience I've had with a Vet in far too long to remember. My 7 month old, crazy kitty (Wiley) consumed a string, as well as a mountain of hair(most likely mine), which became lodged in her small intestine. That blockage prevented her from being able to keep both fluids,as well as food down. The Vet took her in that day,& within an hour I had him updating me via text that he was just beginning surgery. Words can't even express how happy I am with this Vet, as well as everyone who worked with him in his clinic, as I had been given the runaround by nearly dozen other Vet clinics (in Long Beach) for multiple days. All other Vet's only cared about money,& they made it abundantly clear that they could have cared less about anything else. THIS Vet definitely cares, and he was willing to work with me, as well as the payment assistance I was able to attain. Jet's works with both Care Credit, as well as Actors & Others for Animals (a non-profit who help those "in need", in order to assist in both spaying/neutering, as well as provide assistance with the costs of Emergency surgeries). Last Thursday, before finding this Vet Clinic, I was looking into the cost of possibly having to put Wiley down, because she was slowly suffering. I couldn't afford the 5-7K estim that other clinic's had given me as a ballpark figure. . I was in an absolutely heartbreaking situation, because i couldn't afford the cost of surgery, but there was no other alternative, because Wiley was slowly suffering from both starvation as well as dehydration. Long story short; Wiley is now home with me, sitting under my arm with her silly cone on her head, and she's as happy as can be. I live almost an hour drive (each way) from this Vet, but after all they have done for my crazy little cat, I will never go anywhere else. This clinic literally saved my cats life!. Thank you Jet's Pet Hospital! You have a client in me (and Wiley) as long as I live in the LA area,& as long as I have a pet by my side!!! read more

Excellent experience. The vet was incredibly caring and took me in right away for a last-minute emergency after my cat vomited blood. He calmly guided me through everything and made sure I understood the situation. Before I left, he even gave me his personal phone number in case my cat vomited blood again, which truly showed how much he cares. I usually go to another clinic in Newport, but I'll definitely be returning here for both of my cats. Very grateful for the care and service. read more

I am so thankful I found Jet's Pet Hospital to perform my dog's surgery. My senior giant breed dog needed a mass removed from her face and our regular vet's estimate was way beyond what I could afford. Dr. Cruz had me send photos of the growth and was able to provide me with a very reasonable quote. He was able to schedule surgery a few days later with a preliminary exam. Everything was as expected with the exam, so we moved forward with the same price quoted! They did not try to upsell or recommend any unnecessary tests or treatments. Beyond the financial aspect, the more important point is how smoothly everything was handled and how well we were treated! Everyone there was very professional and friendly. We traveled an hour to the office, and they were very considerate of my time. They got her in right away and the staff gave several updates about when she would be done. Before the procedure, Dr. Cruz took time to explain everything and answered all my questions. He even helped me get my dog into my car because she was a bit weak after surgery. He also offered to contact him if there were any questions or concerns following surgery, even outside normal business hours. In fact, he texted to check in on her the next day. This was an extremely positive experience, and I strongly recommend this vet. My only regret is that we don't live closer!!! read more

After moving to North OC, it's been challenging to find a trustworthy vet. Dr. Cruz was absolutely amazing from start to finish! My cat needed urgent surgery on very short notice, and he was just a quick text away. First time ever that I took my dog to Jet's Pet Hospital in Fullerton for a check-up and had such a positive experience from start to finish! The entire staff -- from the front desk to the technicians and doctors -- were incredibly friendly, patient, and gentle with my pup. They took the time to answer all my questions and made sure my dog was comfortable the whole time, which I really appreciated. The vet was super thorough, explaining everything clearly without rushing through the appointment. There was also an employee who helped break down the cost of everything after and explained what each item was, as to not get anything confused or lost in translation later for the payment process. I found it super helpful that they did that! The clinic itself was also clean, organized, and had a calm vibe that helped ease both my (and my dog's!) nerves. I left feeling confident that my dog was in good hands and I'd definitely consider coming back for future visits. We used to have a vet close to us that we loved. He got us through a couple of our dogs. He eventually retired but we still went to that clinic out of habit. We didn't like the direction the clinic went. Our little girl, Juniper was having issues and we decided to bring her to Jet's. Just walking and the feel of the clinic reminded me of how we felt with our old vet. The staff and the vet were awesome, straight forward, and I felt they genuinely cared. Juniper needed surgery to remove a stone from her bladder. The vet conferred with us himself and gave us the cost. What a breath of fresh air. Taking care of our pets is stressful enough. My little dog Brooke was suffering from a severely abscessed tooth, and the cost of surgery at most places was more than I could afford. I reached out to a vet referral service, and they connected me with Jet's Pet Hospital in Fullerton. I spoke with Dr. Cruz, shared my story, and he kindly asked me, "What can you afford?" That question alone gave me so much hope. He told me, "I can help you and Brookie," -- and he absolutely did. Dr. Cruz not only removed the abscessed tooth, but also several other bad teeth, plus a mass I didn't even know Brooke had. He was incredibly thorough, professional, and -- most importantly -- compassionate. He treated my dog with so much care and treated me with kindness and understanding. 2 years ago, I met Dr.Cruz when he performed a surgery on my dog Maddux. He was the only vet who explained what was going on with him and his kidney stones that were stuck in his urethra. Dr.Cruz was able to take my dog in the same day I reached out for support to complete the surgery. He even cleaned his teeth while he was under anesthesia. I don't know what I would've done without his support during that health scare. Most recently, (5/1/25) I reached out to him to help me with a rash my dog had that was not going away and only getting worse. I made an appointment at his new clinic. He took a look at it and recommended a steroid shot, 2 kinds of medications, and a special shampoo. Prior to the visit, my dog wouldn't even allow me to touch his tummy. 3 weeks out and my dog's stomach is so much better. He's back to his normal self. During the 3week check up I asked about flea and tick medication because summer is coming up. Dr.Cruz recommended I also add the heart worm medication. So they tested Maddux, and within less than 10 minutes we had the results and were given his flea/ tick and heart worm medication. So thankful for everyone at the office, Dr.Cruz and his staff are great! I've recommended Dr.Cruz to many of my friends. Happy to see him on this new business journey of having this pet hospital. read more

Dr. Cruz has been a god send for us. Our dog quickly develop a mass on her abdomen and in the span of 4 weeks it started to ulcerate and perforate. My shared ownership with this dog made it difficult to agree on treatment options due to costs and possible surgery complications. We were looking at $7,000+ for mass removal at other vet hospitals, but here they just charged us $2,000. Dr. Cruz was able to give itemized estimates and was extremely responsive to our messages. He was not condescending at all and very understanding of our situation. He gave his opinion on removing the mass and within less than a week he was able to remove it. He's true to his words and I trust him completely with our dog. Dr. Cruz kept us updated on how the surgery and followed-up with us several times post-surgery so we could ask questions. We were considering options of blood transfusion due to a potential complication our dog had, and he was very accommodating and let us know what to expect in costs and preparation. Luckily we actually didn't need the transfusion and our dog healed up quickly from the surgery! If you're having a difficult time in deciding to treat your pet due to costs, this is the right place to be. The costs here are very reasonable and the staff are considerate and caring. It's one of the rare places where kindness does not equate to pricing. Their kindness exceeds expectations and provided safety and reassurance during a difficult time. read more

Stay away with a 10 foot pole if you can! Dr Cruz should not be a vet, he borders on animal abuse during his exams. They only have footage of their lobby and not their exam rooms so they don't capture it on footage. Dr Cruz yanked my cat by its tail and then by its mid section to pull it out from under neath the table and dragged her face against the floor. I have never seen a "vet" act like this. I'm not sure if it's because he's a primary dog vet but do not take your animals here if they mean anything to you. I had to end the exam short and he got incredibly defensive and started talking about how he's better than other vets. I also heard them coaxing people in the lobby to leave a good review for a discount which explains their reviews on help. Thank you, Dr. Cruz, and the entire staff, for taking such good care of Ozzy. I cannot express how truly grateful I am to Dr. Cruz. When I learned that Ozzy urgently needed a blood transfusion due to anemia, I was devastated. I reached out to several clinics and ERs, but many were asking for $2,000 to $4,000 just for the transfusion, not including exam fees, additional charges, and up to $1,000 for an overnight stay. I contacted numerous organizations, but none of them responded. Then, one evening, I received a text from Dr. Cruz. He had heard about Ozzy's situation, offered helpful advice, and quoted me a reasonable price. He also suggested we find a donor, as ordering blood from a blood bank would cost approximately $1,500! Dr. Cruz went above and beyond by helping me find a donor. He reached out to a rescue organization, which assisted us in finding a suitable donor. Within two days, we were able to complete the transfusion. Although the blood transfusion is only a temporary solution, we are still working to determine the underlying cause of Ozzy's anemia, and Dr. Cruz is committed to helping us get to the bottom of it.
