There is free parking along the trail and additional parking in a public lot across the street, but on a Saturday morning you will find both fill up. On a weekday, it's pretty easy to snag a spot and enjoy the park without crowds. This summer, a part of the park is currently under construction, where the new amphitheater is being built. But there is still a lot of the park open and much to do and explore! My family has enjoyed both picnics and takeout on the ample picnic table seating. Recently, my toddler has been loving the playground which features swings and two separate playground features catered to both younger and older kids. There were some porch- style swings just added, overlooking the river, which are lovely to swing on for adults and kids alike! Perhaps the best part of this park is the river access. There is a nice path with wide paving stones right to the river, which is clean and features a gravel beach and a large swath of shallow water. The water is shallow for quite a few feet so it is safe for little kids to wade in. Hang around and you might see a crawfish or blue heron, or find a fossil! There are also bathrooms, which have always been open and clean in my experience. There is so much to do and explore in the Loveland area, specifically along the little Miami scenic trail, and you don't want to miss this park!

A lot of cool restaurants and shops are here. Many cater to bicyclists. They offer discounts on food and stuff. It's the centerpiece of downtown Loveland. The bathrooms are pretty clean, and there's plenty of areas for pets. A lot of convenient things if you're on a bike. If you're in a car it's harder. There's parking lots but these get filled up especially on weekends.

For the kiddos, there are multiple playgrounds, a basketball card, baseball fields, and shelters you can rent for parties. The best part of this park though is the creek. We have fun in the creek when it's warm. My kids love catching crawdads when it's warm out. I loved it as a kid too. I still have fun, especially watching them and how happy they are. Pictures will always be great memories. The only bad thing about this park, is that they took out the dog park! The dog park was so nice. There was a section for small dogs, and a section for large dogs. My dog had fun and so did I. I loved getting to play with everyone else's dogs. It was also great that it was so close to the Kenton county animal shelter. I hope they bring it back someday.

I photographer was also crouched down in the water. He taking pictures of the geese with their goslings. There were quite a few birds at this park. We also saw finches, and black birds with bright orange wings. The trails are paved. There is a layer of fine sand that covers much of the trail on the side across from parking. The trail is pretty level on the parking side. There is a playground, but we did not venture over to it. There once was a dog park here. A sign indicates that the park was closed "due to reoccuring damage." The sign also states that they are looking for an alternate location for the Paw Park. Rigt now thw area is a giant field. Dogs must be on a leash at this park. Many people were there with their dogs, including us. When passing eachother, people were using good doggie etiquette. People were picking up after their dogs as well. I took away a star due to the amount of trash. There were a couple of used diapers, cups, many cigarette butts and feminine hygiene products. These were more on the parking side, and many were near the water. Across the river was much cleaner.

Hopewell Meadows Park is a 14-acre park in Symmes Township, although it is very close to the…read moreMontgomery and Indian Hill areas. Hopewell Meadows was dedicated in 2001, although plans for the park had been in the works for several years prior. The product, however, was well worth the wait as it is a very nice park. Hopewell Meadows Park features two picnic shelters available on a first-come first-served basis. The main shelter can accommodate about 68 people and is on some prime "real estate," located between the restrooms and the large playground area. The smaller shelter, located on the park's East side near part of the walking trail and many trees, maxes out at around 28 people. I've played on Hopewell's tennis courts a couple of times and in addition to being somewhat new courts, the back fences between the two courts are angled to keep your tennis balls from rolling onto the other court. The basketball court also is nice (minus those darn double rims) and not one of those blacktop courts like at some of the other parks. Additionally, there is a large walking path that is somewhat scenic, the park has a small baseball field, and even the bathrooms are nice for park standards (the lights turn on when you open the door, pretty cool...I'm easily pleased). On the whole, the Hopewell Meadows Park is a somewhat small, yet great park and it's an excellent place to play some basketball or tennis, or to take your little kids to play on the playground. And unlike some parks, you can bring your bike/skateboard/roller blades/scooter through, as long you do so in a "safe manner."

On Sundays in the summer a musician plays the carillon bells in the tower for about an hour in the afternoon. Bring some blankets, lay in the sun, and watch the clouds while you listen to the carillon. Behind the playground is a ravine and a hiking trail. Take the stairs down to the old boat house. This seems to be a popular spot to take engagement pictures and senior pictures. From there follow the trail into the woods and along the creek. It's a great place to take your kids to learn about trees, bugs, and other outdoorsy things. The trail does not go very far before the creek makes a sharp left turn and it becomes difficult to go further. We wandered around for a while trying to find the continuation of the trail, but it seems that it ends at the bend in the creek. From there you backtrack to the park. This park is within walking distance of our house, so on our way home we pass through the Mariemont square and always get some ice cream from Graeters. A great way to end any afternoon. It can be hard to find this park, but Mariemont has put a sign pointing the way in the median on Wooster Pike.

Withrow Nature Preserve is a good place for exercise and hiking. It has several miles of trails…read morelooping around the park. The trails are marked with interesting facts about wildlife. It's not too grueling, if you want to walk all of it. The park has a spot overlooking the Ohio River. It has signs directing you from the 275 exit. It's very helpful. The park is located along Five Mile Road. It has a good size parking lot at the entrance. There usually is more than enough room. At the beginning of the trails is the Withrow home. This is the only location of bathrooms in the park. It has a couple trails through the woods that each loop around. The better one is the Trout Lily Trail. It's a couple of miles to walk all of it. The best part is the overlook of the Ohio River. It has a small clearing with some benches. The view isn't great because it's far away, but you can still see parts of the river. If you're in Anderson Township and have a few hours for walking, this is the best place for it. It could use some more bathrooms. There's a few located at the Withrow home, so go before you hit the trails.

He read something about having birds of prey at this park .. we'd never been there and didn't realize it was going to take an hour to get there. When we arrived there were naturalists who had birds they had rehabilitated after illness or injury. All of them were not going to be able to be set free which is always sad but we got to observe them from a short distance and they answered questions about the bird which was interesting. YOu never know till you try .. if I had know that was all it was I'm not sure we would have drove that distance. we looked at the birds for about 30 minutes and drove back. there was no fee for the park or the birds of prey

A lovely little park on the northern side of Cincinnati! There's a great one mile nature trail with…read moremarkers and educational markers that makes for a nice brisk walk. The lake is great for catch and release fishing and is 1/3 mile loop with lovely views of the water and woods. The bike trail has two loops. The A loop makes a great 4 mile trail run with lovely wildflowers and trees. The B loop is a little more rigorous and woodsy. Highly recommend this park!

Such a fun surprise of a neighborhood park!…read more This park has a large three-section play set, a basketball court, sand volleyball court, and a full picnic area with seating and grills, so it's really easy to spend a long afternoon here. There's even a disc golf course and a cute bridge that makes it feel extra scenic. The paved trail is pretty hilly, which honestly made for a great workout walk, and it's also good for bikes if you don't mind a few climbs. The absolute highlight for me was the access to the beautiful creek running through the park. There are also nice little habitat areas that would be great for bird watching. Public bathrooms are available, though they weren't the cleanest when I visited. There was some trash around, but there are plenty of trash cans, so hopefully that improves with use. It's surrounded by townhouses but open to the public and feels welcoming. Overall a great local park for families, walks, casual sports, or just relaxing by the creek.
