I didn't expect much, given that it was such short notice and on a weekend, but Dr. Scotti returned my call in about 20 minutes. We had an unusual situation, in that the Vet at the emergency center told us that our cat probably would not live very long without supplemental oxygen. Dr. Scotti was amazing in scheduling us in at the beginning of her day and maintaining excellent contact via text regarding her arrival. That allowed us to minimize the amount of time our animal spent away from extra support and maximize the time we could take him home to live out his last moments where he belonged. Dr. Scotti was so amazing in her professionalism and her compassion. Having been through this, I honestly feel like every pet deserves the chance to die at home and Journey's End is just such an excellent way to make this possible. Thank you so much Dr. Scotti. Being able to let our cat die at home meant everything and helped us to have some closure over a horrible situation.

A lady answered the phone (I believe she's the same one mentioned in one of the other reviews) and, even though it was over an hour past their closing time, she agreed to wait for me to drive out there to drop my baby off. She was very kind and understanding. She clearly knows the bond her clients have with the animals they bring in. Even though it was late, she told me to take as much time as I needed. When it came time to take my kitty away to the back room, she was very gentle with her. The cost of the private cremation was $189. (I had called my vet just before driving out there and found out they offered the exact same cremation package for $359, so I found this price to be very reasonable.) They then delivered her ashes to me at work the very next day, along with a certificate of cremation, ink paw prints, a fur clipping, and the blanket I had brought her in with - all in a green canvas tote bag. The ashes were in a white cardboard box inside a velvet drawstring bag with a lovely inscription on it. All of this was included in the price. Nothing was extra. It was all very official-looking and professional. A few days later (i.e. today), I got a card from them in the mail, thanking me for giving them the opportunity to serve me during such a difficult time, signed by the president. I imagine it must be a bummer of a job working there, so I really appreciate all their employees' professionalism. I also appreciate how expediently everything was handled. They made a very sad day in my life a little bit easier. I don't like thinking about other people needing to use this service, but the sad reality is a lot of people probably will, and I highly recommend Heavenly Paws for it.

We asked Jess to hang out with Barnaby around the venue for 3 hours on wedding day and provided timeline, contact information, take-home address, etc in advance. We handed off Barnaby to Jess in his crate/carrier, which is often considered a pet's safe place in a new environment. For some reason we can't understand, Jess had her husband drive away from the venue with Barnaby's carrier. His special bowtie, collar, and leash were in the carrier pocket for the ceremony (thank god the rings were not in there). This led to a very stressful hour before the ceremony as Jess contacted my husband and myself saying she could not find the collar and leash for ceremony time. Thankfully her husband brought the carrier and leash/collar back just in time for the ceremony, but I wish I did not have to be answering vendor texts 10 minutes before I walked down the aisle about an entirely avoidable situation.
