Pretty good pizza .... and I'm from NJ/NY area! This place is located near the Gran Via area. Place is small inside and packed . There is an order/pick up window ... takes about 15-20minutes to wait But I got a delicious personal pizza to take back to my hotel . I enjoyed it very much I had the mushroom and cheese

If you're visiting Madrid, you will undoubtedly need a tapas break. For as good as it is, it's super rich, and you just want something different after a few days. For moments like this, Vesuvio hits the spot with some solid pizza that's part Neapolitan, part New York, but all Spain. It's small inside, but if you come early (1:00 PM), you should be able to grab a spot on the wall or "bar." There aren't any tables inside, but there are plenty of stools. The pizza itself is pretty good! It's no Da Michele (Naples) or Juliana's (NY), but it's pretty decent! We had the tomato/cheese/onion and the four cheese, and they both hit the spot after way too much tapas. They don't use a wood-fired oven here, so don't expect the burnt goodness that comes with that, but hey, you're eating pizza in Spain. The service is friendly, and I love the character of the place. They don't have WiFi because they'd rather have people talk to each other, and they have a phrase of the day that they write something profound on. If you're a high roller, they'd highly prefer if you didn't use bills over 500 Euro, but what place wouldn't? They don't have slices, but the individual pies only run about 7-8 Euro. You'll be ok. When you need your tapas break, and you will, Vesuvio can make it happen with pizza without making you have to turn in your cool traveler card.

Do not go here. this pizza is one of the worst pizzas I've ever had. I thought that it was going to be amazing as we waited a huge line and saw many reviews about it but it wasn't. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I ordered a salami pizza and the salami was PURPLE. I don't think ive ever seen that. It was very weird. the only good thing about it was the garlic bread. It definitely has much room to improve.

One of the best pizza places in Madrid. It is cheap, at about 6.5 and 7.9€ for a pizza. The place is sort of small, but you can manage. I'd probably be back.

Loved the pizza! Gnocchi was pretty good too. All fresh and made right then, doesn't take long at all; pretty crowded though and you have to find a seat but worth it!

Pepperoni pizza up front, ham and pimientos (red bell peppers) in the back. Pepper flakes in center.

Yes! Just what was needed on our final day in Madrid. We made it in early (around 7:30 pm) for dinner, and they were not serving pasta until after 8. Since Madrileños eat pretty late, we had plenty of room. Note that the pizzas are personal size, so each person in party can get their own. They don't have jalapeños to add on pizza (notice a theme in my Madrid reviews? ) but did have the traditional pepper flakes that are ground up more than usual. Good pies!

Great pizza! Really liked this place. It is tiny and you need to get there early to get a seat. The staff were really nice and so were the other customers I met there. Four beers and two pizza were less than 25 euro. I am looking forward to returning there.

Our last night in Madrid and my brother and I stumbled upon this Italian place that had people lined up for it. After 9 days of Spanish food, it was a nice change of pace and the pizza guy tossing the dough in the window looked like an expert. This is a small place with maybe about 25 seats at two long bars. We waited in line for perhaps 25 minutes before we were able to snag two seats together right next to the door, but the food was definitely worth it. If you just want pizza to go, you can order from the pizza-tossing guy at the window, which people were doing the whole time. This place was packed and busy! I love gnocchi so we ordered that with Bolognese sauce as well as the #9 pizza with tomato, mozzarella, mushrooms, jamon, and olives. Both were AMAZING! The pizza is on the smaller side, but enough for two people if you also get a pasta. Italian food made authentically since the Italians who opened up this business in 1979 is a definite must if you're in the mood while in Madrid.

Thrust photo was taken 2 seconds after getting our pizza. Didn't last long

The food's quality was terrible: - The pizza ingredients were very low quality and not well distributed. - We ordered a simple margherita and it didnt even contain basil leaves. - We ordered a different pizza with egg and bacon: it was also really bad. - Even the balsamic vinegar was bad. (They only had once of these thick vinegar bottles, and the cap was all dirty) - the focaccia was the worst: It has a thick section that was half baked, and the rest of it looked like a thin crispy bread/cookie For the staff: - The staff tried to avoid adding the discount from the reservation. After complaining, they fixed it, but you shouldn't need to complain to prevent being charged extra. - The staff was a bit lost on what was their menu. - They were polite at least The restaurant: - This used to be a different restaurant, one of the best pizza places in Madrid. About aprox. 2 years ago, the owner sold the restaurant and a different one was put in place of it. However, they decided to keep the name of the restaurants as well as all the excellent reviews it had in apps like yelp and trip advisor. While it could be a bit unfair to compare, as it is a completely different restaurant, in which only the name of it remained, the restaurant now has cheaper prices than the original one from years ago, but the ingredients are even cheaper, so in reality, the quality to prize ratio got a massive negative impact.

It was the perfect warm and cozy meal for a unseasonably cold and rainy Madrid evening. Even the fresh parm came out in a small iron cast tiny dutch oven/pan that was adorable and very on brand with the modern decor around. There is a wall, in one of the seating areas, that has flowers in olive oil so nicely displayed and perfect for a picture background. The restaurant is on a nice small street, so while wandering the area we just happened to stumble upon it on our first day in Madrid. When I saw that it was authentic pasta, I figured it would be great to give it a try, and I'm so glad that we did. We went on a Sunday, the same day as El Rastro, huge weekly flea market in the La Latina neighborhood. The streets were packed and so was Nina. However, we snagged a large community table in the back. One important tip about going on Sunday- they have a limited menu due to the amount of people coming because of El Rastro. The menu offers 2-3 tapas, and only 2 lunch options. But don't worry because both options are AMAZING. Their carbonara and Gnocci are to die for! We also had tinto de Verano to drink (sangria) that was also really yummy. We loved this place so much that on our last full day we had to return for one more meal! We went on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch, perfect time because it wasn't crowded and they also had their full menu available. We were happy to be greeted by the same lovely servers who remembered us from Sunday. My fiancé went with the carbonara again and I tried one of their daily specials, and OMG I am so glad so did. They offered a pappardelle black truffle and parmesan pasta and it was life changing to say the least. I spent time thinking about how I can bring some back to the US. I also tried to savor each bite by eating very slowly lol. During that meal we also had the gnocchi bravas, their take on the classic patatas bravas. That also was amazing, and a nice change since we'd been eating the traditional bravos all week. Please, please, please if you're in Madrid stop by Ninas Pasta Bar for lunch. You will not regret it and you probably will think about the pasta for the rest of your trip, like I did!!
