Both times, they did not try to upsell me on anything I didn't need. The first time, we did not really have any issues. This time, he did say part of the house was higher a little bit, but that it should settle on its own in a few months and that they would come back out and check it again at that time. I appreciate that they do not try to find BS to try to charge you for when you don't need it. It's a good strategy because I will always trust them, and when there is eventually an issue, I am sure I will have them take care of it.

Some brickwork is cracked around suspended arches and cornerstone decorative pieces (e.g. above garage doors) but obviously has been for decades. I specifically called Cornerstone because I wanted a serious contractor who does actual poured footings, not that stacked cylinder mess that could actually crack your foundation worse as they use your house for the jack leverage. Dave was on time, courteous and (given that our appointment was in the middle of the Viral Apocalypse) understanding that I was working from home instead of 'off' for the day of our appointment. We spoke for a bit, he outlined everything well and asked pertinent questions about my reasons for calling, then got down to work inspecting...and recommended no work be done at this time. I offered to pay a service charge but he said that wasn't necessary. We did follow up on the phone briefly (I was busy when he was finished) and I am strongly considering coming back to them for some drainage improvements here and there as precautionary measures.
