I think most builders think we must be complete schmucks. The outrageous quotes I got for…read morerebuilding my dilapidated deck with composites were outrageous. Sergio was the only one to come close to being reasonable. His crew tore down the old deck and built a very solid replacement. The Timbertech surface and aluminum railing looks great. I am the kind of person to poke around and ask a lot of questions, Sergio was on the site every day and patiently explained every part of the process. The only snafu was the cleanup at the end (not removing the broken up footers) but once I brought this to his attention it was quickly remedied. I have zero reservations about recommending Super Decks!

A huge thank-you to John,…read morethe owner, and to Abraham and Abraham Jr., who handled everything from start to finish with incredible care and diligence. They put so much effort into this project, and it shows in the finished work. John recommended going with composite decking, and I'm so glad we listened. We chose Trex in Spiced Rum paired with white railing, and the combination turned out absolutely beautiful. Our project included multiple sets of stairs, and they did a fantastic job bringing everything together. The craftsmanship and attention to detail were great. We received several competing bids, and their price was very competitive--especially for the quality of work they delivered. It's wonderful to find a team that takes this much pride in what they do and follows through with such a beautiful result. I've worked with many contractors, and John stands out for his honesty and integrity. He's a rare find--the kind of person you trust and want to work with again and again. I absolutely plan on hiring their team again by for other decks and would recommend them to anyone considering a new deck. Grateful for their work.

He skips the heavy paperwork and works on trust instead. As a real estate entrepreneur, that was unusual to me, but it turned out faster and just as reliable since he backs it up. Where other deck builders I spoke to seemed shaky/flaky about my project, John was solution-oriented, brave, and responsive. That confidence is ultimately why I hired him. Abraham Sr and Jr, the builders, are true craftsmen. They work hard, move fast, and were always open to dialogue when something needed improvising on the spot. Hardscaping wasn't part of the project. They're upfront that it's not their focus, so I brought in a separate company for that piece, no issue at all. While this isn't the least expensive deck builder in San Diego, the quality and honesty are there. Where I did blow past my original budget, John flagged it ahead of time, so it was never a surprise. The end result exceeded my expectations, including the cable railing, which looks clean, modern, and beautifully finished. I'll be hiring John and his crew again for my next deck project without a second thought. And I'm 100% sure my neighbors are about to start knocking, asking who did the deck... ;-)

I had hired another guy that did a horrible job attempting to install my new gate but had to stop him as he was damaging the concrete mounted posts and had no experience. But lucky enough Abe the owner of Level Up was referred and his expertize was exactly what my project needed. He concrete mounted my new gate and fence. Abe and his crew made sure it was straight, secure and installed correctly. His skills had him modify some metal brackets to secure the gate and upgraded some bolts and screws to much heavy duty versions for better reliabitly. He was dealing with sloaped concrete which made our project more challenging to make it look level and straight. We could not be happier with the result. I only wish I met him earlier. Abe was fast with response and availabity. He was extremely professional, knowledgable and a pleasure to work with. He cleaned up the site and even took it apon himself to remove all the old fence, trash and boxes from the jobsite. Really going up and above expectations. I would highly recommend Level Up Fabrication and Construction. They are a metal fabrication company but they are much more than that.

The Positives * Communication & Speed: They were quick to respond, quick to get us on the schedule, and finished the installation very fast. * Pricing & Reputation: Their quote was fair and in line with other estimates I received. I ultimately chose them because I recognized the brand and had seen their work around the neighborhood. * Customer Support: When I reached out regarding issues after the job, they responded quickly and sent a different installer out to fix one of the issues. The Negatives * Damaged Materials: Many vinyl pieces arrived scratched up because they were transported loose in the back of the installer's truck, sliding around in dirt and debris. * Rough Site Cleanup: I had carefully cleared all the rocks away from the old fence so they could work easily and replace the rocks afterward. Because the crew rushed, they did a poor job spreading the rock back out, leaving obvious bare dirt patches despite there being plenty of rock. There were tons of vinyl shavings from the installation that are all over the yard. * Property Damage: Concrete was dripped onto my decorative walkway pavers, which I still haven't been able to remove. * Missed Instructions: I specifically asked them not to connect the new fence to my neighbor's existing fence, but they did it anyway. Follow-Up & Final Verdict To their credit, Alpine Fence sent a second technician who replaced the scratched rails, posts, and gate, and fixed a gate installation error. However, they completely ignored the concrete on my decorative pavers, the rock landscaping issue, and the improper connection to the neighbor's fence. They get the job done quickly and stand by their customer service to an extent, but the rushed workmanship and damage to surrounding property keep this at a 3-star review.
