Mountain bowl
Kat L.

Vessel Kitchen is hands down the best airport food I've ever had (lounges excluded, of course). I ordered the Mountain Bowl for brunch, which came with eggs, braised beef, sweet potato hash, pickled onions, Peruvian green sauce, and feta. The combination of flavors worked really well, and I loved that it felt both healthy and satisfying. The portion was generous enough that I was able to stretch it into two meals. This spot is especially great for health-conscious travelers or anyone with dietary restrictions, as allergens are clearly marked on the menu. Breakfast offerings were somewhat limited to a few bowls, toasts, and coffee, but everything looked fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Service in the airport location was minimal as it's an airport location and more of takeout style with about 5 tables available for dine in. I've also eaten at Vessel Kitchen in Salt Lake City and know they offer a wider variety of lunch and dinner options. I almost wish my flight had been later so I could have enjoyed more of the menu!

Chicken and grains bowl!

I ordered the chicken and grains bowl and it was so delicious! It inspired me to make this at home. Love how healthy and so filling this bowl was. Definitely recommend it!

I love a spot that knows their flavors. I was surprised to find a place that had such delicious food at such affordable prices for an airport. The bowls are fresh and colorful and absolutely delicious. There are many options and proteins to choose from. They are quick because they build your bowl assembly style. I had the Utah Bowl ($14) - it had shredded chicken on top of this amazing sweet potato hash and cilantro sauce. It did not feel healthy because it was so large but of course I ate it all. Best airport food I'd ever had.

A small restaurant inside Terminal A in SLC offering bowls featuring grains, veggies, and proteins. They won't swap ingredients in the bowls (I wanted the poke with rice, not couscous and they couldn't do it). I ended up with avocado toast and a side of poke. It wasn't a hearty meal for my $20, but it was tasty enough.

Big bowl of food for $15. Staff pretty friendly but there was an overhanging feeling of disorganization. Had to wait for coffee to brew, which took more than 10 minutes. While I was waiting, they ran out of beef, but continued to take orders for it?, just requiring a lot of refunds and order changes. Early morning light reflects off the terminal floor and makes it almost impossible to sit at the counter which faces that way. Seating is very tight; not helped by singles taking all the four tops. Food was tasty and reasonably priced. Fortunately I was early enough to not be bothered by the minor delays.

When you're traveling on a plan especially a long flight, a good meal is even more important. We were on a layover and noticed Vessel Kitchen and their menu looked great. You order at the counter and they load the bowls for you, just takes a few minutes. We got two bowls - the chicken + grains bowl and the uncle Rico with chicken and mashed potatoes. Both bowls were definitely tasty. Hot, fresh, and flavorful. Great combination of ingredients. The only reason I'm taking one star off is because I had 1-2 undesirable "crunch" in my quinoa bowl which was unappetizing. Hopefully they can be more careful going forward.

Managing to find good food in the airport?? Next to impossible but Vessel defies that! We had several hour layover in SLC and we were super thankful to find some good food! You can build your own bowl but I opted for one of the pre made options which was the Uncle Rico. This was delicious! I loved the mashed potatoes and the sauce was so good and the pork was tender! Is it pricey? Yeah but I mean I think overall for the price its not that bad especially for airport food and it was delicious! If you're looking for a meal while waiting in the airport, stop by Vessel!!

Nasty. The workers were more worried more about getting my order than customer service. I had to figure out where the spoons and forks were. No help from the two workers behind the corner. The portions were not what was expecting. But honestly the food was nasty anyways.

I recently flew through Salt Lake City and had a 3-hour layover. I decided to treat myself to a nice lunch at Vessel to spend some time. I normally get their chicken grain bowl which is absolutely fantastic, but I saw they recently updated their menu and it wasn't available. In its place, I decided to try their Utah Bowl which came with Al Pastor chicken thighs, sweet potatoe hash, pepita lime vinaigrette, Israeli Pico, and micro cilantro. I also decided to add the spicy Korean broccoli for freshness. The bowl came generously filled with fresh sweet potatoes, a generous helping of chicken and a delicious vinaigrette that brought everything together. The pickled onions on top also added a pallet cleanser for this rich meal. As for the spicy broccoli, I was really hoping for some spice but to me it didn't have any heat. What it did add was great freshness and crunch which I appreciated. Vessel is always a winner at this airport.

Some of the best quick airport food anywhere. Doesn't give you a heavy feeling on the plane. Only ones ordering so I had fun talking to the staff. Food was prepared and ready just as soon as I ordered (quicker than I was able to swipe my card). Very tasty. Open to the terminal, you are not going to sit for very long.

I usually have to sit there while everyone else enjoys appetizers and dessert, but here I got the full experience, which honestly felt like a luxury. The setup is casual. You order at the counter and then wait for your food, but it still feels organized and easy. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the overall customer service was great, which made the experience even better. For appetizers, we ordered the Smoked Salmon Deviled Eggs and the Spinach Artichoke Dip. Both were really good. I had never tried deviled eggs with smoked salmon before, but it worked surprisingly well. The salmon didn't overpower the egg and added a really nice flavor. The artichoke dip was also a standout and something I'd definitely order again. For my entrée, I had the Huckleberry Pork Tenderloin, and it was my favorite part of the meal. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the huckleberry sauce, but it completely won me over. It's that perfect balance of savory and slightly sweet, and I genuinely wished I could take a bottle home. I chose the Parmesan mashed potatoes with gravy and the green beans with bacon and onion as my sides. The mashed potatoes were good, though the gravy leaned a little too savory for my taste. The green beans, however, were excellent. The bacon added great texture and flavor. My husband ordered the Cold-Smoked Sous Vide Tri-Tip with green beans and sweet potato mash. I'm usually not a sweet potato person, but these were shockingly good. I'll probably get those next time. We were already full, but they had gluten-free dessert options, which I couldn't pass up. We took home the Huckleberry Chocolate Mousse and the Huckleberry Supreme Pie, and both were incredible. I honestly couldn't pick a favorite. We definitely overdid it... but I regret nothing. Being able to enjoy appetizers, a full meal, and dessert without worrying about gluten was such a treat. I'd absolutely recommend this place, especially if you're gluten free and tired of feeling limited when you go out to eat.

I was excited about the mushrooms with garlic and onion in the description. The chicken was so salty it was inedible. The only flavor profile was salt and smoke. The funeral Potatoes are made with large chunks of potatoes that are not cooked through, like crunching on an apple, not cooked. The one thing that was edible were the mashed potatoes. My friend tried it as well and neither of us wanted to finish it. It pains me to hit post review, I don't like to be negative but I do need to be honest.

Bonus points for giving me to go cup so I could take the rest with me. For food I got the biscuit Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was a pretty lemony, but I really did enjoy it. In fact, I loved it's so much I came back the following weekend for the same thing, absolutely fantastic. The biscuit with all the fixings was absolutely delightful. My husband got the chicken and waffles, and I got the Ricky burger with fries. We also got the waffle monster to share. My husband really liked his chicken and waffle. The presentation was adorable. We upgraded our pancakes to have bananas, caramel, and whipped cream, and they generously portioned said toppings on *both of our plates*. And holy god was that whipped cream delicious. I only wish their space was bigger and tables were less cramped, what with the plates, coffee cups, and sauces.
