The Long Version: I made a special trip from Ottawa to Laval to visit the greenhouse down the street as it had a specific plant I was looking for that was not available locally (Serres Lavoie) and was excited to see there was another greenhouse so close by (Serres Leblanc). So after going to Serres Lavoie, I popped over to Serres Leblanc. Serres Leblanc has a lot of plants, including cute succulents, but they do not have exotic or unusual succulents, which is primarily what I'm looking to add to my collection. So I decided to get some plant here for my mother and sister-in-law instead. They are also both into indoor plants. My mom needs hardy plants that can withstand occasional overwatering or underwatering, lol. So I got her a variegated Crassula perforata (commonly known as string of buttons). The variegation adds a nice pop to the colouring and jade plants are fairly forgiving of imperfect watering. My sister-in-law likes all plants and can tolerate high maintenance plants, lol. She already has a lot of plants, so I wasn't really sure what to get her. I ended up getting her a variegated Graptoveria titubans. Can you tell I like variegated plants? Lol. I liked the pinkish hue and it's small so won't take up too much space. The plants were $6 each. What a great deal. Staff greeted me when I entered but just let me be to browse around, which I liked. After I paid and carried my purchases to my car, an older gentleman who worked there followed me outside and asked me if I wanted a free bag of freshly cut chives. He had me at free! Lol. I gladly accepted and thanked him for his generosity. I gifted my mom the chives along with her plant. Haha. Free parking is available on-site in their private parking lot. Review #95 (2025)

More specifically, we bought trees from Cramer and one mature tree was half dead on delivery. That they would even deliver such a poor product shows the lack of professionalism from the start. We refused acceptance of this dead 6-foot tree. After a couple days of chasing the garden center to answer the phone, we were told to accept a refund for the tree or go away. When we stated that this was unacceptable, Christain yelled at me and hung up like I was her boyfriend and not a Customer. When the owner (Mario) was reached, he implied that I chose this dead tree. He offered a refund for the tree and blew me off to some underling. What an arrogant little fool he is. At the end of the day, he will not replace the tree and will refund only the one tree leaving me out of pocket for a delivery fee. What is the word for one who takes money for a product they don't deliver on? Anyway, do your self a favor and avoid this overpriced and poorly run garden center.

I didn't spend much time with the rocks and sod, although my friend got a couple big flagstones for her patio and she was super happy with the price, quality, etc. I did spend a ton of time in the greenhouse full of vegetable seedlings and got everything to plant my garden this year. I wasn't planning to, but they had everything I could have hoped for and the prices were right so tadah. The seedlings are super affordable, there are tons of varieties and everything is clearly documented so you can figure out what plants will go well together and how to care for them. There is staff everywhere and they are busy but super helpful and friendly. Even packed on the weekend lines moved super quickly, I was super impressed. When we arrived the crowds made me nervous feeling like we'd be tangled up forever but the staff's efficiency and calm kept everything moving smooth and chill. I loved my experience here, and my lovely plants are all in the garden now and looking so happy, I'll be back next year for my veggies for sure, and maybe sooner if I get my act together for a balcony garden!

I prefer small unusual succulents and Serres Lavoie had plenty of them. They have a website and that's how I found out about them. And I knew I had to make a special trip from Ottawa to Laval to check them out. I was overjoyed to find some plants that I never saw in Ottawa. They have a large selection of plants. I ended up getting 3 plants: a Pleiospilos nelli (Split Rock plant) for $7.99, a Conophytum maughanii for $9.99, and a Cheiridopsis speciosa for $14.99. I also got 3 tiny 2.5 inch plastic nursery pots for $0.15 each and a 2.2L bag of soil specially formulated for Lithops for $11.99. The cashier was very friendly and packaged everything carefully. They reuse cardboard boxes to place your plants in and even reuse old plastic nursery trays to keep your plants upright. They have free parking in their private parking lot. Review #92 (2025)

The woman who served me, took careful attention to arrange, wrap, wrap again, staple and bag the order for the impending cold air outside. An obvious shock from the greenhouse like feel inside. What would you expect it's full plant exhalations. The price for my order seemed fair, which can be a real gouge at other well healed boutique shops, but not sure about the other items. The Long Version: I have always loved food, but my newest obsession is plants, so while visiting Montreal recently, I had to look up all the plant stores near my hotel. Haha. Anyway, La Fleurasion popped up in my search, so I had to check it out. It's a small store, but they have a good collection and everything is very aesthetically pleasing. I love succulents and I love baby plants and they had so many arrangements with tiny succulents in them. They had gorgeous terrarium arrangements. I really enjoyed browsing the store and ended up buying a tiny succulent arrangement with 5 tiny succulents for only $6.99. The ceramic pot was an additional $5.99 and I have lots of pots at home, so I just bought the plant in the plastic nursery pot. Reasonable prices for a small plant boutique, especially considering the time and effort to create the cute arrangements and keeping them alive (it's tough to keep succulents alive in terrariums. As much as I love the look, I would need to repot them into actual pots in order to not kill them, lol). Staff were pleasant. I definitely recommend checking out La Fleurasion if you're looking for flowers or plants, for yourself or as gifts. Just a note of caution though, they seem to be floral designers at heart, so while their succulent arrangements look pretty, I do question their longevity if you don't repot or if you don't know too much about plants. I repotted my arrangement when I got home and I noticed none of the cuttings had roots yet! I'm trying to get them to root, so we'll see how it goes, lol. The plant arrangements are not the well-established plants you'd get at nurseries, but they are really pretty. Review #79 (2025)
