I didn't spend much time with the rocks and sod, although my friend got a couple big flagstones for her patio and she was super happy with the price, quality, etc. I did spend a ton of time in the greenhouse full of vegetable seedlings and got everything to plant my garden this year. I wasn't planning to, but they had everything I could have hoped for and the prices were right so tadah. The seedlings are super affordable, there are tons of varieties and everything is clearly documented so you can figure out what plants will go well together and how to care for them. There is staff everywhere and they are busy but super helpful and friendly. Even packed on the weekend lines moved super quickly, I was super impressed. When we arrived the crowds made me nervous feeling like we'd be tangled up forever but the staff's efficiency and calm kept everything moving smooth and chill. I loved my experience here, and my lovely plants are all in the garden now and looking so happy, I'll be back next year for my veggies for sure, and maybe sooner if I get my act together for a balcony garden!

They have a wonderful selection of flowers and plants. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out they had a bunch of burrow tails that I had been looking for for some time. I've purchased a few plants form them, most being reasonably priced or even on the cheaper side. I've only had one I was a tad surprised at the price tag on it, However it was well worth it. The plant is blooming and growing nicely. They give you tricks and information on how to best care for your plant. I've also had them order plants for me as well and they usually come in within that week if not the next. A huge bonus is the store is they happily serve you in either French or English regardless of their mother tongue. It's very refreshing.

I started to follow the flower shop's Instagram. The flowers are perfect to decorate any events. It has this beauty of antiques or rustic kind. Finally, I come by which isn't far from where I live! So PERFECT! It's a small shop but it so beautiful. The service from the florists are top notch. They are such sweethearts. I got a bouquet of flowers with a vase to give my pregnant friend who is leaving for her maternity leave. The florist was nice to help me to pick the flowers and made this sunny summer kind of bouquet. Seriously, I wanted to keep for myself. Overall, this place highly recommended to true lovers of flowers.

This brought me to Mega Centre Montreal (Pépinière Gentile) and I was impressed with the size of the place and variety of plants, herbs and trees. I showed Graciella, who was busy looking after the garden centre, a list of edible perennial plants & herbs and without hesitation, she knew most of them and helped identifying and choosing these plants below: Mushroom herb (Plante champignon) It is a leafy green plant with a crisp texture like spinach with a distinctive taste of Mushroom- can be eaten raw in a salad, sandwich or in a pasta sauce. Lemon Balm (mélisse) Is a member of the mint family that grows bushy and can become invasive. The leaves have a pleasant lemon smell used in herbal tea. Spear mint (menthe verte) This is my favourite of all the mints, as it has a delicate sweet taste used in cooking. It helps alleviate symptoms of nausea and indigestion. Lovage (Livèche) tastes like celery with undertones of parsley and a hint of anise. The name is derived from "Love ache", and adds delicious ways to be used in the kitchen. Ginger mint (menthe gingembre) has a spicy scent with a hint of ginger and has many culinary uses. It is primarily sweet with the familiar cooling effect of mint. Nasturtium (Capucine) is an easy to grow flower, adds bright colours to your dish as beautiful decoration and fully edible. The leaves have watercrest-like flavours. Will come back again.

The hubs and I stopped by, and during mid-February to mid-April, the kiosk turns into a sugar shack - it was maple products galore, from sweets, syrups, and everything maple-centric! I saw that they had maple syrup taffy pops, so I had to try one of those! Basically, it's maple sap that is boiled until it becomes maple syrup (but before it turns into maple butter or maple sugar), then poured onto 'snow' (there was a big wooden 'chest' full of ice; then, the syrup is lifted with a small wooden popsicle stick. It is intensely sweet, and the tradition is to be served with sour pickles and coffee; however, this was a 'treat-to-go,' and it was pretty entertaining to experience.
