The Long Version: I made a special trip from Ottawa to Laval to visit the greenhouse down the street as it had a specific plant I was looking for that was not available locally (Serres Lavoie) and was excited to see there was another greenhouse so close by (Serres Leblanc). So after going to Serres Lavoie, I popped over to Serres Leblanc. Serres Leblanc has a lot of plants, including cute succulents, but they do not have exotic or unusual succulents, which is primarily what I'm looking to add to my collection. So I decided to get some plant here for my mother and sister-in-law instead. They are also both into indoor plants. My mom needs hardy plants that can withstand occasional overwatering or underwatering, lol. So I got her a variegated Crassula perforata (commonly known as string of buttons). The variegation adds a nice pop to the colouring and jade plants are fairly forgiving of imperfect watering. My sister-in-law likes all plants and can tolerate high maintenance plants, lol. She already has a lot of plants, so I wasn't really sure what to get her. I ended up getting her a variegated Graptoveria titubans. Can you tell I like variegated plants? Lol. I liked the pinkish hue and it's small so won't take up too much space. The plants were $6 each. What a great deal. Staff greeted me when I entered but just let me be to browse around, which I liked. After I paid and carried my purchases to my car, an older gentleman who worked there followed me outside and asked me if I wanted a free bag of freshly cut chives. He had me at free! Lol. I gladly accepted and thanked him for his generosity. I gifted my mom the chives along with her plant. Haha. Free parking is available on-site in their private parking lot. Review #95 (2025)

Cette année j'ai été impressionée par la varieté des plantes, surtout des legumes qu'on pourrait choisir chez eux. Parmis les plantes achetés samedi dernier, j'ai decidé acheter aussi un arbuste lilas que je l'ai beaucoup aimé, et au cause de sa grandeur j'ai demandé combien pourrait couter la livraison, la mademoiselle à la caisse a cherché d'apres le code postal et m'a informé que ca coute 40.00$. Je decide d'acheter, et livrer mon lilas, et dans ce moment, mon calvaire a commencé. Pour finaliser la commande de livraison, je tombe sur un jeune monsieur nul en informatique. J'ai perdu, sans exageration, 43 minutes devant lui, pour qu'il arrive sortir une page avec la facture et la livraison. Il a essayé completer cette facture sur tous les 3 ordinateurs ( sur les 2 autres, de ses collegues, deux jeunes filles, qui servaient d'autres clients , j'ai compté avec mon mari, plus de 5 clients ont finaliser leur achats et livraisons dans ce temps avec ses collegues ). Bon, chaque fois quand il recommençait entrer la facture sur une autre ordinateur, il nous demandait à grand voix nos informations pour les reécrire. Un embarras terible pour tous les clients qui attandaient finaliser leur achat. En plus apres plus de 6 essaies sur les 3 ordinateurs, il nous annonce qu'il a reussi rentrer la facture, mais la livraison coutait maintenant, pour nos 45 minutes d'embarras 60,00$ au lieu de 40,00$ . WOW ! Belle recompense ! Par dessus du prix de lilas, pas mal cher déjà ! MERCI JARDINS ZEILLINGER de garder et payer du personnel zero competence pour la facturation et la livraison. Ce jeune ne savait même pas comment imprimer la facture, je ne parle plus du fait qu'il a gonflé le prix de la livraison déjà calculé par sa collegue, sans justification ! Sa reponse : si vous n'etes pas contente Madame, je vais vous annuler la livraison et la facture ! WOW ! Non, je ne recommande pas de faire une livraison avec eux !

The Long Version: I made a special trip from Ottawa to Laval in search of unusual succulents. My trip was centred around going to Serres Lavoie because they list all their plants on their website so I knew they had plants I wanted. Centre de Jardin Floreal was an add-on to the trip since it was also a plant store in Laval. They don't list their plants on their website, so i had no idea if they would have anything I wanted, but figured I'd take a look. It turns out that they had even more unusual succulents than Serres Lavoie (which is impressive because I was really happy with Serres Lavoie) and they happened to have a 40% off special on certain succulents. I ended up getting 6 plants. They were all 40% off, so I'll list the price that I ended up paying for them. I got a Haworthia truncata Mammoth ($12.89), a Haworthia maughanii Mooncup ($14.09), a Lapidaria margaretae (aka Karoo Rose) ($8.99), some mixed Lithops ($6.89), a single Lithop optica rubra ($4.79) and a plant that was labelled a Lithop, but I think was mislabelled and is actually a Gibbaeum album ($5.99). Omg! What a deal for all these hard-to-find plants!! I'm over the moon that I found these! I also got 2 made in Germany ceramic pots. They were labelled as $3.99 each but rang in at $4.49 each but I didn't realize it until I got home :( The store is huge and really fun to poke around. They had plastic gardening shoes, as well as some clothes. And of course pots, soil, seeds and so much more in addition to plants. The cashier was friendly. There's free parking in their private parking lot. Centre de Jardin Floreal was the highlight of my Laval trip!! Highly recommend if you're into plants. Review #101 (2025)
