They have a wonderful selection of flowers and plants. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out they had a bunch of burrow tails that I had been looking for for some time. I've purchased a few plants form them, most being reasonably priced or even on the cheaper side. I've only had one I was a tad surprised at the price tag on it, However it was well worth it. The plant is blooming and growing nicely. They give you tricks and information on how to best care for your plant. I've also had them order plants for me as well and they usually come in within that week if not the next. A huge bonus is the store is they happily serve you in either French or English regardless of their mother tongue. It's very refreshing.

I started to follow the flower shop's Instagram. The flowers are perfect to decorate any events. It has this beauty of antiques or rustic kind. Finally, I come by which isn't far from where I live! So PERFECT! It's a small shop but it so beautiful. The service from the florists are top notch. They are such sweethearts. I got a bouquet of flowers with a vase to give my pregnant friend who is leaving for her maternity leave. The florist was nice to help me to pick the flowers and made this sunny summer kind of bouquet. Seriously, I wanted to keep for myself. Overall, this place highly recommended to true lovers of flowers.

Unsure if it is worth visiting on other seasons, but in the summer, it is a beautiful free activity to combine with anything else in the area. It is adjacent to the amazing Westmount park and the Library. We visited all three. Don't expect something like the botanical garden. It is very small, but so cozy. In a corner there is a table with chairs and I thought, I'd come study here if I were still in my twenties.

The greenhouse was originally built in 1927, and it abuts Westmount Park on the western corner. It is also attached to the Westmount Library which is, in and of itself, a wonderful building. I've always loved the concept of borrowing a library book and walking through to the attached greenhouse to sit on a bench among the lovely flowers and bushes and trees, in a warm setting (especially nice during the long, cold Montreal winters!), and hear the gentle sounds of the water in the enclosed "pond", and reading the book in this relaxing, nature-infused setting. BTW, the main room of the greenhouse is called "The Conservatory", and the smaller, adjacent greenhouse is called the "Frog Pond" (due to the pool with fountains there, I presume). Also, another tidbit I learned: here they cultivate the flowers that are used in the famous City of Westmount floral clock on display every summer outside on the front field. The entire structure had been closed for six years, for renovations, and just opened up again last year. I remember walking through this fabulous, glass vaulted greenhouse many times in the past. I remember the heavy, humid air, and the aroma of plants. It truly transported me to exotic places, every time. I know they made the whole experience more accessible to people, and they updated the various needed fixtures for a greenhouse (i.e., heating, irrigation, etc.), but to me, when I visited last month (Jan. 2023), I was somewhat disappointed. The place felt smaller than I remembered, there was no humidity at all in the air, there were no fresh aromas of plants.... It just wasn't as I remembered it. It seems more...contrived, with a windy path that lead from the conservatory to the frog pond room. And that's it. In my memory, it was larger, with more rooms to explore, and again, always had hot, humid air and a heady plant aroma inside. There was none of that when I visited. That said, it's still a stunning building, and a wonderful respite from the business of the city. And I still think it'd be a great place to read a book from the attached library. Oh yes, and it's free to visit. Bonus!
