John Cloud diagnosed a failed memory stick (oh no! they cost so much now!). I supplied an "extra" memory stick from one of the other computers at our church and John continued the repair diagnosing and fixing some particularly nasty software errors that had resulted from the initial hardware failure. All of our installed software now works reliably again! Great job! The machine was back in service on March 5 for a very reasonable repair cost! Space Chimp provided a good designer/developer that knew wordpress well and was very fast in his development. Anything that he did not know how to do he let me know. Communication was good from start to finish. Our site is spiabroad (com) if you want to see the work they did for my company SPI High School Study Abroad programs. They finished our site redesign in a very timely manner and have been very easy to work with since. They gave us a dedicated account manager which has been very helpful to get the periodic updates and tweaks to the site done. This past weekend our website went down due to a server hosting issue (not related to Space Chimp) and the guys came to our rescue all day long on a weekend. I was very impressed. Listen, most web people are not always the best at communication. These guys actually are. Nerds in a Flash arrived late on a day that I was tightly scheduled and asked for considerably more than they had originally estimated (exactly the same job/problem I had described to them)... but redeemed themselves by cheerfully solving my problem and agreeing to the original estimate. Would I hire them again? You bet, but I recommend that you have them come in on a day that you have a flexible schedule, because your own time pressures are demonstrably unimportant to them.

Problem 1: Open-ended commitment on diagnosis and repair time (Fan Replacement on the MSI estimated to take up to 2 weeks). Juan finally told us that they offer 1-day service as an option. Problem 2: Poor detail management. We had to remind Juan to return the charger for the LG. Problem 3: Shop was supposed to open at 10AM and we were told at 10:05 that he was 10-15minutes away. Problem 4: Juan was marginally polite but clearly was not customer friendly. Our Laptops' Status (owner remedies): 1. MSI FAN NOISE: MSI is still functional and sit's on a Large FAN Cooling platform and occasionally makes a bearing squeek. A check for Fan availability shows 5-14day availability (ships from China). Juan, a good customer service approach would have been to just be up front with the parts availability! 2. LG Gram BlueScreen: Using the Windows11 Restore routine after backing up personal files fixed the problem. Juan wanted several hundred dollars to do this including CPU cooling maintenance. Aren't there diagnostics routines that could be used first to confirm that overheating is actually an issue?

I can honestly tell you it was some of the best money we have spent on our business and took a huge stress load off of our plate once our website was in good hands. Specifically their group was amazing at communication and letting us know when and what they were doing to our site. Communication is key on a project such as a website and they definitely had that together. They were also able to understand our needs, how we wanted out site to function, translate that into code, and come out with a final product that we are very happy with. Our budget was limited and I was impressed with their ability to help us prioritize what was important. Even though we were not able to make all the changes we would have liked, our site is beautiful as well as functional and day to day users won't realize what was left undone. White Lion was able to tie the pieces together for us from a very broken state and I can assure you that when our company has grown enough to go to completion with a few details on the site, we will be knocking on their door once again.
