Colorado Discount Skis - Right ski has small hole in the joints. Found such holes at 3 places. Clearly a defect.

My skis came in just a few days and shipping was very reasonable. Check out the site coloradodiscountskis.com. You won't regret it! Especially for performance skis!

I ordered some skis from Colorado Discount Skis. Shortly after I ordered them, within a day or at…read morethe most two, I realized I could purchase them for much less from a different ski shop. As a result I called the number to Colorado Discount Skis and reached a man named Tom, who I believe is the owner, to request a cancelation. Tom stated the skis had already shipped which was understandable, however Tom was extremely rude to say the least. Unbelievable how rude Tom was. I stated that I'd ship them back unpacked in the original box as soon as I received them to my residence, and Tom rapidly stated that it would cost me a $200 "restocking fee", and that if I'd read the info contained on his webpage I would have see that clearly written. I waited until I received the skis, and called Tom a second time to let him know of my intentions to ship the skis back to his store. If it was even possible, he may have been even more rude than he was during the first conversation very much berating me verbally while reminding me that yes, if I sent them back, it would cost me $200 so that the amount to be refunded would be what I'd paid minus the $200. If you read some of the other reviews, it's clear that Tom has a history of being unnecessarily rude and abrasive. It's amazing to me with his harsh attitude and demeanor and disposition that he's even still in business. And what is with the $200 fee. Ok I get it. Time is money but that is excessive. Tom is an extremely unpolite business owner to put it lightly certainly by the way he spoke with me. Don't get the intent of my review mistaken. I was willing to suck up the $200 which is absurd in and of itself, but because Tom was so rude and nasty, I didn't trust that he'd ever refund me the difference of what I'd paid minus the $200. Then I'd have to take this extremely rude individual to court which would cost me more than the skis I'd suspect. I'd be out of the money and skis if I dared risk shipping them back. Tom is the most rude business owner I've ever met in my entire life and I'm 62 and retired from Active Duty, United States Army. Tom also told me that I'd better get them shipped back quickly because based on his return policy, my time was expiring. Unbelievable. How corrupt.

**WARNING** Monitor Your Purchas History!!! I give this…read morewarning, but even if your purchase history is not correct, they won't fix it unless you report to their customer service desk with information from their website and stand in front of them. I recently purchased a firearm from the Colorado Springs Scheels. While waiting for the Colorado Democrat's "cool down" period to pass, I decided I would register for a Scheels online account to track my purchases. After creating an account, I noticed it actually had all my purchase history, likely from using the same email for digital receipts on previous purchases. While looking at my purchase history, I noticed the firearm I purchased, but then noticed a second firearm purchased 1 minute later... Yet, I only purchased one firearm. The website shows receipts for all the purchases. The receipt for the firearm I purchased shows "Customer: Default Scheels" in place of my name. Yet the receipt for the firearm I DID NOT PURCHASE shows "Customer: James Parker" and shows it being purchased using two separate cards (a VISA and a MasterCard) - and using my name on the receipt. Additionally, I confirmed they offer a 5% discount for miliary veterans. I showed my veteran ID and then paid the total. Looking at my receipt, the veteran discount was not applied to my purchase... Yet, when I look at "my" other receipt, for the firearm I DID NOT PURCHASE, it shows Scheels applied the veteran discount to this mysterious second firearm sale using my name and account information and then applying a "Tax Exempt" ID number that I have never seen once in my life. I am not sure if who's information they used for the background check, they say I don't need a new background check to purchase another weapon as long as it's within 30 days... If this is malicious, it would make sense this next sale happened one minute later before a legitimate customer came to the counter. I'm not sure who they will be handing this other, paid for, firearm to - I just hope and pray it's not someone with bad intentions. When I called the store and asked to speak to a manager, I was transferred to Kevin. Kevin says this is beyond anything he can handle and that he would require me to return to the store in person to provide them with proof and documentation. After explaining to Kevin that all my documentation is from THEIR website, he still insisted I will have to bring the documentation from their website to their store for them to address in person. I used to think firearms sales transactions require strict record accuracy... until I purchased a firearm at Scheels. But at a minimum, customers should be able to trust that their information is protected and handled appropriately -- especially when it involves firearm transactions. I would highly recommend purchasing your firearms from a ligament firearms dealer before trusting a retail zombie like Scheels for your firearms purchase.
