Limon was our goal stopping point for a hotel on our way from Georgia to Colorado…read more We were excited when we spotted a gift shop with a Sinclair across the street. This was only our second time in a Sinclair. They have diesel so that was a major bonus! Now our love for all things Dino has begun! There's a large bear with a Welcome to Limon sign in the middle of the gas station that's a perfect photo op. Not to mention Dino out front, more photo ops! The gift shop is attached to the gas station. We were pleasantly surprised being a gas station the prices were very reasonable. They have just as many, if not more souvenirs as the shops in the "destination towns". On our way back through we stopped here again for the last minute Colorado souvenirs. This ended up being one of our favorite shops. After we got home to Georgia and unloaded I wished I had purchased a few more things. I looked their number up online and gave them a call hoping they'd be willing to ship a few things to me. Karen in the gift shop was AMAZING!! She shipped exactly what I wanted the very same day I called!! She sent me tracking and I received my package a few days later. She also attached a perfect little LIMON post card with my order. That's over and beyond customer service! Very sweet lady! I highly recommend this Sinclair gas station, gift shop!!! We will definitely stop here the next time we go to Colorado.

So much so, we returned the next day to purchase the sweatshirt I was eyeing and I've hardly taken it off since! So many cute Colorado themed items like your typical souvenir trinkets-- magnets, socks, spice mixes, clothing, post cards, mugs... a little bit of everything!

All About Colorado is probably my favorite souvenir place that I visited in Downtown CO Springs…read more If rating souvenir shops on the scale of cheesy t-shirt shop to high end decor, AAC falls right in the middle. It has a little bit of everything for everyone. AAC is actually two shops in one. It looks like they may have been separate at one time, but are now connected. Both sides have similar items and similar helpful staff. Here are some of the items I liked: Hats: I love a good ball cap. They had several different styles. Shirts: There were a good variety of shirts that were Colorado themed or for specific local attractions. Their shirts were much cheaper than the ones for sale at the local attractions. Stickers: I love stickers. I bought several. There were some that seemed a tad ridiculous, but I am sure they sell plenty of weed themed stickers here. Weeeeeeeed maaaaaaan. Get a job hippy. Coffee Mugs: Even though I drink iced coffee, I love location specific mugs. They had mugs a plenty here. Kids books: Who hasn't read "Who Pooped in the Snow"? Actually, I have not and it made me regret that my kids don't like story time anymore. This store has way more than the items I listed. I think you will like it. I did.

I went to this store mid-day during the week last week, to purchase a gift basket for a charity…read moredonation from my business. I live in the area, and had seen this store several times so I thought it would be a great option, I was wrong. I entered the store, and there was nobody on the floor at all to greet me. I walked around for a while, still nobody. A good 10 minutes later, I still have not been helped. All I could hear was a woman having a very casual phone conversation from the back room. I had announced myself twice, and even asked if "anyone was here" loud enough for someone in the back to hear me. I guess the phone conversation she was having was much more important than an actual customer in the store. From what I saw, everything seemed to be locally produced, but was very overpriced. I am always willing to pay more for a store that gives great customer service, but sadly, this type of retail is what had me going back to amazon. Disappointing to say the least, my business will be going elsewhere.

I wandered into this store after my dental cleaning appointment and immediately got 5 gifts individually picked out and taken care of by Aimee, the owner. What a load off to get those necessities handled in such a quick manner by such a pleasant person! I got five baskets - 2 mens and 3 womens - each different with some Colorado food items, jams, sauces, treats, and Enstroms! The ladies got bath foo foo, lotions and Hammonds! There's no such thing as too much chocolate. The store is new and still getting a few items but I found everything I needed for the out of towners. What a relief. I happened in around the first of December but I'm usually a last minute person and this would be the place to get last minute gifts. Plus it's local, with locally made items - you've got to love that!

Let me start by saying I am bummed I cannot give this spot more stars like 10! This place is a…read morenational treasure and I did;t even get the full effect, i.e. shows etc. as I showed up unannounced on a road trip west. But isn't that how the cowboys did it back in the day? The best part is when I arrived at 10 a.m., I literally had the whole museum grounds of this wild west town to myself. What a steal for 10 bucks and for such a worthy cause. Driving west on I-70 you'll come across this gem immediately west of the KS/CO border. yep, it's a legit border town and you can feel the old west on its streets before you even get to the museum. Drive around Burlington and get a bite to eat there if you can. I ate breakfast back in Colby KS and it was decent, standard truck stop town food, but I'll bet my one-eyed, three-legged doggy Lucky the grub is better around Burlington. Well, if I had a dog thats' what he would look like and what his name would be. Anyway ... The folks here are awesome and take time to break it down for you. They are super inviting and run the place like a charm. From what was told every building on the property that makes up the old west town came from Burlington and was either there or moved there from within town by the city and the group who put this museum on back in 1986 I believe it started. The city was looking for an attraction and they found a real one. Every one of these buildings is authentic and filled with real-deal artifacts and momentous from the days of ole. It gives you a real-life idea of what life was like back then and how people lived and what was important to them for pleasure, leisure, and necessary plain old survival. This is a real treat for traveling with kids and adults alike the kind of education that can't be learned simply by reading books, here you get to be standing there and visualizing and touching and feeling the old west in their hands. Walk the town and feel it. Their fairly new Native American exhibit is pretty dam cool too. They show how life could really be for Native Americans and their authentic Tee-Pee and has a recorded message and tour in each building at every exhibit as you walk through. The great thing is you can take all the time you want. Sit in town on a bench on the cobblestone street and take it all in as they play western tunes. Fortunately, the old jail is right across street from the saloon which would have worked out very well for a scoundrel dirty desert dog of my ilk. I could have just turned myself in every night like Otis from Mayberry. It's just simply fascinating. It makes you grateful for all you do have and see how hard life was back then and how difficult it can often be in these small towns throughout America. I'm spoiled in the city for sure. All I kin say guys and gals is, git along lil doggy git along. But get over here if you're driving west on I-70 Burlington, CO way.
