Just when a girl thinks she has been finally able to find a great dealership. 2018 Tucson. Decided to try Vernon Hyundai as Kelowna Hyundai is really awful. Was told by sales man 2018 he is up for big award. Help him out buy the car lol... I did. Enjoyed vehicle until today.Salesman got his big promotion. What is it like to find out you have paid for service not necessary? Like a gut punch. Last fall went to have summer tires off and stored, winters put on. Asked where my guy was Mike told me they fired him. Oh no I liked him.... He was getting services done that were not necessary. Oh my God. He said I needed 3 services, I did one then was in for next one etc... too expensive to do all at once. Mike apologized and checked my history, I also was told I needed new summer tires. So Mike service manager cut me a break for this summer to have tires on my rims. Newly promoted guess he wanted to do right. Wrote price down on yellow copy of paper. Nice guy. Wrong he is a creep. I went in today to switch tires and oil change. Was told oh $249 brake service needed. Huh? How do you know haven't even looked at my vehicle. Miles thing. Ok I just had this 6 months ago, that was one of the service liar guy told me I had to do. I said what is it for, he told me. I said I don't understand husband is outside you can explain to him. Brought hubby in, Mike pointed in my face and said you don't listen, not going to tell you again. WTF? Hmm why could Mike ex-lain to my husband? Anyway I wanted to speak to manager on duty... Nate. Oh sorry Nate is busy. Glass windows, see Mike is in there with him so fast. I said great let's all sit down and discuss what the problem is. Mike left told me to fo, Nate said how long you been married, I said why? Repeated would not say. Finally Nate said well I been married 20 years if I left my wife first argument that's not good. Hmm ok there is a big age difference between us, but good analogy I guess? So we talked, the more Nate said the more buttons he pushed. He said that "his customer service" ratings are 100%. Stupid me I said yes because you make us rate 10 of 10. Won't let us off phone unless we verbally say 10! He lost it kicked us out of office. Moral is tire price his manager gave for 4 tires, I have rims was $613 bucks! They will not make money now on them and most likely do not have them. Mike service manager is boarder line crazy, rude and oddly nervous when husband came in. Nate to offense about their satisfaction rating and as I could not give 10 out of 10 after today refused to service my vehicular. It was in writing, had an apt. What is wrong Nate on the line with complaints. If you had your car over serviced in the last few years, call get print outs check details. I have been having my vehicle serviced at Vernon Hyundai for the past 7 years. I've always been really pleased with the auto and customer service. Recently I had a comprehensive insurance claim due to rodent getting under the hood and chewing wires and leaving a terrible smell in the cabin. Hyundai took the photos and provided the requested information to the insurance within a day or two from my vehicle being towed to them. The time it took for the insurance company to approve the claim was ridiculous -over 8 weeks (I don't recommend *Family Insurance* for comprehensive coverage) This timeframe all came down to an incompetent insurance agent. The team at Hyundai were very sympathetic and equally annoyed by the totally avoidable delays from the insurance company. They spent a ton of time contacting the agent and inevitably the management to get things moving along. I appreciated their time and effort immensely. Definitely alleviated my stress load. This is undoubtedly the longest review I will ever share but for good reason. As soon as the insurance claim was approved Hyundai had the repairs completed within a couple of days which was great. Unfortunately I had more bad luck when it came to having the car detailed after the repairs were done. I made the mistake of choosing Super B's in Vernon. I didn't know it at the time but this place has a terrible reputation . The owner lost my keys and Fob and he was actually laughing when he called to tell me and subsequently ask for my other (only other) set. I was apprehensive to give him my last set but didn't have much choice. He quoted $800 and tried to bill more in the end. When I got the vehicle back after 10 long weeks I was disappointed that my windshield was so streaked I could barely see through when the sun was shining on it. There was a greasy film left all over the interior and windscreen presumably from the chemical bombs that needed to be done to clean the rodent smell. My gearshift lock cover was missing. Worst of all they killed the battery and didn't tell me. Presumably the lights were left on while he was locked out. The owner Brian has had such poor dealings with other local businesses that they won't do business with him anymore. I learned this because he wasn't able to get a new key and fob made locally to replace the ones he lost. He told lies to me on more than one occasion. I had to wash down the interior myself and clean the windshield in order to drive it. The chemical smell is still prevalent but it was much worse before I washed and wiped down the interior. I can't imagine how angry a customer would be to pay $800 plus and get a vehicle back in this condition. Dan in service and the service manager Mike at Hyundai were so helpful and understanding during this entire ordeal. Mike took over so I didn't need to deal with Brian any further The dealership replaced my battery at no charge which was not their responsibility at all. They truly went above and beyond. If you value exceptional customer service and quality mechanics you'll definitely appreciate this team! read more

Could not be a worse dealership anywhere. Completely & utterly incompetent, unprofessional, liars & crooks. I bought a new car @ this dealership. The car was not ready for me when I came to pick it up & had to wait over an hour. Car was dirty on the inside when it was handed over to me. There was minor damage on the body that they lied about not knowing about. The driver's windshield wiper did not not work & the salesman was unbelievably rude to us when we brought it back to have it replaced. Even worse than this was that the engine block had rat, mouse & marmot excrement all over it. This excrement has damaged the surface of the engine part. We told them we wanted it fixed. The manager lied to us & said he did not get the message that we had called him. They said it was an $8,000 repair & refused to do it. So we were charged full price for a car with $8,000 damage. It is beyond belief that a dealership could be so incompetent, unprofessional & dishonest. Steer clear away from this dealership. They have absolutely terrible business practices. I will be warning absolutely everyone I know & asking them to warn others about what unprofessional, incompetent liars they are at this dealership. read more

They also have an amazing finance dept which will do whatever it takes to get someone approved even if it means they make NOTHING on the deal ( which is something most finance managers will NOT do if it doesn't pad their own pockets) They also belong to the prestigious Wyant Group so they have HUGE buying power and they have a customer 1st philosophy at all of their dealerships and with having such a good auto group behind them, their inventory for pre owned vehicles is second to none.
