His customer service made me feel comfortable to bring in my vehicle for some work done. As I was sitting there, waiting for my car to be worked on. I was able to witness how they conducted themselves from the customer service over the phone to even interacting with other parts delivery personnel and each other. I share this to say that I felt like I meet a genuine, honest, hard working group of guys. D, I already referred your team that same day. Thank you again. Auto Surgeon will get my business in the future and be recommended to others. Yay, Team Auto Surgeon. THANK YOU! Barefield28

We were driving home from Up North and, while stopping at the Lansing Costco, we noticed a scraping…read moresound coming from the right rear of the car. It was a Saturday afternoon and the dealership's repair shop closed at 3:00 PM. We saw Mavis Tire & Brakes had a 5 star rating and drove to the shop. The signs say "Tuffy Tire & Auto" but it was the correct address. I went in and described our concern, and Brian (who had been at the service desk) said he'd look at it. Within a minute the car was in a service bay. Brian gave everything a quick inspection, confirmed the sound was coming from the right rear, and took the wheel, caliper and disc off. He discovered an emergency brake spring that was loose and causing the sound. He got everything sorted and had us on our way in less than 20 minutes! When I asked him how much we owed, he really surprised me, telling me that he wasn't going to charge us for such a small job! It might have been an easy quick job for Brian, but it saved our day for sure!

Having purchased an older Audi, I had to have a few repairs and maintenance taken care of to get…read morethe car into shape. Blair and his staff are wonderful people and have gained my trust and earned my business. The pricing is fair (undoubtedly beating the "stealerships" by a nice margin) and the place stays busy because of the quality of their work. University Foreign Car was recommended to me by a colleague and I would recommend them to others as well. Their VW/Audi trained technicians diagnose issues accurately and fix them in a timely manner.

Had UFCR do a couple things for me. Valvoline said the inner section of my oil filter was damaged…read more& they replaced it free. So I wanted to have it looked at make sure it was done right & figure out why/how it was damaged. Apparently Valvoline must have dropped it. The damage wasn't caused by the car or road. My car needed a total transmission flush.. they did it in a timely manner & things are working good. The reason I went to them was in the spring I had some issues & come to find out there was a recall for it. When I had called Spartan Toyota (before going tho University Foreign Car Repair) they wanted over $200 to "diagnose". Interesting there's a recall & the dealership wants $ to diagnose a recall. The folks at University told me about it & printed out the recall info thus Spartan repaired it without the diagnostic fee. Who does that? Tells you there's a recall & take it to the dealership & get it fixed free. When I came in this time for these other things (granny flush etc) they told me they had a bad review. Now that I found surprising. These folks have been in business many years & always had a stellar reputation. But I didn't use them until recently. I was very confused by them 1st telling me about the bad review. So I read it. That post after reading it seemed like somethings missing. Maybe it was someone else's card, maybe she had a previous experience that went away? But something in it seems like there's more to it. These people at University knocked hundreds off what they originally quoted me. Even during the quote and drop off. When I came back, it was even less than quoted. The work was great. I had no problem with payment with my card. They were jovial gentleman, and truly seemed like they not only cared about my car, but my budget & me as a person. Some people are just never happy unless it's free & even then....they'd probably complain

Received callback about 30 min later with estimate and timeframe of 2.5-3 weeks. All in-line with other shops. So I agreed and left the car with them. Three weeks later I hadn't had a call so I called and was told it was back together but needed to be checked one last time and should be ready soon. I called three days later and still it wasn't finished. The following Monday I was told again that it just needs to be checked again and should be ready soon. On Wednesday the phone went to message that it was after business hours and to call back. Emailed the shop and no response and still no answer the next day. That Friday there was still no answer no voicemail option and no email response. I went to the shop where a mechanic was in the garage and a note in the door saying the office was closed and to call the business number, which still didn't have an answer or voicemail, to schedule an appointment. I left a written not asking to be contacted. Now another week later the car is 2.5 weeks overdue and I am told the exact thing. It needs to be checked one last time. The owner's daughter claims she is the boss but then said her father is. She is rude. And just says it will be done when it's done. I have zero faith. The other reviews left here we're lucky to get away with a working car. Do Not Take Your Car Here!
