She's still very shy and standoffish doing some of the activities but I love that the instructors are attentive and offer to help her however they can and encourage her a great deal. She's definitely begun to come out of her shell. The other kids in her class are also lovely - I can tell several of them have been doing these classes for a while and they are very sweet with my daughter and exhibit great team work / sportsmanship, which I feel can be attributed at least in part to these classes & the instructors, so that's awesome. The facility is large, bright and clean. Staff members are friendly and helpful. I'll probably sign my daughter up again in the future for more classes!

However, I don't think the behavior I witnessed should be acceptable on any day. This was the worst group fitness instruction I have ever seen. She taught the BodyPump class. She did not give her name, but I eventually saw it on their schedule. I've taken classes at many gyms, including the YMCA, Gold's, Anytime Fitness, and Crossfit boxes. Never once did I question the instructors qualifications or intentions at those organizations. The instructor I had didn't even introduce herself. Didn't once give a quick overview of the class for anybody that may be a newcomer. I found this to be not only unprofessional but rude to those who may be intimidated by group fitness. This woman, who is not even a certified personal trainer, began to berate me by calling me out in front of the entire class on her mic. She told me I "wasn't strong enough" for the weight I was challenged by but in total control of. I've been in powerlifting for several years, so I've been training with heavier weight and therefore have developed the strength necessary. She continued to call me out in front of the class, saying "you! You in the back! I don't care how strong you are!" This is a weight-training class for "all levels." How hard would if be to simply approach the participant and quickly ask them how they're doing? This person had zero qualifications based on my research nor did she know my fitness background to have the right to question my ability. Once again, I've been to many group fitness classes, they were all respectful and encouraging with the proper education and qualifications. I hope nobody else experienced this "trainer's" lack of etiquette.

Jerry, and the rest of his team took notice of what I could and could not do and pushed me to my limits. The Northstar team is very professional, while also being friendly. It is a fun environment with music playing as they train you. They have every ball imaginable and two basketball hoops in the facility. The best way to describe a workout is that they work many different muscles. At one point I was on the treadmills, then on an erg machine, then lifted light weights for reps that worked my back and finished it off with some plate pushes. They also offer a shake for once you are done with the class. Shakes cost $4, strawberry was awesome.

Kids from all sports and ages (I have seen 10 yr olds looking to advance in their sport to those about to try out at pro ball camps) come here and the training sessions are tweaked to the athlete's particular needs. They worry about every participant equally, regardless of their age or skill level and go to athletes' competitions to support them. Jordan has come to the kids' swim practice to observe and talk/learn from their coaches so as to understand their needs. These are an outstanding group of people committed to helping people become their best version of themselves mentally and physically!

The impressive stone gates provided a great preview to the club itself, which was nestled between tons of trees a few hundred yards from the lake. The cocktail hour was outside, where we had great views of the estates dotting the lake. We utilized both the outdoor and indoor space for the 200+ person wedding, and had plenty of space. Though food at wedding is usually mediocre, everything from the passed hors d'oeuvres and appetizer table to the main meal was delicious.

Since Kinnelon Sports and Fitness took over - there have been many improvements; including a saltwater pool and new AC. The staff has been extremely kind and professional. After disputing the charge with my credit card company due to the repeated unauthorized charges, I was told by ABC Fitness Solutions, the billing company, not to worry about it and that the matter was essentially handled. Now, magically they are no longer handling the account and I'm suddenly being sent to collections. Completely unacceptable. This company has been an absolute failure when it comes to customer support, communication, and basic account management. Instead of resolving a legitimate billing issue caused by their own system failures, they've chosen to harass a former customer over charges that should never have existed in the first place. At this point, I'd rather just pay the money and never deal with this gym or ABC Fitness Solutions again. That's how exhausting and frustrating this entire process has been. Avoid if you value transparent billing practices or competent customer service.
