Wow...we are so in love with our wedding photos. Amber did a beautiful job!…read more We met Amber at a wedding open house event when we first got engaged. Her work she displayed that day was so good, but we wanted to do some more looking around before we booked a photographer. We did our research and talked to some other photographers, but Amber's work still stood out as a favorite. We knew we had to set up a meeting with her, and I'm so glad we did! Amber was super professional the entire day. She came prepared with her assistant and all of their equipment. Their confidence made us feel at ease and their positive attitudes even when some guest were getting in the way made us feel that much better. It ended up being a rainy day on our wedding day, so the planned outdoor ceremony was moved indoors at the last minute. Fortunately, Amber was able to get some gorgeous shots even though we were mostly stuck indoors. The dancing was a huge part of our reception and Amber was able to capture some really great candid moments too. Overall, we can't thank her enough. I would highly recommend Amber! : )

Right from the beginning, Maegan was sweet, professional, and easy to work with. She helped us finalize on a location, plan ahead a session timing to capture the golden light during the season, and coordinate color palettes for our outfits. Throughout this process, Maegan stayed well connected with us, understanding and incorporating our interests. During the shoot, she made us feel comfortable posing, meticulously recollected all our requests, did not rush, and took interest in genuinely learning about us to incorporate in a sweet blog post. Once the session was over, she delivered a sneak peek within 48 hours, and all the high quality images within a week, which in my opinion is an amazing turn around time not many photographers out there provide. Photography is just not about the use of expensive cameras. Its about right skills, creativity, an eye for detail, understanding client needs, presence of mind, communication, etc. all of which makes Maegan's composition and quality stand out. If you are looking for a truly talented photographer, scout no further, we highly recommend Maegan.

Even though she was not able to come in the OR to photograph the actual birth the shots she did get are beautiful and capture the emotion of that day. The best part was that during such a personal/intimate experience as labor, her presence was never intrusive or distracting. Those photos are a gift I will treasure forever. I then went on to have her photograph our family for Christmas cards, a mommy and baby session with my new baby and one of the most creative ideas I've seen, her box session with the two kids. I would literally put us in the poor house if left to my own devices when it comes to custom photography! If you value custom photography and capturing your kids/family in photos that you will cherish forever and look back at and smile, then Mollie is your photog! It is definitely money well spent!

Pulling off a wedding is a full time job in itself. I wasn't sure where to start. We had a date and…read morea location so I started looking for a photographer. This is a big day right?! I wanted to make sure that I had photos that would capture the essence of the day not only for my memories but for our future generations to come. So... I started googling and there were a lot of great photographers out there each with their own style. Kristi's photos spoke to me. My husband lived in Marfa for a few years while we dated long distance. We have such fond memories of West Texas and that's really where our love grew. I was amazed at Kristi's ability to capture the uniqueness that is Marfa so I reached out and lucky for us she was available for our date! I felt at ease with her immediately. She's super to work with, very responsive, and her prices were comparable with other photographers I'd contacted. I knew that Kristi was the right photographer for me when she replied to an email pointing out the sunset time of our wedding day (a year away) and suggesting that we move it up 30 minutes to make sure we captured some shots downtown while the lighting was still optimal. I had actually already checked the sunset time and I appreciated that attention to detail but I didn't even think about being downtown and how the sunlit reflects through the streets. We took her advice and moved up the ceremony and truth be told our downtown shots are my absolute favorites. We are big music fans and we have great shots outside of Moody that I love. My hubby is not one that likes a lot of attention placed on him (opposites do attract, I'm a ham) but Kristi's style is so easy going and natural that not only was he able to relax but he actually enjoyed taking all of the different shots during the day. Thru Kristi's recommendations we booked our officiant and a "day of" wedding planner (venue required). We wanted a different kind of wedding than your traditional, run of the mill wedding and Kristi gave us smart advice on little things we could do to make it extra unique and special to us. One of the things she suggested after talking with me was that we got ready, together, just the two of us at our house. It was perfect for us - not rushed, we were relaxed and listening to music, drinking champagne... We're coming up on our 2nd anniversary and we still comment to each other how thankful we are that we got ready together, alone, in our own house. It really set the tone for the rest of the evening and I would have never thought of it had Kristi not mentioned it. I really felt like she took the time to get to know us and our desires ahead of time. She was so much more than "just" a wedding photographer to us. And of course, the day comes and goes in a whirlwind but Kristi was super prompt getting us shots back so we could live it all again. It's a big day; a wedding is a huge investment of time, money, and effort. Best advice I could give to a future bride is find someone that you connect with, that will give you the time you deserve, listen to how you want the day to go. You'll know when you feel the connection. For us Kristi was just phenomenal!

Katie and I were both elite yelpers at one time... in fact, we met at an elite yelp event and we were immediately fast friends. Fast forward to last year and her wedding... during the pre-wedding photo session, the photographer and I hit it off (not like that, perv... I was there with my girlfriend and the photographer is happily married). She was just really awesome... confident and decisive but playful and unobtrusive... she made the photographs fun. And I don't usually like wedding photographers because they usually remind me of former Russian military or crazy hoarder cat-lady... expressing their pent-up need to control others though their 2 hours of power... But I digress... Kristi is amazing, she actually made the wedding MORE fun and the times we were out in the heat (yes, my friend opted for a summer wedding in Austin) enjoyable. In the end, Katie ended-up with amazing photographs (turns out people look better and take better photos when they are happy and having fun) and I ended-up with another friend. I've been best man in two weddings, a groomsman in at least 15, and an user in probably 10 over the years... including Katie's wedding last year. It's no contest, Kristi is the best wedding photographer I've ever seen. So if you're interviewing photographers, put Kristi in the mix. And if you need references, I'll gladly put you in touch with Katie.
