For the past 6 weeks my phone has been over by over 100 viruses that leave apps on my phone. Yes I tried to delete these apps myself could not or it was replaced. I depend on this phone for my job. I want to replace this phone but have pay $450 I refuse to pay this for a highly infective phone and pay for another phone So I will keep this phone is paid off I will have to work with. If I could give this a 'zero' star I would. My son, a YSU student, had a defective device and took the device to this particular Verizon store for assistance. The CSR failed miserably to rectify the situation at the store; therefore, it's been over 48 hours now that my son has STILL NO service! And after spending time at the store/on the phone with CSR & Tech Support, the cellphone service that we've paid for over a decade has failed to provide the service we've grown accustomed to while raising prices. We've launched a formal complaint also. Im thoroughly angered at this particular store because she failed to do her job; and even more angered that there is no access to speak to a store manager. read more

Our family have been with Verizon for many years.. In fact, we were some of the clients that were here when they took over in the area. That said we have had many reps over the years but none that are as wonderful as the staff at The Boardman location. We live in Niles and the service at the Niles location on 422 is so bad that we drive to Boardman to do our business. No matter how busy this store is they always have a friendly staff and seem to appreciate their patrons. We were in yesterday and even when there was an upwards a 25 minute wait time it was still a great experience. Patrons were still leaving with smiles on their faces and ten staff stayed on top of making sure everyone waiting was still in the loop and not feeling slighted. I would especially like to thank their associate, Todd, for always being so up front, honest and really doing all he can to help us. In all our years of service we have done many upgrades, service changes, new phones, etc. and each time we work with Todd he nails our new bill amount correctly! There's never a "surprise" fee and with four lines we appreciate that so very much! He is also always so friendly and you can really tell that not only is he amazing at his job, he truly likes his work and works hard for his clients. Thank you 1,000 times over Todd!! As for Verizon service on the whole...no matter how great the other commercials look, their service just cannot compare to Verizon. My family goes all over Ohio and even out of state and we have never had a service issue. It is nice that even in the rural areas we still get great service. So if you are shopping for a new phone or new service please come see the staff at the Boardman store! If Todd is in tell him Geneva sent ya!! You won't be disappointed! read more

I went to Verizon on Saturday afternoon for help navigating my phone. I am not good with technology at all. (Obviously, since I don't even have my own facebook page!) I have always received great service from this store. Gia helped me on Saturday and I can't say enough good about her. She was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Signed up for a business account where I had to have a certain amount of "lines". Many of the services didn't work and I had to cancel. Everything was out of contract when I did, except HUM which was still under contract according to them. In order to cancel it I had to pay an early termination fee. Why would Hum be on a different contract as the other lines I had. read more

Please read below for the 2 posts I put on Verizon Facebook. Good job @verizon. I am a loyal customer for 15 years. I pay $200 a month to u every month. I have never been late on a payment. I have 4 phones with you and internet service at my house. I went into your Boardman Ohio store to upgrade 2 of my phones which are eligible for upgrade. First I was greeted by one of your CSR that had attitude. In talking about the upgrade she said there would be a charge but even if we wanted to switch she could not stay to do the transfer because she was leaving in 15 minutrs because they were closing. So I asked her how much it was. She left and came back 12 minutes later.....I am assuming to make sure she didn't have to do the transfer..... to tell me the following, it would be an increase in my bill by $15 a month. I would have to sign another 2 year contract and oh yeah they want $600.00 right now......are you kidding me? I have never heard a company want to charge me more to sign a contract for 2 years. That is $180 a year for 2 years or $360 plus the $600, that is almost $1,000.00 I would pay and you are guaranteed to have me for 2 more years paying you an additional $5,000.00. Then when I explained that the other carriers are going to pay me $650 a line to switch she shrugged her shoulders and so sorry, that is our price. I am in the customer service industry and I can not believe that is the attitude I got from one of your front line employees. I will expect to hear back from you but I will be exploring other options for my cell needs as well as my Internet needs. BTW I am also in charge of my cell service for my company which we use Verizon, this will weigh heavily on my future decisions in regards to my cell needs with my company. So I would like to give you an update on the above post. I got a very nice call back from a customer service representative and had a long talk concerning their charges. She was very nice and very professional. But in the end all the charges stated above were legitimate. So I took her advice and compared to some of the other carriers. Now let me recap for just one second. Verizon wanted to up my bill $15 a month for two years or $360 for the life of the contract. That would have brought my monthly total to $228 a month. Then they wanted me to give them $600 on the spot for the two new Galaxy S7 phones that I wanted. So basically over the life of the contract I would have paid an extra $1,000. I went to Sprint they gave me to S7 and to S6. After everything was said and done I now pay $85.50 a month. My suggestion to you Verizon is 2 rethink your payment plan. I would have stayed with Verizon if they have given me those two phones and kept my bill the same. Oh and by the way Sprint gives me 3 gigabyte of data whereas Verizon only gave me 2 gigabyte of data. I will be copying and pasting both of these post on every social media site I can find. Also Sprint is going to pay whatever the costs are for me to get out of my Verizon contract. Needless to say, I am no longer with Verizon. read more

Soooo... Where do I begin... I was a loyal customer since 1989 of Verizon and it's predecessors, i.e. Centel cellular and 360. I was eligible for an upgrade, so I popped into the Boardman Verizon store and after a lengthy wait, about 40 minutes, was greeted by a sales rep. I asked the rep if I could purchase a new iPhone 7s under one condition that since I currently have an unlimited data and text plan on my current account, I would want to keep this plan and purchase the new phone. In short, the rep said, no problem, in fact he admitted, that would be a smart move because they no longer offer these types of accounts. Anyhow, I purchased the phone and a month later started getting billed for excess data usage. I called Verizon and they said, Oh, just go into the store where you purchased the phone and they will take care of it, no problem. Well, I did just that, asked to speak with the manager who basically informed me that I can either return the phone or pay the additional monthly fee. I said, well, what about our contract? I did not authorize a switch in my contract? He basically informed me that they no longer honor contracts such as mine. Hmmm... I informed the manager, that as a business owner, if I did business like him, I.e., not honoring contracts, everyone would be filing lawsuits against me... lol... Long story short, I brought the phone back to Verizon, the manager agreed to terminate my contract, gave me a receipt with refund of my costs and said you will just need to pay your last months phone bill. So, I went on line at the Verizon site, got my balance due for phone service and paid it in full. I then went to Sprint, got the same phone for the same price with no activation fee, upgrade fee as that being charged by Verizon or any other charges and also got unlimited talk, text and data for $65/month which works out to be about half of what I would be charged by Verizon monthly. The following month, I received another bill in the mail for $393 from Verizon with no explanation listed on it, so I went back into the Boardman Verizon store and after well over an hour with the sales rep on the phone to Verizon corporate, they were claiming that they were still going to attempt to charge me an early termination fee... lol... I said... Wait One Minute! I have a cancellation receipt, -0- balance due and returned the phone... The corporate manager claimed I still owed a cancellation fee... At this point, I just notified the corporate manager she had two options, remove this fee or I will drive right over to Boardman court, file a small claims action in our local courts and Verizon will need to hire an attorney. Soooo... She said let me see what I can do... After another 20 minutes and lots of back and forth with the Boardman store Verizon rep, corporate agreed to drop the fee... Sooo,.. I just got another bill in the mail from Verizon yesterday claiming that I owe them another $43 for an interim service fee between when I turned in the phone and the time that I activated my new phone with Sprint. Sounds fishy to me, but I just paid it and said good riddance... AVOID AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE!! GO TO SPRINT! AVOID DOING BUSINESS WITH VERIZON! read more
