Buyer beware. The store on Powerline in Pompano Beach is bad news. My bill was substantially higher than they quoted. I called the sales person twice, he said he would get back to me but never did. Then I went into the store & spoke to the store mgr that referred it to the sales person. Never got a call back. I switched to a diff carrier. read more

I walked in the store, sales associate was helping another individual. I was looking at the earbuds, associate looks up and says rather irritated " I can't help you I'm with someone else". DO NOT PATRONAGE THE VERIZON STORE located at 1201 S Powerline Rd, Pompano Beach, FL 33069 - BUYER BEWARE!! HIDDEN FEES - UNNECESSARY UPSELL CHARGES!! I went to this "authorized dealer" (on 5/7/23) because it was close proximity to my residence - I typically shop/frequent the non-franchise locations; as I realize that franchises are more willing to upsell and not honor what the corporate stores are advertising. Nonetheless, I stopped in this particular "authorized dealer" to see if they would honor the advertised Verizon trade-in on my S21+ phone - the transaction was going good when they would. During my 2 HOUR transaction, the individual who was assisting me (Bryon) said that I while the data is being transferred I can look at their accessories. I looked and didn't find the case I prefer, so I ordered a case on Amazon for $40, to be delivered the same day to my residence. I told Bryon that I'll get a case on my own; at which time, that I could pick out any phone case because "it was included." I said, it was "included" - he replied "yes." Byron also stated that an screen protector and wall charger (aka brick) was "included" as well. I thought, well if it is "included" then I'll take a case that as a back-up. Bryon continued to share the good news, that I pre-qualified for a CC w/ $200 of store credit, which I declined. Bryon tried to upsell me on my home internet service, which I declined. Bryon said that the new phone also "included a FREE Samsung Watch 5" (valued over $200) - with the disclaimer that I would have to pay a "$5.00 monthly fee for the service." I said, why $5.00 for a Bluetooth watch; at which time, Bryon explained that the watch was a dedicated line and I didn't need to be close to my phone for the watch to work - it is a stand alone LTE watch w/ all the apps that is on my phone. I'm like cool - I can talk/text through my watch, even if I inadvertently leave my phone at home - SIGN ME UP for this "FREE watch." After I selected my watch, he didn't have it in stock, but the "FREE watch" would be delivered on Tuesday (5/9) - I said, no problem. During, checkout for my new phone - The bill was $216.63. After 2 HOURS of sitting there and being held for constant upselling progandana - I just paid and left the store. Later, I realized Bryon charged me for wall charger ($39.99), the screen protector ($49.99) and the case ($50.00) - all items that Bryon said was "included" and nor did I select the screen protector or the wall charger (these items were selected by Bryon, because they were "INCLUDED.") I said to myself, my recourse is to return the items when I pickup my "FREE watch" and/or write a lengthy blog (so, here it is as promised...this could've been a positive blog and how the manager corrected my concerns, BUT it was the sales associates/manager that dictated the outcome!) On 5/12, I got a call from the "Authorized Dealer" store aka Verizon....stating my watch was in. I said, great - just to confirm; all I need to do is come in and pick it up? This sales associate said, yes.....(wait for it)...all I would have to do is pay the sales taxes. I replied, on a FREE watch? The sales associate replied, "yes." So, much for FREE - so, I said how much are the sales taxes on the "FREE watch" - the reply was $15-$20 dollars. I said, okay I'll be in shortly. On 5/15, I went to the "authorized dealer" Verizon store to pick-up my "FREE watch" that is going to cost me (average) of $17.00 plus $5.00 a month (scacarsm). This time, a individual came out (of the office) wearing a name tag scribed with "store manager" - I should get great customer service now for sure AND be able to correct the over-charges for the unnecessary accessories. HAHA! The store manager, said that I to pay a ACTIVATION FEE for the "FREE watch" - I said, nope, I don't want it. He tried to salvage the deal, by saying, that I could call Verizon to have it waived. I said, no, you can call Verizon to have it waived - I don't want it now! If you want a great greeting, slick salesmanship, someone to take your money, then fail to transfer all pertinent info to the new device, fail to deliver on services/products purchased and employees who know how to dodge all phone calls, then this is the place to go. Jameson, Ashton and Jeremy were soooo pleasant to work with, while making the sale. Both Ashton and Jeremy have apologized to me on several occasions as I tried to get this issue resolved, but an apology only goes so far when nothing is being handled properly. We purchased 3 phones on March 24th and it is now May 6th and we're still trying to get things resolved. THIS IS NOT A CORPORATE STORE - BUY FROM A CORPORATE STORE. I've left numerous messages for Jameson, the manager, who is always conveniently "off today", "with another client", "the only one in the store and can't talk", "training a new employee", do you get the drift? I was able to reach him one time and he was to look into things and call me back...... ......... After contacting verizon wireless directly again today, who also tried to reach Jameson, but ..... guess what? Jameson was off again and the person working at the store didn't know the district managers number and the other person working that day, who did know the district manager's number, was with a customer and was going to be awhile so would not be able to help us either. All I want is an updated detail of my bill, my otter box, screen protector (which were paid for) and a label to ship back the old phone. Something that should have been handled very simply, has now turned into an issue that didn't need too. I am extremely disappointed in how this entire issue has been handled. Today, I finally reached a rep at Verizon Wireless who actually helped in starting to get this issue resolved. Again, use a corporate store, not this one!! read more

Was very quick and easy helping me transfer my number over helped me out with a bundle deal plus getting a Apple Watch , hands down very happy with the service and if I need anything this will be my first stop for any help or needs concerning my phone read more

Good for phones but If you're going to buy a case for you phone buy it on Amazon, the otter box I wanted was $75 in the store, I think they said $45 with the discount if I bought a new phone. I looked on Amazon and the same exact case is $18 read more

VERY OVERPRICED STORE!! I purchased my iphone there & bought some accessories with it. It was the "Accessory Bundle with the Loyalty Program" - They make you think you are saving $ with the fancy words "Loyalty Program" when in reality they are charging you more - way more. One of the accessories I purchased was a clear screen saver for my phone. They charged me $39.99 for the same exact thing that sells at Walmart for less than $10 - for 2 & other places for about the same price. I had to go there about 5 times to try to get my money back from them. They even lied to me & told me the manager - I believe his name was Jameson - was on vacation & wouldn't return for 2 weeks. My wife and spent over $1000.00 to upgrade our phones from Verizon online. We went to the store to ask for assistance to help put the protective screen cover on and ask a question about the connection of my wife's phone. Sales associate Chris and his manager stated it would cost $35.00 to put the screen protector on since it was not theirs. But, I purchased it from Verizon? I could not believe it. I only took the my new iPhone 12 pro for them to install since they would have done so many that it would be easier for them to install. I declined to pay $35.00 to have a screen protector put on while in the store it took me a whopping 46 seconds to put on the screen protector I put the new screen protector at a table at the store. We were going to purchase additional items for our new phones. But I was so turned off we left the store. I can see from your rating of a 2 how important customer service is to this store. I had purchased several phones and accessories' form this store in the past. But, I will never go back. I hope your rating changes from a 2 to a 1 and lots of people read it before they go to your store. It is great to see 7 employees standing around doing nothing. read more
